Best softwere to do pcb layout.
What do you like best about the product?
The software is very easy to learn the PCB layout and also provide learning videos and documents. Very easy to use. I most like that it supports 3D view and we clearly show how to fit PCB on the fixture. The design rules for Altium is very easy to learn and easy to remember. altium makes very simple for multi-layer high-speed routing with length match. it does fan out automatically that saves time. also it supports interactive multi routing to route multiple tracks at once. Gerber generation in this software is very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Altium has too many bugs. Please solve these bugs on the lower version. some times bugs cause big problem in design at lower version when I generate pdf of schematic it removes all netlabels so that was a big problem while I share pdf to schematic verification.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can design all type of PCBs with original components mount and it supports 3D molding to set PCB in his fixture. it support to make PCB step file with all components 3D parts that help to design fixture.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's very costly but compared to features it doesn't matter.

Being able to utilize the manufacturer's part search gives extra help in designing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Simulation tool isnt too great. Perhaps more options such dc sweep and ac analysis could make things a little better.

The state of the art tools and features, the vault, and the online assistance

Can be a bit difficult to do certain tasks, but always solved with a google search

Altium Designer as PCB Designing Tool for Power Electronics Applications
What do you like best about the product?
Altium Designer has best hierarchy management. Starting from the Project creation till the PCB Fabrication output stage any changes at any stage can be received and rectified at all stages. Some properties like class creation, room creation are very useful and save a lot of time. 3D support with various outputs like dfx, step, bool help in further analysis of the PCB with various Finite element analysis tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Altium Designer comes loaded with various features but all are not used. Altium does not have any segmented installation option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am designing high frequency high power converters with help of altium designer. Till now none of my fabricated PCBs have disappointed me.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a perfect tool for PCB Designing.
Good Tool with lots of features
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about altium is the ability to use rooms and to update your pcb from schematics with ease. The drc and footprint tools are also useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the number of panels and views, which can probably be condensed without losing any key functionality.

What do you like best about the product?
Altium Designer allows me to perform a complete PCB design workflow within a single software solution. Great documentation and a clear user interface.Generating 3D models and directly export them into SolidWorks files is a huge time saver

Recent updates took away some export options and price.

Component and PCB design! The 3D view helps me visualize how the component will look in real life,

It is a great tool for PCB designers. It allows you to save time for the schematic and layout. The 3D panel is really nice

Almost nothing, I love Altium. Maybe the fact that requires an expensive PC.

The most intuitive E-CAD software on the market
What do you like best about the product?
I like the interaction with Solidworks, how you can push tracks during routing, via stitching and shielding functions and a lot of other features that accelerate your work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think setting up rules for diff pairs and length of tracks that have to be matched could be simpler.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm doing some RF and high speed design pcbs. I believe altium designer is the most human friendly e-card on the market.

That is a software that worth to be used to.
Powerful pcb design tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is a powerful tool, with a lot of features, very profesional
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very user friendly, definitely hard to learn with no training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm not a very active altium user, but I can see it has a lot of advantages and it is very ahead of its competition.

Need training first, it is not easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that you have an all in one suite of tools to perform schematic capture, pcb design, seemless library integration for all industry designs, 3D designs for ease of constraint realization,and signal analysis for all designs. This has made many design projects easy to give realistic design schedules to customers so that bids are realistic.
What do you dislike about the product?
RF design libraries needed to keep up with industry. That's my only complaint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made scheduling with customers realistic and drives realistic metrics on design. A baseline in your Altium setup makes projects go fast.

It's a great all in one tool for PCB and product design in all industries.
