Always Improving

  • March 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
They are always updating and improving their platform. It does help to keep track of outstanding invoices and projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have several financial columns and the zeros do not display after the decimal. For example: $40.50 displays as $40.5. I requested the ability to change the column display to have financial amounts display fully in to two decimal places since we started 2 years ago but it has yet to be addressed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping to combine ideas, testing, documentation, product management, event planning, task management, and A/R all in one place. This keeps us from having to go to multiple places to get the same information and to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Perfect utility for your business

  • March 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A perfect tool that offers many options and especially if something is missing, it is possible to code your own formula and we use this option a lot to make our work easier, e.g. reporting for clients
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, this is the tool we were looking for. Everything works great, we have several tables, thanks to which our projects are organized and clear. The possibility of creating your own status is excellent
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We clearly know which tasks have been processed and which still remain. Colleagues can see deadlines, they can ask questions if they don't understand something, and everything is clearly visible in the task. We have created our own processing statuses and no longer have to struggle with emails and finding information in them.

Excellent Company / Project Management Software

  • March 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Monday has created an amzing software that is highy customizable giving the opportunity to customers to create all different kinds of management tables in order to aid their company's organization and management. The mobile application is very smooth and easy to use making all the information accessible on the go. Their support is fast and helpful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile application could be better since it is very strict on how much you can control and edit in the administration side. Meaning, you can not easily modify settings of specific tables etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By thinking ouside the box, we have managed to make monday cover almost all our company needs. All the way from accounting and handling taxes, invoices and payments to managing our client data, projects and storing informaiton, to also having all our position documentations on the app in order for everyone to access and solve any company related issues someone might face.

Great tool to help keep your project and tasks organized

  • March 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to set up and use to collaborate with colleagues all over the globe.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for setting up boards and items was a bit longer than I would have liked. But once you have it set up the proper way, it's great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have a clear form for all the items we need to add to our website, as well as a separate board for online site issues. We use Monday.com to triage the issues and collaborate with outside dev support to get the issues resolved.

User experience review

  • March 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Monday.com for a few months now, and I have to say it's been a game-changer for my team's productivity. The platform is incredibly easy to use, and the interface is clean and simple. The ability to customize the workflow has allowed us to tailor the tool to our specific project management needs, which has saved us a lot of time and headaches.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was excited to try Monday.com as a project management tool for my team, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The customization options, while extensive, felt overwhelming and challenging to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's not integrated with other communication tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams.

A postive experience of monday.com

  • March 25, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I particularly like is the flexibility to customise monday.com to meet my needs. I use monday.com to manage workflows that cannot served by any "off the shelf" tool. Monday.com integrates with some of our other tools, such as Zendesk, and helps our team to be more productive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really dislike anything, however there are a few limitations that I have had with subitems - I would expect subitems to be able to inherit more from their parents, and this can cause problems for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously we used a number of different tools that didn't integrate well with one another. We are gradually replacing them with monday.com, so that we have one integrated solution. Among others, we are phasing out MS Project, Basecamp and our CRM. This allows us to have a holistic view of all our client activities, and manage projects from inception, through to launch, and into ongoing support, all within the same environment. We have struggled to find a suitable tool for internal QA and extrernal UAT that meets all our needs, and Monday.com does this. We also have a number of repetitive scheduled tasks, such as SSL renewal, password resets, security scans etc. We use monday.com to manage these and trigger scheduled tasks so that these things do not get overlooked.

Flexible, easy to use, adds transparency to project tracking

  • March 23, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I am an implementation consultant, so I help clients create workflows, automations and integrations in the monday.com suite of products.

I also use monday.com in my own business to track clients (CRM) and client projects (work management).

For clients, I have worked with the following verticals: real estate, non-profit, veterinary practice build-outs, insurance, lab management, and many more.

How has it helped my organization?

monday.com assists me in marketing to new clients, tracking current client projects, billing, action items, etc.

What is most valuable?

monday.com has so many features and the company continues to improve the product suite continually. I love the ability to create workflows, integrate with other products either through 3rd party apps or using make.com.

One of my favorite features is the Updates section which allows the users to track conversations and/or emails within the monday.com product. No more going back and forth to email and trying to determine the latest thread and exactly where you are on the project.

What needs improvement?

I am impressed with the amount of features that monday.com continues to release on a consistent basis.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the solution for over five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It's pretty stable, but they're transitioning its code to another platform. So, we are getting some stability issues. We get a notice that automations aren't working. They usually fix such issues within an hour or two. There have been very infrequent issues that have taken longer than a day. They're on top of that part, so I'd still say that it's a stable platform even though they are doing this transition, and we do have some messages that come through saying that something is down. It's more stable compared to others I've worked on.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It's very easy to add new users. It has the ability where when you add a new user to your account and you're over your allotted number of users, they just go ahead and bill you for that. You don't have to do anything. As long as you have a payment form, like most software companies nowadays, they'll just go ahead and bill you for that. It's extremely easy to do that.

How are customer service and support?

monday.com has implemented additional ways to contact support. As they grow, I do not feel their support is as fast as it used to be with responses, but you do get a response. And when the chat feature works correctly, you can get an almost immediate response. I see support as a current area of improvement for monday.com. However, if you work with a consultant, you can get support from them and they have access to support in different ways as well.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I've worked with many of the workflow management tools on the market in the past. I personally switched from Trello to monday.com due to the configurability, automations, integrations, and 3rd party app availability. I find it easier to use and accomplish what I wish for my workflow.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward in my opinion, depending on your workflow, of course.

What about the implementation team?

I suggest using a vendor for your implementation. As an implementor, I help my clients map out their workflow, create the boards, automations, 3rd party apps, and integrations. I've seen many businesses try the setup on their own and then get frustrated and transfer to a different product only to have similar issues. As a software consultant for over 25 years, I've "rescued" a number of implementation that were not setup to the clients needs and therefore failed from the clients perspective.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I feel that the pricing for monday.com is fair for the features that you receive. Even for smaller businesses, I would suggest the pro plan for the features it includes. For medium to larger business, the enterprise plan includes many feature that you may need as your use of monday.com grows.
