Skuid's direct data connection and powerful UI make it stand apart from other low-code options

  • November 07, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Most low-code approaches use their own data source or sync with your current data source, leading to performance issues you can't control. Skuid's direct data source connection allows you to add custom indexes and optimize your queries while eliminating the lag of sync platforms. The UI toolset also stands apart, allowing a rich, custom UI with powerful data automations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Skuid has been Salesforce-centric for over 10 years. While Salesforce can be amazing, it is not the right data source solution for everyone. Skuid's growth outside of Salesforce is crucial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skuid NLX can run on Postgresql, allowing my clients to have a powerful, custom, optimized database where they own their data, while utilizing an incredible low-code UI toolset. This combination has proven to be a small fraction of the price clients currently pay for Salesforce.

Fantastic UX toolkit for customizing Salesforce

  • October 20, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Skuid is very flexible, allowing you to get the exact user experience you need without having to write a lot of code. This makes it incredibly easy to maintain and very quick to build on. We often jump right into prototyping within Skuid instead of mocking up wire frames as it is so quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
Skuid has made a lot of improvements with their V2 platform increasing stability. However, this did come at the sacrifice of complete customization and extending with code. Over the past year, Skuid has made updates to bring back full extensibility back to V2. Its not quite an open canvas, but getting better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Salesforce has a defined UX that does not work for all customers. Skuid allows you to extend that to give your users the experience they need. This brings consumer grade applications closer to enterprise software. Users are more efficient and systems are designed better. The main benefit is the speed to which you can get there with Skuid vs code.

Great Product For Customizeability

  • June 04, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The amount of customization that is added to Salesforce when using Skuid.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a dislike, but be sure you have change management processes in place. Skuid can become large due to the amount of functionality it adds to your environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There used to be issues with feature upgrades introducing some show stopping bugs, but this seems to have gotten better with the release cycle.

Amazing tool for extending salesforce platform

  • October 07, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn, excellent documentation and allows one to bypass salesforce customization limits. Drag and drop editor is very robust. Page includes and page assignments allows you to build your own "components" that you can use throughout many pages and interfaces and bonus: easy to maintain
What do you dislike about the product?
Feedback feature does not natively integrate with anything and is somewhat confusing to use. We ended up just creating a process to email the feedback details to an external system for tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
System functionality that has allowed us to build modules for productivity

Agile tool for an Agile environment

  • June 26, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce is a database centric view, going to a user centered view requires a lot of custom code to load all the different data tables... unless you're using Skuid! Fast development of user centered apps and even faster incorporation of feedback. Sprints with Skuid tasks actually deliver functionality in a single sprint.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a page becomes complicated, it can be hard to find dependencies. Such as, what are all the conditional renders on field x? It is a lot of searching xml, especially when things are buried in pop-ups or wizards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Guided experiences and actionable reports are the two most common patterns for us.

  • May 13, 2018

What do you like best about the product?
Skuid is truly a platform to build quickly and keep costs down. We're able to iterate during the development process and react to changes as they come up.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are very few challenges we come across.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to utilize Skuid for custom app development for so many different use-cases.

Skuid helps me say yes to enhanced automation requests

  • May 09, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can fully customize a list view and page layout, making them super functional. The ability to control rendering at the field or table or button level are super empowering. Using the "actions framework" I can make just about anything happen without code (and without consuming Salesforce workflow or flow). The best part is I can do so much on a single screen so the user does not have to navigate multiple objects or workflow screens in order to accomplish a complex task. With drawers and pop-up windows I can keep the user where they need to be, and only redirect when necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you make a mistake, Skuid may not tell you. There are some instances where you can create something with a defect and it can be difficult to identify where you went wrong. The best practice is to continuously save and test while developing to ensure each feature you add is working and doesn't result in a no error failure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am making cleaner list views and page layouts. I can deploy fewer of these to my business, but each has more functionality. I can build short cuts that reduce clicks and save staff time. I have greatly simplified the user experience, hiding the complexity of our Salesforce org behind simple and easy to use list views and detail layouts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get help or training with your initial set up. Mine took a bit long because I did not have training or professional services assist with my deployment. However, the user community is very strong, and there are plenty of resources available. Please note, many of the older posts refer to using Java Script to accomplish complex tasks, but I have found the Actions Framework allows you to avoid Java Script in almost every case.

My favorite vendor

  • May 03, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Attention to detail, whether it's their developers thinking through all of the different ways that the product can be used and not forgetting the little details that differentiate between a great and superior app or their support staff doing the extra research to provide a comprehensive response/ solution to questions or issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a company that is now calling itself a platform, a clear roadmap and dedicated way for customers to provide suggestions for upcoming features is lacking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to find a better way to display Salesforce data. The Lightning interface, though years in the making, is still lacking in key features such as the ability to display data from multiple objects on a single page, and is also too sales-oriented for a non-profit like ours to take advantage of the improved UI. We needed a solution where we could build applications on the Salesforce platform for internal and external users on the that could be developed and maintained in-house, without dedicating months of developer time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One of the best vendors I have worked with, and I've been both customer and consultant in IT for 17 years.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Awesome customer service, high quality product

  • May 01, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Skuid's response rate to my support needs - makes me feel valued as a customer. Their Essential Support service provides high-quality support!
What do you dislike about the product?
I really have nothing to dislike - my experience has been positive and I recommend this product!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skuid on salesforce gives our organization's partners an easy to use UI to upload data on the training they complete and targets achieved. Beyond using it to monitor and track partner activities, our organization also uses it for quality control and accounting purposes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider certification in salesforce, recommend Skuid 101 course

SKUID vs SFDC

  • April 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Multi-edit function as well as creating and building reports/DBs.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit cumbersome at times. Transition from SFDC to SKUID hasn't been the easiest. Several reports are missing data and don't seem to be pulling in all metrics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multi-edit function.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take your time. Use training manuals but work hands on.
