Powerful Customization but Challenging Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the template designer in Conga Composer for its drag-and-drop simplicity. It stands out because it lets non-technical hospitality staff craft pixel-perfect guest proposals. This feature revolutionizes our workflow by enabling rapid customization of guest-facing documents without relying on IT support.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the template designer excels, Conga Composer's multi-language support falls short for our global hospitality operations, often requiring manual tweaks for non-English character rendering in contracts. Also, the initial setup wasn't easy, particularly the migration of templates from other contracts to Conga Composer, which was tricky for our team. The template migration process paused due to dependencies on legacy systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Conga Composer to generate customized proposals and contracts from Salesforce data, which eliminates hours spent compiling data and ensures professional, repeatable outputs for VIP client packages.

What do you like best about the product?
Conga Composer helps turn Salesforce data into finished documents without extra steps. It allows teams to create proposals, quotes, and other files by using structured layouts instead of manual formatting. The tool works smoothly with Salesforce and fits well with other Conga products. When support is needed, responses are clear and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up document layouts can take time, especially when documents have complex formatting. Small changes sometimes require multiple tests before everything looks right. New users may need some time to understand how templates and data mapping work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conga Composer reduces the effort needed to prepare documents by automating data insertion from Salesforce. It helps avoid manual errors and keeps documents consistent. This saves time for users and improves the overall quality of documents being shared with customers.

Composers let me create accurate documents by merging data from salesforce or other systems directly into templates and it saves my time by eliminating manual copy paste work.

It is better to use. and as of now i have not found anything to dislike.

Composer can pull data from salesforce and with the Api from any system.
Composer is not just for sales but our legal, hr, finance team and customer success teams use it for different use cases. Like our CS system use it to automate power point reviews.

The integration with other Conga products works smoothly, and support is responsive when help is needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating and maintaining advanced templates can take time and may require technical knowledge. Small formatting changes often need testing to ensure documents are generated correctly. For new users, there is a learning curve at the beginning.

Conga Composer reduces manual work by automating document generation. It ensures accurate data is used and eliminates repetitive tasks like copying information from Salesforce. This saves time, reduces errors, and improves overall efficiency.
Seamless Conga Composer + CPQ Integration That Saves Time on Proposals and Quotes
What do you like best about the product?
We use Conga Composer along with CPQ and we can seemlessly integrate both the packages. We use Word, Excel, Power point with Conga Composer to easily meet our business requirements. Contracts, Proposals/ quotes generates seemlessly in the format that we designed the templates - This saves our time a lot, since we frequently use the emplates. We do Orders and Quote Generation, Conga Composer well fits with the Conga CPQ that eases our work. Once everything is set up correctly a novice person without a technical knowledge can also generates the proposals with templates. Conga Composer has a strong Customer support when in need they help with fixes.
What do you dislike about the product?
So one thing we observed is the Template designing. Basic templates rae easy to design, but the complex requirements like conditional logics, multiple objects involvement needs strong working skills and Expertise in Conga composer. And when there is a need to enhance the Template with new requirement even if it is a small change it takes time to update the multiple tables and conditions involved. When something goes wrong the errors are too generic to understand and troubleshoot. Templates with Mutiple LineItems often takes time to generate. Customer still needs support is needed when trouble shoot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conga composer solves the problem of manual creation and error-prone document generation from salesforce data. we usually exports data in Excel/Word and do the updates which is high rosk and time consuming, with Conga composer it eases our work.

Steep learning curve—advanced features such as queries, conditional logic, and button URLs require a solid amount of technical knowledge to use effectively.

Conga Composer's steep learning curve, complex setup, slow performance with large documents, and occasional UI clunkiness, alongside concerns about decreasing support quality and rising costs post-acquisition, making complex tasks time-consuming despite its powerful Salesforce data integration

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Conga Composer makes life easier by seamlessly pulling Salesforce data from both standard and custom objects, which allows for easy document generation. It helps us utilize other Conga tools like eSignature and Conga batch classes and triggers. Conga Batch uses Conga Composer to bulk generate documents on a schedule, whether it's monthly or weekly, which is super useful. Switching from LibreOffice Writer to Conga Composer has been beneficial as it offers higher quality CRM integration and document generation. The initial setup is basic and easy, just requiring an install from AppExchange and setting permissions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really specific as it is very helpful for business purposes, but we can always improve on performance.

Conga Composer automates document generation using Salesforce data, making it easy to handle standard and custom objects. It helps us integrate with other Conga tools like eSignature and batch processing for scheduled document creation.

Composer provides a simple user interface with useful functionalities such as creating custom buttons with custom queries, templates, and signature templates. Composer provides secure document storage, and its API-first design approach helps implement customization.

Template design process in Composer is complex and Template builder tool does not help much
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Composer ensures that every functionality accessible from the UI also has an API, and because of this, automating use cases is simple. Users can click a single button, and it completes what would otherwise be a 10-step process in one action.

What do you like best about the product?
Generate documents in different formats and quotes quickly. Also, the ease of implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a failure arises, it is usually difficult to resolve. Additionally, the training for the user is not entirely clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it together with Salesforce and it has been very useful for me: it reduces errors and speeds up document production, making the process more agile and organized.
