Not just a chatbot
Marbot provides flexible and customizable monitoring for our AWS infrastructure that was very easy to set up. Slack notifications are done with descriptive names and graphs so we don't have to look up instance IDs and history like we would with SNS subscriptions. The messages are targeted and deduplicated to reduce notification fatigue and ensure important events in our environment are shown with the relevant background information and reference links.
Cloudwatch alarms are automatically created which cover all the major systems we use and Marbot updates them as our infrastructure grows and changes. This saved us hours of work and will be much more sustainable long term. We were then able to use tags to customize different types of alarms to fit our exact needs and the developers were very responsive to questions we had! We're very pleased with the additional functionality we've gained and it's well worth the price!
Very useful for monitoring Elastic Beanstalk
Amazon make it difficult to monitor EB via Slack but Marbot fixes that, making it really simple to watch your apps for problems.
Andreas is really open to suggestions and quick to help if there's a problem so would highly recommend trying it.
