    Public Relations and Communications

Just a fantastic LMS and company

What do you like best about the product?
When I first started sourcing LMS's, I asked Absorb why they didn't have performance or succession modules. Their reply was 'no one's built the perfect learning platform yet, so we're going to keep working on that.' I loved that response.

Out of the box, it does exactly what an admin needs it to do. It's easy to run reports on your own data an users, and you can host any kind of content. Simple to train other admins, and my entire end-user onboarding tutorial was under a minute long.

They make monthly updates and let you know ahead of time what's coming, and detail what they did. Your absorb platform literally gets better every month.

The help desk team is very friendly and based in Canada, and they respond to and fix issues really quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had a few requests for 'custom pages' that would be nice to see added to the system. Like, a homepage to market specific programs. We've found workarounds, but a native solution would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobility and content management. It's really easy to see what's in your system, and the HTML5 comparability makes mobile access really user friendly.

Changing the education landscape

What do you like best about the product?
This platform takes the CAR's CPD offerings to the next level and improves the overall learning experience for our members and the radiology community at large. While attending my own professional development (or even in my daily encounters), I'm constantly boasting the features of our LMS and the excellent support I receive from the Absorb team, namely Stepanie Berry. She is super responsive and always willing to help find solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
While most of the dashboard can be customized for the user (learner), I would like to see expanded features which allow for the customization of the admin dashboard, to display data andcustomized key reporting highlights. More information should be readily available for admins, rather than having to constantly create "reports".

Also, the ability to assess the features/contenetn access under the "Engage" tab; it's a missed opportunity as well as a misnomer to call the features listed under "Engage" and not have the ability to actually evaluate ot track user engagement. For example, how many learners clicked or "engagaed" with the News posts, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The CAR's LMS, RAD Academy, is an essential tool in ensuring that we meet the educational needs of our members as well as other practicing radiologists across the country. It has strengthened the development and assessment of our educational offerings and provides the CAR's education department with improved ways to deliver content, monitor physician participation and assess their performance, competencies and skills.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that I can fully manage my system without needing IT’s intervention or Absorb support.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the reporting was a little more robust but otherwise I am very satisfied.

What do you like best about the product?
A clean interface gives easy access to a quality set of features for both learners and admins. Customer support has been excellent.

There isn't anything to dislike about Absorb.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We deliver self-paced training to external customers. Absorb makes it easy for learners to access their training content and for our team to track learner progress and interact with learners.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you understand what you want to achieve with your LMS. Keep in mind that a clean interface will make learners, course developers, and admins very happy.

Very little, the mercury module really meets our needs

The ability to scale our education department without huge payroll expense.

What do you like best about the product?
Absorb is constantly evolving their software and rolling out new features and functionality. They are an up and coming disruptor in the LMS community by leveraging the ease of use of creating new courses, lessons and curriculum for learners. Their support team is very knowledgeable and are quick to identify solutions and causes of the any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
More robust APIs with additional POST actions. Also, the ability to modify more of the system. I know Font changes are in the works but if the system could support more custom branding through the system especially in terms of the containerization options which are available in the New Learner Experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Partner and Client technical training, sales enablement, HR/Compliance for internal team members. Absorb administration makes it easy to create content quickly and get it in the hands of those that need the learning. We are actually using the Infuse API to create a custom User experience layer on top of the administration of Absorb. This will allow us to push custom challenges to users based on their profile, persona, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Absorb is easy to use and has a lot of the features you would need in an LMS. They are constantly evolving to meet the growing needs of the community and are willing to help and support you in creating creative solutions to meet your needs.

Easy to launch, easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
We use Absorb to deliver trainings to a variety of clients, both internationally and domestically. I love how easy it is to create custom branding for each client. Launching courses is pretty quick and easy as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Built in assessments are pretty limited. Reporting set up can be cumbersome, but once set up, it's easy to have them go out automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Absorb has allowed us to transform our in-person trainings to on-demand and reach a larger audience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure the reporting and built in assessments meet your needs. Also, they recently launched an app, but in the initial deployment, it seems very limited and does not fully meet our needs. This would be a significant improvement for our users.

What do you like best about the product?
The automation of training has been the most helpful in allowing us to get 100% of annual training completed. In years past we have only been able to complete 60% of training.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much I dislike. The support site is great for finding answers on how to do just about anything with the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking and completion of training has been the largest benefit to our organization. We are able to complete 100% of training by July instead of having only 60% of training completed at the end of the year.

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part about Absorb LMS is how easily customizable it is to our specific needs. I also like how easy it is to set up meetings with our representative at Absorb to answer my questions. Finally, I like the tracking offered as to the progress of my users- I need to be able to see how far everyone is with their learning.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the reporting system- I wish theywere more highly customizable and more user friendly. I wish there was a little more tracking information for courses. For example, I wish I could see what sqecific questions my users answer correctly or incorrectly on quizzes so I can see where people are struggling specifically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The LMS has really helped with scaling our training programs. Everyone throughout different geographical regions of the company can be learning the same material at the same time without having to fly our trainers out to present conceptual material.

What do you like best about the product?
Powerful under the hood but also intuitive interface. Developer has a "we can do that" attitude toward solving new use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Captions don't come over well with HTML5 export (at least when we try with our LMS).
Does not have native integrations with Hubspot, which is key to our workflows (e.g. add person to Hubspot when they sign in to course).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We add interactivity into video-based learning and export HTML5 onto another LMS. Koantic has allowed us to exactly that. The breadth of options inspired us to do even more than we originally thought.
