Handy for quick integrations

  • May 05, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zapper has an easy interface that makes it easy to see how your products could work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to IFTTT, I do not like Zapier's freemium model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problems that arise when different programs doing different tasks aren't coordinating with each other. Zapier is a great tool to link your systems together.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give their free zaps a try before moving into a paid model.

Easy Way To Enrich / Integrate Your Service

  • May 04, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The number of Zaps that can be created is really only limited by your imagination. It is also a great way to expand the reach of your offering as it allows Zaps to be created with non-integrated offerings.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little complex for novice users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zapier allows a way to integrate and expand the reach of our technology without having to build native integrations to all the services.

Effective tool, but with limitations

  • May 04, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zapier's greatest appeal is its accessibility for multiple softwares across multiple platforms. Especially for small start-ups without an extensive engineering team, Zapier can solve many communication issues within different departments and tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zapier has its limitations, often based on the API limitations of the softwares, themselves. For instance, when using a certain landing page software (Unbounce) to deliver lead information into our CRM (Zoho), the limitation's of Zoho's API prevented Zapier from triggering webhooks within the Zoho system, and Zapier was essentially rendered useless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problems we are solving with Zapier involve improving communication between our different softwares. The benefits we have realized greatly outweigh the limitations, as we are a small team without extensive engineering resources to dedicate to API development.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to research your internal systems before purchasing. If you have a CRM like Salesforce that easily and readily connects to other programs, the upfront investment and better communication may outweigh a system like Zapier. But if that's not an option, Zapier provides easy integrations.

Zap 4 Life

  • May 03, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to integrate with almost every single business (and personal) common platforms and tools that exist today. It is an incredibly powerful tool that allows for the automation of tedious tasks, or simple note taking via the forwarding of an email, or assigning work to a particular department based on the type of contact/case/api that is triggered.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integrations can sometimes be a little limited. Particularly the Salesforce integration. More flexibility of triggering Zap's based on very specific requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of kudos to the entire team. Automation of low NPS scores sent directly to a Slack channel for immediate action or addressing by a CSR. Allows us to really stay on top of improving the customer experience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it. The more time you're able to save by automating things during your day to day (and it will be a lot), you can spend on increasing customer satisfaction, increasing revenue, and accomplishing goals.

Easy way to connect apps

  • May 03, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's user friendly and requires little to no technical knowledge. Zapier has a great range of apps to choose from and it's very plug and play for what it can do.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to get a better preview of what Zapier can do if I don't currently subscribe to an app. Sometimes I want to see what my options are for hooking things together before I commit to purchasing them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to keep our systems inline without having an ERP or data warehousing solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great product - if you aren't sure what you can do with it, browse through some of their recommendations in the app store.

Cool Concept, But I Wish I Knew How to Apply it!

  • May 02, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It really seems like there are a lot of applications for 'Zaps' as they call them. They support a wide variety of popular software's and services.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know where to begin! Do I even need to use Zapier? With so many current softwares offering integrations and API's, it is difficult to come up with problems that can only be solved by Zapier. It seems like the use case for Zapier is arbitrary, I wish it seemed like a more useful service because it is a cool idea.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating emails from posts and rows of data. Logging data from posts into spreadsheets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It seems like Zapier can help in very specific, and sometimes arbitrary scenarios. For example, documenting a post from Salesforce Chatter into Google docs. Ok, that is cool, but do I really need it? Can't I already report on Chatter using Salesforce tools?

Zapier makes the internet work as a team

  • April 28, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zapier allows to connect different services and apps. An event generated in a app (like a message arriving in Gmail or a post on Facebook) triggers actions in another app (like creating a related task in Google Calendar or saving images in Dropbox. It simplifies some day to day tasks. I really liked how it allows to fine tune each event and corresponding action.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite the great number of services connected, I felt some absences like Diigo. Also, it would be nice to have a better showcase of popular zaps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work at home and in two different places. Zapier allows me to centralize notifications and information (reviews, posts, references) from different sources and archive/organize them easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is very powerful for business and autonomous professionals.

Zapier great for integrating platforms with no prior connection

  • April 27, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I liked how easy Zaps are to set up. You choose from a list of platforms you'd like to integrate, then choose from a list of triggers that would activate the Zap across the platforms. I never came across a platform that I couldn't find, or a trigger that I couldn't find!

The team was very thorough in building out the app and knew the different platforms they were integrating with very well!
What do you dislike about the product?
If there is one complaint I had about the app, it was that sometimes the connection between platforms or Zaps would break, and we wouldn't be notified until something failed. We were checking Zapier daily to make sure everything was running properly. Things only broke a few times, but it was better to check frequently then to have a trigger fail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were having problems with lots of manual work. Whenever we got a new lead, we would manually add it to our CRM, then manually add it to our email subscriber list, and have to manually set up autoresponder emails.

After a couple hours of setting up and testing Zapier to make sure everything worked correctly, it was saving us several hours a week. Instead of manually entering and moving around data, Zapier was doing it for us.

Great tool for automation

  • April 27, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Really easy to use with no prior experience or training.
What do you dislike about the product?
I need to use one feature that is not included in the free account. I don't want to upgrade to a paid account for that one feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data feed from a Google Sheet to Jira. This has allowed us to keep the same front end process we had but integrate with our new project management tool, Jira.

    Entertainment

Business Class Data Events

  • April 25, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Zapier integrates better and with more services used in the workplace and its competitors. The whole process to setup triggers and events is fairly straightforward and allows for some powerful workflows to be created without needed to know any development. Being able to streamline common tasks that I do daily has greatly helped my productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that there are not (last I checked) any integrations with btt or blink(1). These are really cool, open ended tools that would help notify and interact with certain processes on an individual basis. There are a handful of other integrations that I use IFTTT for and would love to see more of the IFTTT integrations adopted in Zapier - have all my triggers in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are tons of workflows that have been improved, from meeting setups, calendar invites and email management that myself and co-workers use. Being able to get alerts on software builds and such right on my phone is nice, don't have to log into multiple places to get updates. I don't think we have fully realized all of the features this tool had yet - tons to try out and explore. I think in the end, we are trying to trim down excess repetitive tasks to focus on our work at hand.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Explore it, try new things, and even make goofy integrations to get used to the software. There is a lot to automate and you can only truly understand it by trying things!
