Good, but not Great!

  • November 21, 2018

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that it is easy to use and helps me with my day-to-day tasks. It is also great t automating emails, which is ideal for someone in an SDR position. I also like how easy it is to click and call someone. This just makes everything easier and faster. I also like that adding links and attachments are extremely easy. I never experience any problems with the formats of my emails, which I know is a problem for other softwares.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that when you click on the email in your own inbox then it shows up as if the prospect clicked it, so it is very misleading. I would really hope this gets fix, so I can have more accurate information. I also don't like that the Google extension sometimes doesn't work and often times needs to be updated. This can cause a 10-20 min delay to my workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to work faster, while creating more custom emails. This is time effective and helps me get my emailing for the day done before noon (how amazing!). This gives me more time for prospecting and calling. Workflow is also a huge problem that most sales people struggle with; however, I think this product helps with solving that issue. It is very easy to follow a workflow when using this product.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend that they use this product on top of something like Yesware to insure the most correct information. I would also recommend that they connect it to their Salesforce . This makes it easier to input contacts. Lastly, I recommend not sending a ton of emails at once because then that leads to a delay in emails being sent out.

What do you like best about the product?
Merge and field mapping is simple to use, cadences are super handy and great to work off one network with multiple users to track as a company
What do you dislike about the product?
You can’t upload more than 1,000 contacts at once and also limited to 1,000 emails per day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of sales outreach made so much simpler once you have cadences set up

Like all software, sometimes there are glitches or bugs that need to be worked out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an employee that switched departments, I enjoy being able to use the same system across departments for completely different functions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

SalesLoft Review

  • November 21, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use! By this I mean that I can reach out to 3-4 times as many people in a day rather than dialing directly out of SalesForce.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that if an email is "undeliverable" it removes the contact from a cadence. Even if I know the phone # is accurate, an email could still be incorrect and now I do not have that contact in a cadnce
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving coverage of my territory. With SalesLoft I am able to better cover my book-of-business and track emails more easily.

Cold outreach tracking

Useful tool

What do you like best about the product?
i like being able to easily take notes on my calls so i can see what ive done with my contacts. Its like taking notes on a contact and its all right there call by call and email by email.
What do you dislike about the product?
wish there was a way to view all contacts at once. Also, i have a hard time actually following my cadences, wish there was a button like "skip to...." that could skip a person to different steps or cadences based on if we had a certian type of conversation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
well. I guess we are solving the problem of not knowing what we have done for certian people. You know it would actually be really cool if there was a sales loft cadence where it was like "needs love" or something and it was a call cadence for people in your cadences that havent been called sorted from least to most activity. Also its just a great tool to stay organized is what it is.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
im not sure what the alternative would be. I know another team uses a competitor and hates it.

Great tool to keep organized and on track.

What do you like best about the product?
SalesLoft is a great tool to keep organized. I know I'm not missing any steps in my outreach when I'm leveraging SalesLoft to it's fullest potential.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how long it takes to add people to a cadence. It would be great to have the ability to load a list of prospects all together, instead of having to do it individually. I also dislike how when I use the copy and paste function - it changes the formatting of the email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits: ability to see all history in one glance, Follow-ups are happening, and I like the LinkedIn navigator integration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend this tool because of its ease of use and how it keeps reps on track with prospecting goals. If you have reps that are contstantly forgetting to follow up with qualified leads, then this tool will help. You can set reminders up so you don't forget tasks - and the steps in cadences will ensure that your reps are not letting any calls or emails go un-done. It has been very valuable for me personally. Also - the email open notifications have helped me see what prospects are more engaged compared to those that aren't.

It's good - here are a few things that could make it better

What do you like best about the product?
It is overall good. Rank by timezone is the most important feature in all honesty.
What do you dislike about the product?
Big product errors:
- I get that automating cadences is supposed to make us more efficient and more organized, however, you are lacking some features that makes users feel like they have no control <- big issue

Here are some features that could help users feel like they have more control:
1) Sometimes there are times when you just want to get more calls in (and not follow your cadence because the people you should be dialing extra are lost among-st the different steps) - I would definitely use a feature/view/mode where you can see all the people in your cadence (ranked by timezone and account) that you can use to just get a quick extra call blitz in to whoever you want.
2) Instead of the Star feature to distinguish between a high priority lead and a non priority lead, consider a ranking system 1-10 (with a slider that we can use to set the rank) -- then have a separate view that you can rank by priority so that for times when you just wanted to double check that your highest priority leads are being properly touched/followed up with/nurtured
3) Why do you have to click into a specific step when you open up the "Run a Cadence" why can't you just group all the steps into two types: Calls or Emails. That way you can make all of your calls in a cadence (with the ability to rank by timezone) without having to jump between different steps looking for people in the appropriate timezone to call and skipping the ones in the wrong timezone that you shouldn't be calling (like when people during lunch times or people whose local time is before 9 or after 5)
Note: If you did that^ you could also have another filter after they are filtered by timezone and account for priority or by least amount of calls so you could start calling newer people first.

Small product errors:
- Plain text mode effecting the signature.... why?
- I also don't like how much the dialer key pad takes up so much room on the screen and covers up the Run a Cadence window when it is expanded

Other advice:
- Don't make updates for the sake of making updates that compromise usability
EX] Salesforce Lightning - they made dumb changes to the interface that made the CRM harder to navigate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1) Organization of leads 2) efficiency/productivity
Recommendations to others considering the product:
none

Streamlined as a Service

  • November 21, 2018

What do you like best about the product?
Being part of a global sales team (and analytics SaaS solution) having insights into outbound activity across multiple regions and the ability to measure success has been valuable. Understanding which content has received high levels of engagement, the ability to easily collaborate with Marketing on vertical/event specific activity has also made us more agile in the execution of content driven campaigns. For our PSMs, being part of a large partner network comprised of 50% of the worlds biggest service providers - having a broad and consistent touchpoint with regional directors, SEs, partner peers and AMs has been a constant challenge with our resources. SL has helped streamline communications for the channel team and driven higher engagement with some of our key partners. Purple is heavily reliant on our channel business, SL has also driven a new sense of sales discipline - with each rep tasked with generating 10% of new pipeline ARR through outbound activity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the complaints have been around the strategy behind the use of SL, not necessarily the product itself. This has been a learning curve for our organization and we are still in the process of refining how our enterprise SL experience differs / can work with SDR activity to provide the most value. We are still early in the process of optimizing our use of the platform and our strategy continues to evolve!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To date our business is heavily focused on pipeline generation through our global partner channel which accounts for 74% of ARR in the past 18 months. Salesloft is part of a broader strategy to increase 'outbound' sales ARR growth to a relative 1:3 ROI. For our partner channel, they are leveraging communications to drive higher engagement and meet monthly KPIs on setting FCMs with key target accounts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that there is comprehensive strategy prior to launching SL. Carefully consider how the platform will specifically impact the different roles and teams within your organisation. If you're deploying this purely for SDRs there is a quicker GTM process around optimizing cadences/content, however I would encourage prospective users to identify areas within their business where SL can make a positive impact - Purple has looked to our Partner, Marketing, Sales and Strategic Alliance teams to streamline global engagement and communications.
