A Swiss Army Knife of Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
Zapier makes it incredibly easy for us to build out business automation without engaging more senior development resources. It allows us to streamline workflows and experiment with quicker ways to be more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zaps can get complex quickly! Pulling data fields from one source, transforming the data, and then delivering it into another integration in the correct format can require a lot of trial and error. For less experienced users, this can be challenging. It would be incredible if Zapier could provide context-aware recommendations for the next steps, transformations, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Zapier to automate workflows stemming from Salesforce, creating new records in other tools, and transferring relevant data into those tools. It ensures consistent operations and frees our team from performing trivial tasks.
Offers a diverse range of built-in integrations
What is our primary use case?
Zapier is a really good tool for connecting multiple different platforms and data sources. For example, with Quickbase, I can easily integrate data from other sources like AWS or task-tracking platforms such as ClickUp or Asana. It's very very similar to QuickDesk's pipeline feature but offers more depth. Another example would be integrating with apps like Airtable, Salesforce, or Hub. Zapier has connections for all of these platforms, making it easy to connect and move data. It's essentially a tool for automating tasks.
How has it helped my organization?
Zapier has allowed me to integrate between two different platforms a lot quicker than if I had to manually write APIs or Webhooks.
I'm open to using it when there's a use case for it. If something can be handled with QuickDesk pipelines, I would prefer to use that because the client is typically already paying for Quickbase, which includes pipelines. However, if there's a situation where Zapier is better suited, such as having a built-in integration that pipelines don't offer, I would consider using Zapier. Currently, I don't have any specific plans in mind.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature is the wide variety of built-in integrations it offers. In my experience, I haven't come across anything else that provides such a diverse range of connections.
What needs improvement?
I would like to see them improve the Quickbase integration. Currently, it only allows triggering actions when records are added, but it would be more useful if we could also trigger actions when records are modified or deleted. It would be helpful if these features were there.
For how long have I used the solution?
I started using Zapier probably four and a half to five years ago. However, I haven't been using it as heavily. I used it a lot in the beginning, and then I recently started using it again a few months ago. So, I feel pretty confident in using that tool. I am using the latest version.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I would rate it around nine. It's very stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I would say it's probably an eight.
How are customer service and support?
I have spoken to thecustomer service and support team about a few technical matters. I would say their technical support is very good.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward. It's essentially a low-code platform for making API and web calls.
What was our ROI?
In my experience, it provides a good return on investment.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It's very affordable, especially for companies.
What other advice do I have?
I would say that there are certainly other software options available for Zapier, and I would encourage you to explore each one to consider what you're trying to integrate. However, Zapier is a really good tool and worth looking into.
Overall, I would give it a nine.

What do you dislike about the product?
I tried to set up my account a couple of times. I spent about two days each time, and I could not achieve what I wanted. I got really frustrated. I was using automate.io, and that software worked just fine, and the support team was really helpful. With Zapier I did not have the same experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to automate certain things, as I used to do with automate.io (for example, link Notion databases with my Google calendar to set appointments or send an e-mail or text-message each time a client schedules an appointment. But I never could do it.

What do you dislike about the product?
I appreciate the convenience that Zapier provides when it comes to connecting disparate applications and services, but I have found its scheduling feature for multi-step tasks to be unreliable. Instead of relying on Zapier's calendar integration in this situation, I would strongly recommend using your help desk software's native scheduling tools, as they will provide a much more reliable result.
