Well thought out solution

What do you like best about the product?
From my experience, the AbsorbLMS platform is very well thought out as a learning platform. Going into my engagement with them, I had experience using a LMS, but not running one. The team at Absorb provided a very structured approach to onboarding, walking through training on the platform, working with me on my use cases, and helping me figure out how best to configure the platform to meet my needs. We had to work through some challenges, but what I really love about the platform is that there was always a way to get done what I needed to get done. It may not have been as I had originally envisioned it, but in the end, the overall results met my expectations. They were always available when I had a question and even if I totally went off the rails during the training, they were happy to help while still keeping me focused. Overall, a great experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is solid. The only issue I ran into that did not really impact my deployment was the mobile app. That needs some work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started a business providing cybersecurity training to small businesses. I needed a platform to deliver the training and provide a "storefront" to sell it. I also needed something low cost as my goal was to provide this training affordably, so operational overhead to me was important. Absorb met all these requirements and then some. The platform is feature rich, the cost is manageable and I am able to sell my products through their E-Commerce from end without having to invest in a separate storefront solution.

What do you like best about the product?
Getting started with Absorb was a breeze. Their implementation team was amazingly supportive, patient and responsive. We are using Absorb to roll out a City-wide initiative and are using the platform almost every day. It is straightforward to implement and frankly, all of the features have been a dream to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a couple very minor options that don't exist yet on the platform, but there is the option to put ideas through to the development team, so I imagine any missing ideas will come through soon!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are rolling out a course to support 2SLGBTQIA inclusion in various sectors in our city. It is paramount that this learning gets out to those that need it, and we are a small organization with only so many facilitators available. Using Absorb means that we can train more learners and support the shift to inclusive spaces on a large scale!

Key features we could really use that would make our experience much better: ability to see Outlook calendar tracking status (accepted/declined), select specific dates for reocurring ILC that do not happen in set pattern

What do you like best about the product?
The robust reporting was a main draw when switching over to Absorb from our old system. The ease of using it from a learner perspective and an admin perspective. The support our team has received throughout the whole process of implementation and now has been top-notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations with tracking calendar invites which have been frustrating, but most problems have a work-around solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is saving us a lot of time with the reporting features so we can quickly track progress of employees. We love that managers are also allowed to track progress (instead of having to reach out to our L&D team for a report). It is easy to use and understand for our employees, many of whom are not "tech saavy."

What do you like best about the product?
For me as an administrator, I find the admin interface not only powerful, but very intuitive. Addtionally I consistently hear from the end users how easy it is to navigate. I consider myself a "needy" customer. Absorb is always very responsive to my requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
My dislikes, very honestly, are minor and trivial. I wish the certificate creation tool was a little easier to use and I wish there was a way to set an access period for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Absorb is solving a reporting gap we had with our previous vendor. Absorb is also a little more cost effective.

What do you like best about the product?
As an experienced LMS, and has been in the industry for more than 10 years, I have seen how different LMSs have evolved. I have seen Absorb LMS shaping from the old UI to the new UI they launched. It has a user-friendly interface, is mobile-compatible, and is scalable to handle a large number of users and diverse content. While integration is a crucial feature of LMS, working with the Absorb team was hassle-free. My organization uses Absorb LMS, which is hosted on an AWS server, so implementation was done very quickly. Also, due to cloud-hosted architecture, it is secure as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like other LMSs, Absorb LMS also has some downsides. In the current version of Absorb, the Learner experience needs to be better. The course content page needs more intuitiveness, and users get frustrated when moving to the next learning object. Another downside is lost control over file organization due to their new file manager interface. The earlier file manager was way better and was able to organize files like cPanel, but that's now gone.

Bridge learning gaps, provide free education, and educate learners.

What do you like best about the product?
Our organization needed an easy to use, user friendly and low maintenance LMS. Absorb delivers. As a financial institution, providing clear and acurate reporting to auditors is a must. We are able to provide custom reports to stakeholders within the organization and to auditors with a click of a button. Integrating content from vendors or created content is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The look isn't as elegant as some other Learning Systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Absorb helps our organization engage learners to complete compliance training. Absorb provides better reporting to help us satisfy compliance training. Absorb reduces turnover by engaging learners to look at training options.

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the speedy responses from emailing the help desk or customer support. The answers are always extremely helpful and instructions are easy to follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything. We've been very happy with Absorb!

We host a few courses and resources for teachers. We are benefitting by getting information out to more people than we could otherwise.
