What I like best about the Conviva Operational Data Platform is its ability to provide real-time, granular insights into streaming performance and viewer engagement across multiple platforms. The platform's analytics are not only fast but also incredibly detailed, which helps operational teams quickly identify and resolve issues, optimize user experience, and make data-driven decisions. Its intuitive dashboard and customizable metrics make it easy to monitor key KPIs, while its scalability ensures it can handle high volumes of data without compromising performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the Conviva Operational Data Platform is powerful, one area for improvement is the complexity of its interface for new users. The depth of data and number of metrics available can be overwhelming at first, and there’s a learning curve before teams can fully leverage its capabilities. Additionally, some users may find that integrating Conviva data with other internal tools or platforms requires additional effort or technical support. Conviva Operational Data Platform is solving key challenges around real-time visibility, performance monitoring, and viewer experience optimization across streaming platforms. It enables us to proactively detect and resolve issues such as buffering, low video quality, and playback errors before they impact large segments of users. By providing granular, real-time data across devices and regions, it helps us ensure consistent quality of service and improves decision-making across content, operations, and engineering teams. This not only enhances viewer satisfaction but also supports business goals like retention and engagement.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Conviva really helpful—it gives accurate, detailed analytics that make it easier to monitor streaming performance. The dashboard is simple to use, and the real-time data is great for troubleshooting issues quickly. The only thing I’d like to see improved is reducing the occasional delays in data updates.

Conviva is generally useful, but I dislike the occasional delays in data updates, as it can affect timely troubleshooting. I also feel that the interface could be more intuitive in certain areas to make navigation faster

I need to be able to quickly compare platform data. Conviva makes this very simple and straightforward with the ability to save views and settings.

It should have a tour, come with formal training. I needed a colleague to give me a tour before I was able to use or understand anything.

We are watching user analytics such as customer experiences, product failures, etc.
These help our teams prioritize issues we need to support. This also gives executive trustworthy data over time so we can understand where we need to focus and if our efforts are properly focused.

What do you like best about the product?
fast , granular and ott centric, the depth in which we debug production issues with conviva is exceptional
What do you dislike about the product?
So much to learn and there should be a chat-gpt like bot only to understand and crunch our data for insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I specifically work on different connected Tvs and web, we have plethora of CTV models its hard to test on all, we get few customer complaints we always tent to go through user journey recorded and also the events auto collected, here is where conviva comes handy to understand real world issues and helps us in reproducing and thus fixing .

I can't sign in occasionally, like right now and yesterday I get a 404 error and we are not sure how to fix it

Conviva Data platform is real-time, end-to-end visibility into streaming performance across all devices and regions. The platform offers granular data that empowers our team to proactively identify and resolve playback issues. Integrating across devices is very easy and it well documented with good technical support whenever required.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Conviva's data is extremely powerful, there are few areas where there's room for improvement like
Learning curve for customization: Building custom dashboard or extracting metrics sometimes required a deeper understanding of the data model. A more intuitive self-serve interface would greatly enhance usability for non technical team.

What I love most about the Conviva Operational Data Platform is its ability to provide detailed, real-time insights into video performance and audience behavior. It aggregates data from multiple sources and presents it in a unified dashboard, making it easy for our team to quickly identify and resolve issues, optimize content delivery, and increase audience engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
My previous requests to include the Interval Unique Device (IUD) metric were not approved. However, I believe this metric provides significant value, as it enables us to aggregate unique device counts within a defined time interval — offering a more accurate representation of active users over time. This level of granularity is essential for better audience analysis, performance measurement, and trend identification across streaming sessions
