Use Secure Passwords Easily with Bitwarden

  • November 03, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Bitwarden allows me to use secure passwords for all my online and local logins. It has Mac, PC, Web and IOS and Android Apps. It supports Secure tokens like Yubikeys as well as time-based tokens like Google or Microsoft Authenticators.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not support Apple's FaceID on my iPhone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My online activities are much more secure since I have different passwords on all my accounts.

One of the best password management tools out there.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We have a large team and Bitwarden allows us to have a convenient place to securely store passwords, notes, and other information that we need to share.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few websites that the Bitwarden browser plugin refuses to recognize once in a while, requiring a physical copy and paste of the password.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consolidating and securely storing our IT team's passwords into a sharable location has dramatically reduced our password management frustrations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Bitwarden has a free tier, so hop on, create an account, and put it through its paces.

Very good password keeping

  • August 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that we can have a shared password in one space; and if it needs to be updated, anyone on the team can update it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It keeps prompting to save passwords for different websites that just have auto-fills.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team uses shared passwords and if someone uses the wrong one, we get kicked out of the site. That doesn't happen anymore at all because we are using a shared vault in Bitwarden
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's convenient and you can use it by right-clicking the box you want to auto-fill!

Bitwarden keeps my digital life organized and secure

  • July 01, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The password generator creates a secure way to make and store all of my important passwords or passphrases. No more remembering or re-using insecure passwords.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to add and store files for safekeeping.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before, I would use variations of a handful of passwords. Not only was this not secure, but it also was difficult to keep track, especially when sites have different requirements for password length, capitals, special characters, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider your secure file storage needs

Bitwarden is a great password manager!

  • June 17, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Bitwarden is completely free! I previously was using LastPass as my password manager. As soon as LastPass limited users to one device unless you pay a monthly subscription, I decided to make the switch over to Bitwarden. I heard positive things about the open-source password manager and wanted to give it a try.

I was easily able to transfer all of my saved passwords from LastPass to Bitwarden. Bitwarden has an iOS app as well so that I can easily sign-in to my iPhone applications. I found that the Bitwarden Mac app runs well too. Using Touch ID on my laptop to quickly login in to my Bitwarden account and view passwords is a plus. The iPhone Application uses FaceID to unlock quickly, which I like.

Having access to my passwords on both my iPhone and laptop without having to pay a cent is a great feeling!
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing I dislike about the Bitwarden Mac app is that the Safari extension does not automatically populate the username and password fields when I visit a site for which I have a saved login. LastPass did this with ease. In the end, it does not take too much time to pull up the Bitwarden app that is running in the background, quickly search for the site I need login information from, and copy the username and password.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Bitwarden, I do not have to worry about remebering different passwords for all my account or using the same password for all my accounts because it is easy to remember. One benefit I have realized is generating a custom string of unique characters for my password which makes my account more secure. I also trust Bitwarden to keep my information secure as they regularly participate in third-party security audits. Bitwarden is also compliant with Privacy Shield, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, and SOC 2 security standards which gives me peace of mind.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Bitwarden is completely free, so try it out and see if it meets your password manager needs.

What do you like best about the product?
A very generous free plan and cheap yearly price to upgrade.
What do you dislike about the product?
Service is absolutely amazing — no complaints at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to create secure passwords and quickly sign into services.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Honestly, Bitwarden is worth considering. If you're using a competitor service, take a look at Bitwarden. Or, if you aren't currently using a password manager, make yourself a free account and start using it!

Bitwarden - Perfect Password Locker at no cost

  • October 06, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
First of all bitwarden is an open source and additionally it has it's security tested. So I fee safe to use it. It provides a great range of facilities for no cost at all.
You can add the information like login, card, identity or secure notes as per your desire.

One thing I adore about bitwarden is that along with username and password you can also save OTP for next use. Moreover you can add more than one website url to initial credential if they share same username and password.

Next is it's notes features, in which you can add a lines of essential information about that certain website or else..
Last hit jot the least, they provide you with the option to change the ownership of that credential, which i really loved. It will come very handy if you use more than one accounts and want to give access to a particular credential to a certain account only.
What do you dislike about the product?
At no cost, I really don't thing they need to provide us any more... This is far I can expect from a free application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bitwarden comes very handy if you are using lots of accounts which most of us use nowadays. It's very hard to memorise each password, mainly the strong passwords with special characters and numbers.
So, bitwarden solves my problem to memorize a number of passwords for different websites.

It also helps me by generating a string password of my desired characters count and adding url with password and username helps me to easily login to the desired website.

Does 1 Important Think Perfectly Store and Retrieve Passwords/Secrets everywhere

  • September 05, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Interface Balance between complexity/simplicity is good.

So much better than LastPass the one I was using before Bitwarden.

Passes the non-technical user test I have migrated colleagues and staff over to this and they don't find it difficult to use.

the command line version is well behaved and usable for basic scripted workflows.

Choice of an Electron-based app means it behaves on Windows, Mac, Linux equally well.

The iOS App is well behaved and well integrated.

Chrome browser extension is well behaved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I can't really nominate much worth disliking. The syncing is not quite instantaneous every time but it's almost always up to date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have too many passwords most people in IT do, now I don't notice as much.

Very few account lockouts or resets needed now, also better password hygiene is in place.

Getting contacted less for I have lost my password, what's the password.
