Great password manager

What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can use it across different platforms: iphones, androids, macbooks etc. and that there are different ways to use Bitwarden. You can download the extension to use it in Google Chrome, download the app to use it on iOS or just use it straight from your web browser. The shortcuts make it very simple and efficient to use. I like how you can create different folders to organize your passwords. When I had an issue with my account, I contacted customer support and they assisted me promptly and addressed my concern.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I dislike about Bitwarden to be honest. I decided to choose Bitwarden based off the great reviews and it did not disappoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating strong passwords and storing them so that you don't have to remember each and every password that you have.

Very secure password manager free to use, UI quirks makes it difficult to use at times.

What do you like best about the product?
I discovered Bitwarden after the LastPass debacle. In a review on "Security Now" Steve Gibson reviewed and recommended Bitwarden. I'm very impressed by Bitwarden's security process while it offers cloud storage to allow one to use it across desktops and mobile devices. On the desktop, it has both a stand-alone app, which is the easiest to use component on the desktop. It also has integration with Chrome and Firefox browsers. It promises to be able to log you in the many different website processes by giving the user a number of options to insert the username and password. If you want to pay for the subscription, it offers the very nice option of an integrated 2fa verification system. I have had questions and they were quickly answered. I use it multiple times a day. One can create various "vaults" which can be shared among various users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bitwarden fails to make it easy to create new logins as its browser addins insist upon closing every time you navigate away from it to put in either a username or a password into the target website. It's very annoying as I know better than to trust it to "read" the username and password into new website accurately (often confusing if the username is your email or some random name) Whatever the workflow is that may allow one to easily go to a new website and have Bitwarden easily enter that new username and password without somehow losing it is poorly documented and escapes me. Just leave the window open while I create a new account so I can copy / paste the information back and forth!

ONCE the account is entered, the process of logging is almost always easy, except for websites that insist upon splitting up their username input and their password inputs onto separate webpages.

The management of vaults is also cumbersome. If one is working in a team and wants to share logins with team members, one must make duplicates of those logins for those separate vaults, rather than allow a user to share logins into other vaults then manage and update them at one place.

While they do answer questions, it would be best if the documentation explained more and was updated as features are added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are two main options when one manages the security of their website and other passwords. You either use a password manager such as Google or Facebook, or you use a 3rd party program. I would ordinarily resist the tempation of using a password manager that stores its information in the cloud. I was using eWallet for my purposes but it's cumbersome to update between devices. Using the clould, I feel better using a 3rd party app whose full time purpose is to manage their security and not keeping track of my every move.

The King of Password Managers

What do you like best about the product?
As a Managed Service Provider we work with small businesses across a variety of industires who are often using a password manager. LastPass, 1Password, & Roboform are all common choices amoung our clients, but we push them over to Bitwarden.

Every client appreciates the move and talks about how much more they like Bitwarden from the alternativates. Out users range from hyper proficient technical users, to 80-year old retirees and Bitwarden works for both of them which can't be said about a lot of password managers.

We've been using Bitwarden internally for the last 4 years, and had a brief stint with Keeper before moving back to Bitwarden.

Bitwarden is easier to setup, easier to administer, and is simpler overall. Also, not having to enter in your master password every time you want to unlock your vault is essential. With Keeper we had users saving their master password to a notepad file on their computer so they didn't have to type it in multiple times a day. This isn't an issue with Bitwarden once we set them up with biometric or pin unlock.

We use Bitwarden internally on a daily basis and it saves us so much time. The keyboard shortcut to autofill passwords is a favorite of our team. Alternatively, the password auto-fill menu popups works wonderfully for less technically savvy users.

I would not hesitate to recommend Bitwarden to anyone wether they be a small business, MSP, or someone looking to manage their personal passwords at home. We are extremely happy using Bitwarden and are thrilled to be working with them.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have a consolidated billing model for the Managed Service Provider plan. Though I haven't asked about it yet so it may already be an option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1] Reduces password resets because users have easy access to all their passwords.
2] Saves time - The password autofill and secure vault saves so much time looking up and entering in passwords.
3] Password resets and security - Bitwarden makes it extremely simple to create secure password and reset account passwords when necessary.
4] Passsword sharing - Efficiently share and secure shared accounts with teams as needed.

What do you like best about the product?
Bitwarden provides me with secure password storage and once I got the integrations set up, I could log into various websites with ease. Love the annual price for premium membership.

Bitwarden Review

  • February 20, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Being opensource, it's incredibly secure and helpful to generate specific types of passwords. And I have the choice to save not only login information but secure notes as well. I use it at least 5 times a day, both laptop, and mobile.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't intergrated well with safari as a browser extension so I'm unable to unlock with my fingerprint. However the act of typing out my very very long password is helpful with memorisation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me save all the secure password information I need accross the many platforms I use (including Linkedin and G2).
