One-Click Contract Generation with Real-Time Data—A Huge Time Saver
What do you like best about the product?
I like Conga Composer because of it saves a lot of time and enabling us to genrate our contract documents in one single click with the real time data from contract details. It is easy to integrate with our Salesofrce environment and easy to implement. We just need to create templates and boom, it is ready to generate your professional documents in seconds that are ready for review, and execute.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing cost is a problem here. it is a light weight solution but at the same time it is very expensive. Another problem is the multiple outages we had in last financial year disrupting our daily contractual work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conga Composer helps us move away from that maual efforts that one has to create long contract documents that always has room for manual errors. COnga COmposer accelerates our worflows amd make the document generation more reloable, efficient, accurate and professional. we ar enot only usoing it for sales, our org uses it for HR needs, contracts, and also for leagl and operations teams.

Composer provides a simple user interface with useful functionalities such as creating custom buttons with custom queries, templates, and signature templates. Composer provides secure document storage, and its API-first design approach helps implement customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Template design process in Composer is complex and Template builder tool does not help much
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Composer ensures that every functionality accessible from the UI also has an API, and because of this, automating use cases is simple. Users can click a single button, and it completes what would otherwise be a 10-step process in one action.

Some advanced template configurations can be complex and may require technical knowledge. Troubleshooting template issues can take time, especially for new users. However, once templates are set up correctly, the solution is stable and works well.

It's a amazing product that is very useful for generating various kinds of documents. Using pre-built templates makes it easy to achieve specific business use cases and customize outputs as needed.

The initial setup for Composer can be a bit complex and time-consuming. However, once everything is configured, the document generation process becomes very fast and efficient.

We use Composer to generate Excel and Word documents as part of our Conga flow, primarily alongside Conga CPQ. It helps us create well-formatted templates with accurate data and made overall document generation process smooth and reliable.

I like how straightforward Conga Composer is once you get the hang of it. The core concepts make sense, and building or updating documents becomes pretty routine once you're familiar with how everything works. One of the best aspects is probably the documentation, as it really helps with getting documents out to customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main challenge is getting to a high level of understanding Conga Composer. It has a lot of moving parts, so creating or troubleshooting solutions requires checking multiple areas like templates, queries, supporting objects, and automation. Issues are not always obvious, and resolving them needs a broad understanding of the full setup rather than just a quick fix. Also, for beginners, it can be quite difficult and complicated at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Conga Composer to generate quotes, contracts, and invoices within our company. It helps us send documents with the desired design and branding and allows us to bring data back into our Salesforce org.

I use Conga Composer to generate documents easily by eliminating manual repetitive processes, making it a one-click process. It dynamically generates documents for multiple records directly from Salesforce data, removing the need for manual document creation for each record. I find it easy to integrate with multiple applications, which adds flexibility and reliability. I love how Composer is improving by adapting to new technologies, making it more reliable. For example, they recently introduced ColumnHide and TableHide functionality, reducing the dependency on MS Word limitations and proving useful with automation apps like Conga Batch/Trigger or Salesforce Flows. This makes it a highly automated dynamic document generation tool. It is simple to integrate with other products, such as DocuSign, allowing us to use multiple functionalities directly with Composer's Solution URL parameters. The initial setup was straightforward, and their support provides documentation, so I can rely on them if I encounter challenges.
What do you dislike about the product?
One major thing that can be improved is, sometimes while using complex templates inside Conga Composer or using multiple nested logic within a template, it causes a lot of delay in generating the document.

Fast PDF Generation and Helpful Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
PDF generation is quick. Adding merge field to refer to the latest data to populate on templates that is interesting. Conga documentation is very helpful.

For initial setup in new salesforce org, somewhere clear instructions should be given which will be helpful for conga beginners

PDF generation in few seconds is as per the requirement and attach as file on salesforce object or on parent object.

At times, the data in documents isn't entirely accurate and it's difficult to determine its source. However, their support system does make things somewhat easier.

Conga Composer has been instrumental in helping us manage large deals, particularly when it comes to supporting tender teams in understanding complex transactions.
Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish
What do you like best about the product?
We like how Conga Composer provides admins the ability to configure custom solutions that can be placed on custom objects, and that solution queries the data from the custom object, puts it in the template, and generates the document smoothly. With just one click on a custom-designed button, we can have the document generated along with sending it to the client and getting the record updated automatically with the latest updates. This proves how well Conga Composer is designed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Composer’s document generation service is managed by Conga and is deployed on their cloud. We frequently face issues where, during peak hours, the service goes down, and the response we receive is that they are working on it rather than proactively ensuring these issues do not occur.

Composer helps us design custom solutions with accurate documentation from the Conga side, and these solutions help us save a lot of time, allowing us to use that time for other activities
