  • February 16, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Our Lacework support team is always ready to help with any questions or concerns. We hold regularly scheduled meetings to help meet our program goals, and Lacework is always prepared to help drive the effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I can see from my experience and usage would be the overall maturity level of the platform. It's still relatively young in the industry and has many great features coming on its development roadmap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lacework helps drive the foundation for our Vulnerability Management, Compliance Management and File Integrity Monitoring programs. We utilize it for our daily operations and alerting.

What do you like best about the product?
Compliance and Vulnerability management of the product are awesome. Our teams use it throughout to ensure our estate is up to scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
The IDS is a little frustrating, I don't seem to have much configurability in how much Lacework can and can't detect, and therefore I'm not able to measure it as properly as I'd like to compared to manual IDS systems where I can measure against MITRE etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The security compliance of our estate and information is extremely important to us, so we utilise Lacework to resolve issues around best practice and configuration in our space that we may otherwise overlook, we know it can only take a few misconfigurations to cause huge problems.

Cloud Security Posture Management Platform

  • February 16, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lacework provides extensive coverage for a wide range of cloud workloads, including containers, Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure. This means our firm can use a single platform to secure our entire cloud environment, rather than having to use multiple tools. Lacework uses automation and machine learning to provide real-time insights into security threats and vulnerabilities. This helps us quickly identify and remediate issues, and reduces the burden on my cloud security team. The platform offers built-in compliance checks for major industry standards such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC 2. This helps my firm stay compliant with regulatory requirements and reduces the risk of compliance-related issues. Lacework has a user-friendly interface that makes it easy for my team to set up and use the platform. This saves time and reduces the learning curve for my security teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacework can be expensive for those with limited budgets. The pricing model is based on the number of cloud accounts and workloads that are being monitored, so the cost can quickly add up for larger environments. Lacework's user interface is generally user-friendly, there can be a learning curve for security teams that are new to the platform. Some features may also be more complex to set up and use than others. The platform integrates with a wide range of cloud providers and technologies, but there may be challenges in integrating the platform with certain legacy systems or third-party tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Securing cloud environments can be challenging due to the dynamic and complex nature of cloud workloads, which can change rapidly and frequently. My business is using Lacework to streamline our cloud security operations, reduce the burden on security teams, and gain insights into our cloud environment that can help inform effective business decisions. Ultimately, Lacework helps us solve the problem of securing our cloud workloads in a way that is effective, efficient, and scalable.

Robust security monitoring tool

  • February 16, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lacework both reliably detects potential threats and provides meaningful insights for investigating. When drilling down into an alert, there is ample detail to provide to engineers.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the level of detail that lacework provides is very helpful, sometimes the amount of information presented in the high-level, dashboard-type views can be overwhelming (depending on what you're looking for).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lacework is helping to quickly identify potential threats and raise them to the security team to review. The investigation/detail around alerts makes it easy to convey problems to the engineering teams for fixes.

What do you like best about the product?
Security scans and notifications and utomated policy enforcement identifies suspicious activity or misconfigurations quickly and accurately in order to prevent malicious attacks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacework is expensive and we are looking for alternatives now.
Difficult to navigate sometimes to find more details.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lacework is solving the problem of cloud security by providing a comprehensive platform that offers real-time security analysis and compliance monitoring for cloud workloads. This helps organizations to identify threats and vulnerabilities early on, preventing malicious attacks. The platform also offers visibility into traffic flows, inbound/outbound connections, resources, and services for cloud environments.
