You won't regret using Monday....

What do you like best about the product?
Monday is the best way to keep track of many things at one time. I work for a construction company and Monday helps us easily keep track of multiple issues at the same time. We use it to track tasks, to do lists, and issues that we have with multiple suppliers. Updates to each issue are simple and we like that we can send emails to each pulse so each issue has supporting documentation attached.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike so far. Monday is great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of multiple problems at the same time with details to support them so I don't have to remember every single detail of each issue. The benefit is that it is easier to keep track of everything and organize and reprioritize what needs done, easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is the fanciest, most organized to do list you have ever used. I recommend this if you are busy, juggling multiple projects, and need something to help you keep track of all of the details of what you are doing.

What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com is a fantastic solution to project management and team co-op—it is very beautiful and incredibly simple. It allowed me to combine flurry of tasks into a single, always-accessible, neatly organized interface—instead of spread across various papers, documents, and emails. And Monday.com isn't just useful—it is fun to use overall!
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Monday.com provides incredible value, the price is still a bit steep—especially for smaller teams. Single user options are not available (for people such as myself) but the costumer success team was able to help me out a bit with that once I had gotten in contact with them. The costumer success team is phenomenal—I can't honestly say that I've ever had a negative experience with the company!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Monday.com for all of my project management, as well as various other uses that it comes in handy for (such as organizing lists or tracking member attendance). It has simplified my task management in a big way and allows me to focus on what is truly important in the moment. Although I don't frequently collaborate, this application does come in handy when I do—especially since it allows me to invite others into the program as guest, instead of an additional paid user. On top of all that, the app is simply a joy to use!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Monday.com won me over with their incredible customer support, and I've stuck around for their continual innovations—the product continues to grow in value the further it is developed.

Great for team projects

What do you like best about the product?
I love many things, but most of all I love that I can share tasks with other people on my team and hold people accountable to their tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the mobile version of the app and I dislike that when there is a lot of information on the boards it is hard to see; it doesn't fit nicely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implementation of new clients requires many people to collaborate on hundreds of tasks and monday.com is the tool we use to keep track of progress. We have realized the benefit of efficient collaboration, less communication via email, and no duplicity of tasks.

They never stop making updates

What do you like best about the product?
Every week there are new features that I've either thought about or wish I had. It's a super easy to use, but very powerful platform that makes keep tracking of multiple types of projects easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the API had the same hooks and events. Would love to have deeper control from our stack (automatically filing bugs from our server for instance).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using (and still are in some cases) multiple softwares to keep track of specific aspects of our business from product and project management to crm, to tracking content rollouts, and even keeping track of our fundraising. We've moved most of those into Monday, and are looking forward to moving them all as the software evolves.

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is fun to use so once you get past the slight learning curve it becomes second nature to open and utilize.
What do you dislike about the product?
A direct integration with gmail and google calendar that better facilitates reminders for deadlines etc would be great to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily productivity and tracking efficiency of my team. I've realized that when a fun tool is implemented, tracking productivity and efficiency becomes much easier.

Monday helps us stay on task, on the same page and on track with all kinds of projects.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Monday is as simple as using an Excel spreadsheet but gives me the kind of powerful tools I used to need a complex project management platform to get. For example, I can collect line items (a.k.a. data records or project tasks) using a form view of my board for users who don't need regular access to the board or wouldn't actively manage the items. I can collect other line items from the managers and team members that share the board.

Then, we can all manage the tasks/pulses together and even contain all interactions and communications related to each right there in context. We get alerts when an update is posted and we can either respond by simply reply to the email or click over to the board and reply inline. Either way, all the comms are captured in one place–right there in the pulse! LOVE it!

Finally, I can export the board or actually broadcast it online and even embed it on my website to report out progress to appropriate stakeholders. This is too good to be true. Need a GANTT view? No problem, it has that. Want to see your pulses on a calendar by due date? How about by completion date? No problem, it has that. What if you just want to see your assigned items, or just the due items, or just the incomplete items, it's intuitive filtering does all that.

I'm sure I sound like a commercial. It's because in my previous careers I've used solutions like TeamGantt.com or Smartsheets and wrestled with the varying levels of good and bad user interface, paid steep user license fees and had to onboard non-technical users. I now lead a team of volunteers with varying technical aptitudes at a non-profit organization and the ease-of-use and level of service that the Monday team consistently provides has blown my socks off. I sincerely love Monday.com!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. If I had to come up with SOMETHING that I would change or a new feature I would introduce, I guess I would provide a way to send a generic note to my whole team or a whole board that was not tied to a specific pulse. If there is a way to do this, I may just be overlooking it. Wouldn't surprise me if there is already a feature for this. These guys think of EVERYTHING!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Monday for everything from a big ideas parking lot for long term planning to tracking alarm access codes, social media and print content calendars, event registrations, facility work orders, weekly custodial task tracking, quarterly routine building maintenance, leadership development initiatives tracking and even Monday.com training progress for new users. And I feel like we're just scratching the surface. Who knows what else we'll be using it for a year from now!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sign up for a trial. As you "kick the tires", do not hesitate to reach out to support with any questions. They are super responsive and helpful. It's a foreshadow of the level of service they will provide to you once you're a customer.

