Best UI for a "Low code - No code" integration tool
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Workato is its powerful automation capabilities combined with an intuitive, low-code, no-code interface. It allows both technical and non-technical users to integrate apps and automate workflows quickly. The vast library of pre-built connectors and community recipes speeds up implementation. I also appreciate its scalability and enterprise-grade features like error handling and version control. Overall, it boosts productivity and reduces manual work significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
For Workato Embedded infrastructure it is hard to roll out updates on certain integrations for all Client Profiles at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an embedded customer, Workato helps us seamlessly integrate automation into our own product, delivering more value to our end users. It solves the challenge of building and maintaining custom integrations by providing a flexible, scalable platform we can embed directly. This reduces development time and allows us to focus on core product features. It also enhances our offering with powerful automation capabilities out of the box. Ultimately, it improves customer satisfaction and speeds up our go-to-market.
Workato - A clever tool that you need to automate tasks across your business.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Workato is its unparalleled ability to simplify and minimize tasks through automation, fundamentally transforming business processes. Its integration capabilities are truly exceptional, seamlessly connecting with platforms like Slack, Salesforce, spreadsheets, and various APIs. This extensive connectivity is simply "out of this world."
What truly struck me, especially during my journey through the free Workato Academy (which offers not just invaluable knowledge but also certifications that validate your expertise), was the sheer number of use cases I discovered. These insights made it clear how Workato could reduce workloads by more than 80%. I found myself constantly brainstorming and creating projects that leveraged Workato, witnessing firsthand how it streamlines complex business operations, making them both simple and remarkably effective.
The ease of implementation was another significant advantage; what could have taken weeks was up and running in a matter of days. Furthermore, the frequency of use has been incredibly high, often without me even needing to open the Workato application directly. Its automatic handling of requests ensures that critical processes are continuously managed in the background. Honestly, without Workato, I can't imagine the extensive efforts and resources we would otherwise need to achieve similar results.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Workato provides excellent free subscriptions for learners, my main concern is its complex pricing structure. If automated workflows (recipes) aren't meticulously optimized, costs can quickly become very high. This is because pricing often scales with usage, meaning inefficient recipe design can lead to unexpected and significant expenditures. This complexity demands a proactive approach to recipe design and continuous usage monitoring. Without a clear understanding of how each automated action impacts the bill, businesses might find the financial benefits of automation overshadowed by unforeseen costs.
Additionally, while customer support is generally responsive, I've found that the resolution isn't always satisfactory. For instance, when I encountered an issue where Workato was tampering with files during uploads to Salesforce, the support team requested a live demonstration at their convenience. This was challenging and ineffective for me, as I was reluctant to disclose sensitive information in that manner. A more desirable approach would have been for them to provide standard troubleshooting steps or a solution with clear instructions, rather than requiring a live session that presented privacy concerns.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workato excels at solving the challenge of complex and time-consuming data integration and automation, particularly for non-technical users. For instance, I was developing a project that needed to fetch data from a spreadsheet, process it, and then push it to Salesforce. Traditionally, this would involve direct integrations, extensive coding, and custom flows – a highly time-consuming process. Any future edits would have been a nightmare for the non-IT users this project aimed to serve. This is where Workato became a game-changer. With Workato, I could easily connect the spreadsheet and Salesforce using simple click actions. The drag-and-drop interface within the recipe builder allowed me to achieve the entire requirement without writing a single line of code. Updates or modifications also became a matter of a few clicks, and the easy monitoring features were incredibly helpful. Beyond the initial scope, I was also able to extend functionality by integrating with platforms like Slack and DocParser, adding valuable capabilities that were not even part of the original click-based requirements but proved immensely beneficial.
Seamless and empowering, enabling efficient, flexible automation across our systems.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Workato is its endless possibilities and flexibility. It empowers us to automate complex workflows across multiple systems with minimal coding, while still allowing deep customization when needed. The platform adapts to virtually any use case, making it a powerful tool for both simple integrations and enterprise-level automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there’s nothing I dislike about Workato. It’s intuitive, powerful, and consistently meets our integration needs without major limitations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workato is solving the problem of repetitive manual tasks by automating workflows across our tools and systems. This saves significant time, reduces human error, and allows our team to focus on higher-value work instead of routine data entry or process management.
Great customer support for developing recipes
What do you like best about the product?
Customer service agents are prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. They have a lot of inbuilt connectors.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are on expensive side. There are other competitors which cost much less than Workato.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps transforming data and pushing it from one system to another.
Seamless Integrations Powered by AI and Intelligent Automation
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is incredibly intuitive, making it easy to build and manage automations without heavy engineering effort. Workato’s extensive support for connectors, APIs, and IDP enables seamless integration across systems, while its growing AI capabilities and data services (including ETL and reverse ETL) make it a versatile tool for both operational and analytical workflows.
The responsiveness of the product team and customer support is exceptional—they’re quick to assist and consistently roll out thoughtful improvements based on user feedback. I also appreciate the focus on human-in-the-loop interactions and how the platform simplifies change management, making it easier to adapt and scale automations as business needs evolve.

What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t much to dislike about Workato—it’s a robust and thoughtfully designed platform. That said, I’d love to see a more intuitive and user-friendly data mapping experience. Additionally, while the AI Assistant is still relatively new, it shows promise. It would be great to see it mature into a more developer-friendly tool, similar to how AI tools like Cursor streamline and accelerate development workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workato is helping us solve a wide range of integration and automation challenges across key functions like GTM, Finance, Accounting, HR & Talent, and our EDI team. We’ve streamlined numerous workflows for stakeholders, enabling greater operational efficiency and cross-functional alignment.
Over time, we’ve seen consistent year-over-year growth in hours saved, reduced costs, and improved speed and agility. Consolidating multiple iPaaS solutions into Workato’s unified platform has helped us reduce errors and simplify support. Additionally, Workato’s generative API capabilities, support for ETL and reverse ETL use cases, and the introduction of AI Agents have further enhanced our ability to build scalable, intelligent automations that drive measurable impact across the business.

Shift from Ability to Capability
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to have both integrations and automations function in the same business transaction.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workato doesn't directly support dictionary data types. This restricts it's ability to aggregate information into data types for complex uses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many of our tools are acquired and maintained by non-technical folks. They can be in operations, sales, marketing, etc. and have operation skills, and they lack the technical skills to build scalable and efficient solutions.
Workato can access thousands of APIs that a only developer knowledge of the specific tool in mind would have to know about. With Workato, I can create integrations without a large technical background.
