Great insights for across all of GTM

What do you like best about the product?
With Common Room, the entire go-to-market team, from marketing to community to sales, is able to keep a pulse on users and those who are showing the right signals at the right time.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point, the only real downside that we've seen is that our sales team did need to delay getting started just slightly to wait for training. Common Room was able to accomodate that training quickly, but the team was anxious to start acting on the insights they were seeing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company has an active community around both our open source technology as well as our standard platform. But it has been difficult for the GTM team to get insights on how users are interacting with the community as a whole, when they're showing appropriate intent signals and around what topics. With Common Room, we're able to have a more holistic picture of these user insights so that we can deliver the right messaging and information at the right time.

Common Room: The GTM tool for developer tools

What do you like best about the product?
Their wide range of integrations, the ability to setup automated workflows based on filters that can trigger sequences or events in our other GTM tools. They also have a great customer support team and API!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes bulk mutations on segments are slow or the UI doesn't refresh properly--an action has finished on the backend but it's not clear since the UI is displaying that the action is still running. A quick refresh fixes this though
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Open source tools like ours tend to have activity across various communities and platforms. Common Room let's us aggregate them into a centralized place where we can now view them in one dashboard and trigger automated actions.

What do you like best about the product?
The aggregation of all of our signals into one dashboard is the most useful part of Common Room. My team is able to cross coordinate across various platforms to target the right contacts at the right time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating the tool is not as intuitive as it could be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CR gives us the customer intelligence we need, so we know where to focus our efforts.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to unify the identity of our community members across multiple platforms and aggregate their activity
What do you dislike about the product?
No built-in A/B testing functionality within workflows; limited ability to edit workflows that have gone live - you need to start over from scratch is you're changing core functionality within the flow

Common Room allows us to create unified profiles of our community members across multiple platforms and helps us streamline our communications through Slack

Invaluable intelligence across difference sources. Provides powerful anlaytics and insights to understand trends, conversations and key contributors to our platform. I can make informed decisions on high signal users and reach out to them to build relationships

Navigating segments of workflows to create is difficult to do solo without the onboarding manager

What do you like best about the product?
Getting started with CommonRoom was incredibly easy. Within an hour, I connected our social media, website, and more, and began reaping the benefits. Their segmentation feature, prospecting tool, LinkedIn integration, and workflow capabilities enabled me to deliver meaningful results to the team immediately. Additionally, the team has been very responsive and supportive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing tiers are somewhat steep and limiting in terms of seat flexibility, but overall worth the investment.

Common Room providing us with actionable insights and analytics to improve our community and potential customer engagements.

What do you like best about the product?
Common Room automates the collection, analysis, and unification of customer signals to provide insights into customer behavior, preferences, and needs. I use it daily to stay connected with our community.

For product-led sales, these insights help identify when users might be ready for a commercial product. Common Room gathers data from sources like website tracking, LinkedIn, Slack, and GitHub, and it also integrates with other tools like HubSpot or custom APIs.

Additionally, Common Room enables users to automate outreach based on these signals, streamlining the process and making it more efficient. Setting it up is easy, even for those without much technical experience, and their customer support team is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the reports functionality could benefit of more customization - a capability that Common Room is working on.

Exporting data with CSV for manual analysis (e.g. in MS Excel) could be made easier and with more data points.

Some of the processing of data updates could happen more timely (real-time instead of batches).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measure community health and identify intent to buy.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how user-friendly Common Room is! I use it about once a day. The insights and analytics are incredibly helpful for identifying prospects and target accounts. It helps me gain actionable insights and saves me time prospecting and building account lists to target. Their support is very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, LinkedIn info is incomplete or outdated due to old details.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
Simple to engage with Slack community - engagement tools like Workflows and Segments make it an easy process to reach out and converse

Robust Boolean search - you can drill down so many dimensions you feel like you're coding

Good visibility into who's in your community, both by account and member level, across multiple sources

What do you dislike about the product?
The data enrichment could be more thorough. This hasn't been a problem as we utilize multiple data sources, but there are a few community members we don't have great contact info or background for at the outset.

The cost can be high relative to peer technology. But other solutions aren't as comprehensive.

Sometimes segments can be buggy, updates can lag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a company behind an Open Source project, which we are dedicated to growing and supporting. We need to learn about who's in our community both at the account level and the individual level. Common Room lets us know who's joining our community and allows us to easily engage with them.

The ability to source, validate, and stack multiple signal(s) to hone in on your ICP and engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform itself can be a bit challenging to learn should someone be new. However, once you understand how the flow works it's all a filtering system. Should this person do X then comes Z, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Predictable Revenue model has now officially been outdated.

With access to information and internal lower-based employees having a say of yay/nay to solutions; it's a buyer-led era. With CommonRoom, you're now able to hone in on precise targeting to help generate pipe.

e.g. You have a list of 100 contacts, would you rather reach out to someone who downloaded a white page; OR, target someone who was on your pricing page 5 times + follows your company's LinkedIn page + engages on key target topics?
