I've been using PCB CAD since 1989. Altium is the worst for bugs.
What do you like best about the product?
Moving around, switching from 2D to 3D instantly. Great net classes implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Convoluted parts creation, inconsistences of using the cloud, unintuitive interface, poor support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Over other PCB packages, nothing. It just adds problems and slows me down.
Altium works great for many applications
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and lots of resources online in case you can't figure something out
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, it seems to work well and works quickly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping to design PCB layout, and using the viewer to locate parts on PCB's

Professional tools with ease of use and learning for Schematic and PCB
What do you like best about the product?
Altium Designe is a professional industry tool for making Schematic and PCB designs. It is easy to learn, all tools are easy to use including the importers, exporters from other tool designs.
I have been using Altium since it was Protel99. After using Altium, you can switch to any other PCB-making tool.
The tool includes the Schematics design options for Heirarichal and straight designs. Altium can be used in a team project, every member can work on different modules and later the complete design can be combined for review and manufacturing.

What do you dislike about the product?
As far as i have used it for almost ten years, I have found very few bugs that I reported. The team can improve the 3D viewer, I think, using some measurement tools, etc. Altium Team can try to improve the procedure of exporting from other tools like Eagle designs.
The procedure for generating Gerber files can also be improved. There should be an option to generate NC Drill files while Generating the Gerber files.
There are some problems in making template for BOM generation.
The print options for schematic and PCB are very user friendly. For getting a print of actual size of PCB, there are a lot to do in print options. It can be improved using some check box if the user want to see the PCB in actual dimensions on the paper before sending it to manufacturing.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Altium Designer for Electronics schematic and PCB designing.
The tool is straightforward to use and learn fast by just following some Video lectures on Youtube. There are some PDF tutorials available in the installation which includes the whole process of making schematic and going towards PCB after verifying schematic design.
My team is using Altium Designer for Consumer Electronics related products. We have used the tool for making PCB containing more than 6 layers. Our most often PCB use four layer design.

Great package with great opportunities
What do you like best about the product?
You can create a lot of templates. You can use parameters everywhere in the design, schematic capture, variants, layouts and output jobs. It helps to keep designs manageable and consistent. Hierarchy designs are great as well. Update from PCB libraries works well. Altium 365 with managed libraries looks like vey good solution for libraries. It solves so many problems. Each component has its own revision history and lifecycle. The best solution I ever seen. Components creation is nice as well, by using IPC wizard or octopart based library, components creation is easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes new updates will introduce bugs which will mess up with your preferred way of using product and you need to adjust. Update from schematic libraries is not great. Sometimes you can find that the same thing can be done in few different ways. Also, a lot of features are hidden and not obvious. Multiboard design looks like a great idea, but for some reason is undeveloped.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Variant control is great. High speed routing technics are helpful. It save time on designs. Version control helps keep data secured and backed up. Repeat sheets, help you to speed up design and manage the same piece of the design easier. Preferences can be set up in various ways to suit each individuals. Layer stack up manager and visualiser is really helpful and can demonstrate effect of small change in track width on the impedance. Can easily create multiple impedance profiles and use them in the design rules.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think about what you need to use it for and have a look at different packages available. Also, consider Altium 365
Altium usage as a simulation web tool
What do you like best about the product?
Web interface is really nice along with multiple options to form different hardware and test with basic firmware
I used raspberry pi module to run simulation and it was a great experience to quickly build a simulation and run the test. Time accuracy is problem but tgat is expected from simulation platforms.

What do you dislike about the product?
Timing complexity cannot be captured. You can use timers and clock isage to fimd out timings as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its easy to access from any pc and your work is saved.
Very handy and professional
What do you like best about the product?
Online BOM import
PCB routing
Schematic design
PCB routing
Schematic design
What do you dislike about the product?
Hanging sometimes during PCB design
Slow to boot up
Slow to boot up
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customising the design
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Nothing
Relatively easy to get started
What do you like best about the product?
Overall I like it as it is, and how it works. There's lots of short-cuts and not so many icons. 3D view is well working and a lot of good output options. There's pretty good Help by pressing F1 and lots of small "how to" videos
What do you dislike about the product?
In general I like to work on grid, and Altium sometimes doesn't work as expected in that matter. Especially when parts already routed is moved. But it might be a matter of setup
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not solving problems as such. Just doing layouts to the projects I'm involved in. No benefits that couldn't have been acquired by other pcb design sw
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Compared to other pcb layout systems I've used I find it very easy to get started. But it helps if you've got experience from other systems. You know what you're looking for and have an idea of where to find it
Altium designer is an amazing tool fairly similar to PCB with multiple functions.
What do you like best about the product?
Rule checking is the best feature which I like the most
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing.its just an amazing tool for use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s a faster tool than other PCB tools
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes
I would highly recommend using Altium Designer
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy and detailed Altium Designer is. It helps PCB designers to achieve and optimize their designs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Generating a lotof warnings for a considerately moderate design
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I grew my skills using Altium Designer, and achieved higher skillset in PCB design
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Altium Designer helps you improve your manufacturing designs. Would totally recommend
Much easier and faster with multiple layers
What do you like best about the product?
I would definitely recommend the Altium Designer highly to my friends and colleagues. After learning other similar softwares which were complicated and restricted usage, I started learning Altium Designer because of the fact that majority of the companies had started working on this. Once I started I could easily figure out how to use this software. That's how easy it was.
What do you dislike about the product?
Generation of Netlists was the only thing I didn't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Design of multiple layers was really easy and simple. The layout would be really easy to design.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes definitely.
