it is easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The sync function are good to chack schematic and PCB layout.
What do you dislike about the product?
Import Allegro PCB layout file and GERBER file is not wasy.

it is easier to show the 3D model

Using currently in order to document and create cable wiring diagrams that would be difficult to create using other tools at my disposal

What do you like best about the product?
I like the in-built predictions and simplicity of the software. Designing layouts and routing is as simple as it can get.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lesrning curve at first, especially to understand schematics libraries, but it turns out to be really simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are designing a to z boards for our formula electric racing car. We are also teaching new members on how to use Altium and the basics of circuit analysis.
Easy to use, intuitive, and good for simple and complex designs.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the PCB routing tools: very easy to prepare layer stackup, how to setup the rules (controlled impedances, distances, ...) and the user interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
I prefer the sentence "compile PCB project XXX" that was shown in the previous version than the actual "validate PCB Project XXX".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I develop hardware designs for different clients (Spain, Andorra, France, Chile, ...), and I use Altium Designer to create schemes and PCB layouts. I like the 3D export tool that helps a lot when working with a mechanical team and allows to preview mechanical interferences. It's the tool for hardware design.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely, I made the right choice when 3 or 4 years ago, I decided to invest in the Altium Designer tool. It's a straightforward tool with potent tools or components (PDN Analyzer, Simulations, ...) that helps you deliver very professional projects.
There are many helping resources and courses on the net, and there's complete documentation and webinars at Altium's site.
It has a friendly interface, and I like the possibility of using the SVN to backup your designs.

Best PCB Designer Software
What do you like best about the product?
The UI of the doing the schematic and layout side-by-side.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the component library difficult to navigate. I use a third-party component library, instead.

Best EDA Software I used
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fluidity and the documentation available for this software. Everything is well put together. Altiumcontinues to improve the user experience. The customer support is particularly great! The response time with the live chat is fast.
Also, it is easy to find the features in this software. It is very intuitive.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some basic features are missing. You can't set up a dark theme schematic file if you want to print this document. Some other small things are strangely implemented ,like moving multiple parameters at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We only took a single license of Altium to try it for a year. We are currently making internal boards to test the waters. Some features are exciting compared to our previous EDA software. With the manufacturer part search, it's easy to see what components are available (especially during the current component shortage).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Besides the Altium documentation on their website, I recommend adding forums sites like Stackexchange or EEVBlog to your Google search.
Powerful PCB design tool that is easy to learn
What do you like best about the product?
Altiums ui is very easy to use and intuitive, and the tools such as simulation and calculators included are easy to pick up and use. I have only used eagle before and I prefer altium for it's tools and capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be frustrating some times when the program crashes or hangs up, which happens more often than I would like. This product could be improved by adding easier to follow tutorials since the ones on altiums website are sometimes outdated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all the designs available on the cloud makes it easy to work on projects on different PCs and access designs from my phone if I need to pull something up quick

Layout , GUI, schematic design tools, PDN alalyzer, E-cad M-cad, multi board design and rigid-flex PCB design

The program crashes sometimes. I hope you add PCB simulation tools like DC drop analysis.

Altium designer is an intuitive powerful tool for PCB Design
What do you like best about the product?
The upsides of Altium designer are how powerful the tool is. One particular feature is the manufacturer part search. Another part of Altium designer is the spice generator. This makes it easy to test my design and schematic within the Altium. I also love the interactive routing in Altium designer. This tool makes creating complex PCB layouts all that much simpler, which means I can focus more on troubleshooting and other issues. The layer stack manager makes it easy to perform necessary calculations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful thing about Altium Designer is the footprint component. I find that this often does not conform to existing standards, and external software is better used. Something I wish that altium designer had was the option to work with M1 chips or Apple silicon. I would love to take advantage of this power hardware that I have and I believe that it would be super beneficial to have an ARM verison of altium designer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Altium designer to help with my club team at University. The tools I use include the spice generator, schematics, and the PCB design tool. Another benefit to Altium designer is the packaged format of exports. This makes it easy for me to create a package I can send for review. I have realized that over other tools such as Eagle and other platforms that Altium designer gives the best all-in-one package that is out there right now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The advice that I would give is to look at what you are going to use it for. Is it for PCB Design, just schematics, or anything else? Altium is the best all in one option for anyone and it has been a very valuable asset.

What do you like best about the product?
Altium makes it possible to carry out time-consuming and complex tasks esealy and efficiently, regardless of the project. As I am part of an FSAE team, all the security, telemetry and vehicle activations are only possible due to the software
What do you dislike about the product?
The only problem I've had so far has been learning to use the software from scratch, since the amount of possibilities can leave a beginner confused, but nothing that time won't solve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altium is solving a big problem that my team and I were facing using software from another company, such as the need of a better machi for the development of projects. Furthermore, in Altium we didn't face incompatibility issues between project stages, something very recurrent with the previous software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly recommend the software, even for those who are starting now, it is worth learning to use it, even if it was very complicated and complex at first to understand the tools, but it has greatly improved the development of my projects
