Easy to use UI. Simple, neat, and effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
No flexible options to fill the variables in the workflows. List, Mapping would be helpful.

Accelerating CI/CD

  • September 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity of the platform and how everything is broken down into small managable parts.

The application gives you the ability to rapidly define reusable templates that can then be leveraged across the board. This allows you to create consistency and assurance in your CI/CD process.

There are a number of features like dashboards, feature toggles and continuous verification that are invaluable.

The implementation of Harness within our business has had a massive impact and enables us to deliver at a rapid pace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much I dislike. They key one would be that the website performance can sometimes be a little slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for the majority of our CI/CD process now over a number of applications and modules.

We can quickly spin up new applications with appropriate services, environments, workflows and pipelines. That can then be used to rapidly deliver. This ensures our customers get changes as quick as possible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a fantastic product with a fantastic team. They take on suggestions and work with you to get best value out of the product.

Hassle free cost optimization for Azure and AWS

  • September 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use AWS and Azure at work and Lightwing Autostopping has significantly optimized our infrastructure usage and reduced our costs in non prod environments. It was easy to integrate and works well for AWS and Azure. Highly recommend for teams that monitor and want to reign in the expenses of their cloud infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Lightwing provides detailed reports on the savings data, it would be nice to have a downloadable report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly reduce cost and expenses incurred by our services deployed on AWS/Azure. Gave us great visibility into costs and optimisations that proved beneficial for us

I stopped paying for idle compute resources with Autostopping

  • August 30, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I had a large non-prod spend on AWS. Most of the resources were idle and underutilized. Because of the geographically distributed nature of the people, I was unable to use any static schedulers. Lightwing Autostopping was easy to install and works beautifully. The ability to start instances based on the network traffic was a huge benefit for me . I got more than 70% of savings. I also started using spot instances with autostopping which increased the savings further.
What do you dislike about the product?
More downloadable reports would be nice to get deeper insights other than the ones available in the Lightwing Console.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use autostopping feature to maximize my cloud savings.

Best Cl tool for open source small projects

  • August 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to connect to Github as well as multiple other tools as an Application. Multiple different coding languages, is good at managing, collaborating and summarizing.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't really anything i dislike. The documentation isn't necessarily very clear and we may run into issues as our project becomes more complex and large.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for continuous automation and monitoring throughout the development testing and production stages or our applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think you need to look into implementation depending on project size, this suits smaller projects.

Love the innovative idea and continued innovation behind Harness

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Harness can be integrated with a ton of tools out there.. really appreciate bi-directional git sync feature..
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few security concerns which I have noticed over the last year, more focus on making token/password and other secrets secure would be great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of CD problems with integration to CI tool.. I have been appreciative of Harness new features and how it is growing..
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try, you wont hate it for sure.. Harness is on its track for sure!

Harness is amazing platform for automated continuous delivery.

  • April 16, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Numerous integration connectors for deployment of all different styles. Amazing support and account rep team that are quick to response.
What do you dislike about the product?
Numerous documentation nuances and sometimes missing documentation over basic usage and integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to improve our deployment process by introducing more advance forms of deployment techniques such as Canary and Blue/Green deployments. We have realized in part of the deployment, there are numerous verification integrations in between the steps of when a deploy goes out and when it finishes that will dramatically increase the success of a deployment. Also control and automation integrations with third party tools and services that we already use will be combined together with Harness as the orchestration tool for our deployment workflows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Properly perform a PoC in order to gauge the different integration components with your current deployment workflow over moving to Harness. In some cases, this will be a paradigm shift for your deployment.

Beautiful, easy to use CI - built on a great language

  • November 10, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of Drone is brilliant. The setup is seamless, and the test running is brilliant.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it can be difficult to get repos setup with drone (with the secrets, encryption etc). But it's worth it in the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our CI was slow and broke a lot. We wanted customization without paying a premium. Drone's plugins and open API gave us everything we could of dreamed of.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Running Drone in a container on a beefy host and reverse proxying works great. If you want to add some distributed computing power, you can easily add Docker hosts form other machines as nodes.
