Linux based open source virtualization solution
What do you like best about the product?
KVM is the best open source virtualization solution offering in the market. We implemented KVM for our client which saved lots of licensing costs and increased the overall ROI. KVM has all the essential features which a enterprise server needs such as CPU and PCI hot plug support, VM migration support, CPU clustering and device management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not support windows based distributions. It also has a bigger learning curve. Host server needs to be powerful enough to host large number of virtual machines. The setup is centralized so risk of data loss
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
KVM is open source and does not involve licensing costs hence we are able to save some costs. It is good for small scale enterprise as there is good community support and can troubleshoot any issues if they arrise. It's helping us setup multiple virtual machines and allowing us adding hardware to the host server an easy task.

What do you like best about the product?
In our service, Red Hat enterprise, customer service is great. The service is best if compared to SUSE Linux. Rhel handled the repo well.

What do you dislike about the product?
If I compare to other distros that are similar and give complete service, free distros with the same service, but in our organization, we need software support from the backend. That is why we are using paid Linux distros
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have no problem with RHEL. The company is doing great for the open source community to build better security and support.

Flexibility, command line interface, no major virus threat and secure OS

Its configuration part and its installation using kick start. It's interface shoud be more detailed and in layman language so that no professional person can also easily install it

Its operating system, low cost and easy maintenance. It's open forum and source codes help a lot to fixits problem

The support is great, and there is a vast knowledge base to support most of the issues you will encounter

Some drivers wont work and you will need to invest many hours to install, check and reinstall if you are using non brand vendor or laptop

Ability to deploy enterprise grade OS on employees laptops while reducing costs vs. other market vendors

This work environment is the most friendly, comfortable, user-friendly work environment.
Its reliability and ability to fix bugs and security are soo good.

There is nothing to dislike, but I suggest we can work a little on using Grafix.

I got my system corrupted, and I erased the windows os and installed it.
So now my system is running like a bike.

What do you like best about the product?
The friendly interface and easy of handling files is the best thing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The os booting process everytime took some time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are just using Rhel as a os for hosting web servers in cloud and it's been so compatible so far.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux is an excellent Operating System compatible with various App Tech Stack

RHEL can be configured to operate with Java, .NET Platforms seamlessly better than other Flavours like Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu

RHEL has too many CLI Commands which need to be memorized to operate it

While working with C and C++ Embedded Enterprise Development RHEL works in an excellent manner better than Windows leading to greater productivity

Overall experience is great, its pretty easy to install plugins/packages/applications and also the support is brilliant

The downsides on using RHEL is that the prices is so high, pricing is based on total cores

It is linux based which is the best part cause it adds stability and the community is great and helpful.

Some of the services are not easy to comprehend in one go so maybe better release notes and tutorials
