A game changer for real-time ideas with this platform
What do you like best about the product?
I love the real-time data processing, its insane. We dont just see a dashboard, we see whats happening, which is amazing. I love that our team can make decisions quickly. The interface is also suprisingly clear, which I liked.
What do you dislike about the product?
While customization is great, getting the stamp just right and generating the report took longer than we expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This Conviva operational data platform helps us with its ability to access instant, actionable inisghts and has changed the way we work using its digital experience monitoring and analytics features-and its worth single one of its features.
Conviva seems to know what I need to monitor and troubleshoot the stream
What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can drill down into the data, filtering, crossing dimensions, taking out, etc. I also like how you can work directly in the graph, like zooming, highlighting, among other things you can do.
Even, if you want to be more specific, you can even go to a session level and see what the was doing, which is really good when you want to dive into what the device was doing. These peace of info is really useful when debugging specific issues.
The AI monitoring is actually good, although I think still needs some tweaks.
Overall I think it is a powerful tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
What is beneficial in one way, sometime is not in the other, when it comes to the data presented by Conviva. Too much information sometimes it is just confusing, but I guess it is less painful whilst you get more experience on it.
Conviva session, it is great. But some of them just doesn't make sense so you don't know how reliable is the info. It might be a me problem maybe not understanding the data. I reckon I should report those confusing cases, but because there are thousands of sessions, then you don't know whether it is one off, of part of a pattern, so I just don't bother.
SPI: This is also a me problem again, but I couldn't grasp the idea of it, and as far as I know, we as a team, it is not a standard/metric that we usually talk about it when discussing about streaming performance, although in contrast it seems is something you guys gives lot of importance.
Documentation: Unfortunately I can't give examples at the moment, but I found myself in circumstances analysing data, e.g. sessions and couldn't find information about what it was an specific definition, or it is mentioned but not clear or not enough.
Conviva AI. I think it has potential, we use it, but at the moment we had to enable back again manual alerts to complement some grey areas that AI is not smart enough or it haven't got the hability/flexibility to adapt.
Layout. A bit annoying when one demension takes the whole width, specially when you are in a small monitor (Laptop) and you scroll down with the mouse and you need to position the pointer just right at the side of the screen to scroll down to the bottom, otherwise it will scroll down on the dimension it self. Sorry, I know a bit silly, but it becomes a bit annoying for me when you get called out 2am in the morning :)

Monitoring the streaming performance. As part of the SRE team, we want our customer to have a smooth experience when using C4 app. Conviva metrics helps us stay under benchmark standards and obviously detect operational issues pretty quick when they happens and fulfil our SLA for Incidents.

Huge amounts of Data have the downside of becoming overwhelmed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform, with the use cases implemented, helps us monitor almost all kinds of activities concerning our OTT services, being able to evaluate application deploys, comparing different versions, configurations, channel settings, etc. On the other hand, indirectly, its like having a probe monitoring our networks.

I often use certain pages and tooling. Its very easy and simple to ready and understand. It can be a page full of information via the viewers page for exmaple but reading it and seeing the visuals are great.

certain pages are no longer available but the links are, having those removed would be great. Not many things i dislike. conviva is a great tool

i am part of a team that is tech and customer driven so we use this tool to measure things daily.

What do you like best about the product?
The operational aspect is very well managed, thanks to the tools provided by Conviva. It helps us with troubleshooting when there is a problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would have liked to love having a little Manuel

When we have problems, we search and search for a deep type of problem, thanks to histories, thanks to analyses, thanks to filters.
Tracking Playback Failures Made Easy with Conviva
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Conviva Operational Data Platform is its ability to provide real-time, granular insights into video playback performance across our entire app ecosystem. It helps us identify which channels are failing, where they are failing geographically, and even which specific users are impacted. This level of visibility is extremely valuable for quickly diagnosing issues, improving user experience, and making data-driven decisions.
Using this we are able to find where our cdn's are not working fine.

Conviva helps us solve the critical problem of blind spots in video playback performance across our streaming app.
Before using Conviva, it was difficult to pinpoint the root cause of playback failures or quality degradation—especially at the channel, location, or individual user level.
With Conviva, we now get real-time, actionable insights into buffering, failures, startup time, and streaming quality. It allows us to detect and respond to issues proactively—such as identifying underperforming channels, regions with frequent failures, or specific users facing consistent problems. This not only improves our response time but also enhances the overall viewer experience and reduces churn. It has become an essential part of our observability and QA workflows.
Using this we have enabled a Multi cdn based engine, where we get real time data of CDN performance using conviva, and based on that we decide which CDN is best.

I appreciate the Conviva Operational Data Platform for consolidating all features on one platform, making it easier for me to generate and share reports. Its time-based and device-based analysis significantly enhance my decision-making. The straightforward and hassle-free setup is a major plus, allowing me to quickly verify my email and start using the platform seamlessly. Its comprehensive metrics, such as video start time and video player failures, help me conduct detailed comparative analyses for better feature delivery. Consistency in availability and reliability makes me inclined to continue using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would appreciate an export feature where I could download data to Excel for further comparison. The current graphs could be more elaborative, or offer more diagrammatic representations to effectively pinpoint and understand the impact.

I think the interface is very relatable and easy to use.

I would love to be able to see titles as well as PIDs on this platform. This would make it easier to identify which IDs are correct.

Conviva is allowing my company to keep track of the real-time analytics from across the world. This makes it simple to focus in on specifically affected areas and devices.