Change in our productivity before and after using monday

  • November 19, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility, the consistency among the features, the cool look, the many tools and the posibilities of customization, the versatility. It's really easy to adapt to many kinds of projects. I think it's really easy and practical tool, that`s what I like the most. Adoption by the team increased a lot from the past PM software we used thanks to the visuals and estethic of monday.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some features I would like in order to make a little bit more powerful such as linking the pulses end-to-end, end-to-start, etc. I think the cost and resource tracking could improve still quite a bit, I sometimes need those and have to do a lot of work to cover this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a consultancy firm and we offer three month standar programm, we use monday to let them keep track of our progress using shareable boards. We also concentrate all the information and the main development of the programm in everyboard, so we reduce significantly the use of other documents and tools. Basically we reduce to a couple of Drive folders and the rest is all on monday.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want something with the righ amount of features, nothing too specific, but still with usefull and helpfull tools, this is for you

Software Product Specialist

What do you like best about the product?
First and foremost, their customer service is top notch. The staff has gone above and beyond during each interaction i've had with their success and support teams (looking at you Erin). They are invested in your success beyond just being a paying customer, which is a rare find in the software market. Secondly, and almost as important to me is their aggressive new feature release schedule. Monday.com is constantly bringing us new features but beyond that, they are features that are driven by the community it serves. Furthermore, they provide informative new release emails and webinars so you can start taking advantage of the enhanced functionality, quickly! You know what's better than a well designed new feature? A well designed and well explained new feature that I can start using right away if it suits my needs.

The software itself is well designed and perfect for people like myself who are visually motivated. It has all the features you'd expect from a robust project management platform and more! I've tried almost all of the other softwares listed as competitors to Monday.com (Asana, Trello, Smartsheet...) and while they all do some things really well, I was using a combination of 3 or so at a time to accomplish everything I needed. There was a huge sigh of relief when I found Monday.com. Feature full and visually appealing is what I needed in a project management / time tracking / task planning tool and that's exactly what I have now. However if you do like a best-in-breed approach, they make it easy to integrate your other tools. I still use Todoist with a Zapier integration to Monday.com.

Like almost everyone else in the tech/software industry I use a myriad of different applications, mostly selected and provided by our employers. I've been equipped with a full suite of productivity options which are good and "industry standard" (and free for me to use), but I've chosen to pay out of pocket to use Monday.com. Why? 1) The visual aspect motivates me to get things done. 2) I trust that every piece of info I add will not be lost, it stays neatly tied to projects in one place, no matter what format. 3) Customizability! I can use Monday.com the way I want to use it and I can self-serve configuring the application for my needs.

Just try it, you won't be disappointed.
What do you dislike about the product?
If i'm being picky, the UI is too wide for the mobile app which makes it hard to use on the go. The app is good for viewing quick info but hard to manipulate from smaller devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Information management - keeping all related data in one neat spot so i'm not clicking 2-3 different apps to find all the info I need.
2. Project task tracking - ability to track tasks and stay on top of outstanding work, at a glance.
3. Scoping project timelines - planning task time to stay on track with project deadlines
4. Productivity - using Monday.com has increased my productivity and improved my time management skills.
5. Work logging - We can't get away from work logs in apps like JIRA and OpenAir but Monday.com has made it easier to keep track of what i'm spending my time on. The quality of my logging has improved and I can justify my time as being allocated to revenue generating activities because i'm tracking them as such.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it, then try to stop using it. You won't be able to.

A very good work tool

What do you like best about the product?
I like how we in our team can collect everythin gregarding our production in one place, and still keep the job seperate. Everythin gis very structured and I love that one can customize everything to your own needs. We are a smaller tv-studio and we can plan everything from preproductiojn to postproduction in monday, and it's working very well!
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't gotten the sync between google calendar and monday to work yet, and that's a bit frustrating. But the monday team is very helpful, so I imagne we'll sort it out soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do our project planing and organize job tasks in monday. We also keep track of our contacts and social media updates through monday.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're working with projects with many steps and more than two people involved, I really do recommend monday.com! It will help you stay organized, the support help is amazing and you get the freedom to build it after your own needs.
