Fast, easy to work with and user friendly.
What do you like best about the product?
Lot of options are automated which helps the user to finish the work fast and easy, also a lot of things can be defined before the user starts to work with and it can finish the ebom or easy order.
What do you dislike about the product?
3D export to step, the reason is that it only export the board and the components but the wires (lines) are not visible and a small problem with the test point. This is seen when the step file is imported to solidworks for further work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
easy import of 3D models from other programs, easier to change components in the schematic, small changes can be done faster, it calculates the distances of the wires that are connecting pins and if you need two pins to be connected with same size wire it can be done by using the options in Altuim Designer

Use Altium Designer You won't regret it, it will help you finish tasks easy and professionally.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, very friendly user interface with lots of options, speed, stability
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmm, most dislikes go to price, but if you consider what you get and when you compare it with other tools you will see very fast that is more powerful than others. And minor dislike to new "GUI" which is introduced in Altium 19, this "Photoshop" look is repelling at the first if you are used to the old ones interfaces (Altium 17, 18) like me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I would say that you have all the tools for PCB design at one place.
A top product for top dollar.
What do you like best about the product?
It did not take long to get to grips with the program. It is intuitive, organized and easy on the eyes. The learning curve is not steep at all, and there are a lot of powerful and time saving capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside is the price.

Creating novel electronic devices, it is usually necessary to generate 3D models, with components included, and to scale. Altium makes this very easy and attractive

In my opinion, this is the best PCB design tool out there. It is very expensive, but if you are a professional electronics hardware developer, you will definitely get your money's worth.

Almost everything is available. Schematic connected with PCB etc.

For new users balloon tips could be very useful when they start to work. Tool for making new component can be much much better and easier. For further info you can contact me.

Easy to Use, Easy to Learn
What do you like best about the product?
I learned how to use Altium about 2 years ago and it didn’t take more than a week for me to figure out the basics, it’s so easy to follow. I love the new dark look that was implemented in Altium 18, it’s very easy on the eyes. All the capabilities it has is very impressive, especially the 3D view of your PCB designs and the entire functionality of the Output Job File.
What do you dislike about the product?
Altium designer is one of the programs that takes the most amount of time to load on my computer, unfortunately that’s the drawback of having so much power in one program. Other than that, it does have the habit of outputting Gerber flies that are blank or unnecessary when you use that function in the output job file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The normal use case is PCB Design and Development. Using Altium allows me to output my files as PDFs, so I can share my designs with non-engineering management who normally don’t use design programs.

I don’t use anything else for PCB Design.

Very easy to learn, easy to manage documentation and very good PCB supervision. Toll well done and user interface very clear

there isn't a direct support. Only with ticket by website. Price increase every year
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiboard design, flex PCB, 3D PCB and mechanical codesign. Very fast to reach goal to final board.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take into account that the PCB board increase complexity every year and if you don't get a performant tool you aren't able to design the PCB. Of course the License cost is increasing every year , but believe me that this is a wonderfull tool to make real your PCB dream.
The powerful Altium Designer
What do you like best about the product?
Altium designer is the best ECAD tool I have ever used. It is full integrated, easy to learn and intuitive program. You don't have to learn this program in order to perform your tasks, just start to realize your creative ideas using just detailed online materials.
Multi-board project capability, component library structures and many other features make this tool unique. With altium, error free and ready for mass production boards are possible to build, and this is from my own experience.
I would strongly recommend this tool.

The old interface is more comfortable to me, the new one is good also, but took some time to fully digest.

Building high speed boards, as well as low power devices in a short time.

Signal integrity tools, I think it could be much better.

I like functions like pin swapping, via shielding, making schematic symbol from pinout table...
