Pros:
* Easy to get up and running
* Plenty of connectors from generic HTTP and SOAP to SFDC, NetSuite, Workday, etc.
* Great community resources
* Friendly and responsive support
* Good customer care
* Good advanced administration of users and roles (add-on)
* Clean UI
* Many outlets for customers to provide feedback on product and roadmap
* Ability to script in Groovy and JavaScript or code in Java useful
What do you dislike about the product?
Cons:
* Documentation needs more examples and needs more content overall
* Getting on the same page with
* Understanding document flow not super straightforward
* No easy way to add counters, looping (for, do/while), and other common programatic behavior
* Near impossible to generate good documentation within integration outside of notes and description fields
* No access to raw REST and SOAP traffic
* High price - not a great option for non-enterprise customers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrations between a number of commercial cloud systems including: crm, hris, erp, procurement, subscription billing, ap reconciliation, identity management, and custom internal systems.

Fast and easy development of integrations. Getting new developers online with Boomi is pretty simple.

Leading Integration Platform

  • October 21, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Boomi allows for very rapid development of integrations. It also allows for creating reusable components to make maintenance across integrations easier.

Boomi has very powerful versioning and logging capabilities.

User management is extremely user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only major dislike is that Boomi does not support folder level permission to different integrations. This creates issues sometimes.

Other minor items:

There is no keyword search for large process logs.

Connections cannot be easily checked/tested when they are being created.

Boomi does not provide a native small database to be used for quick processes. It would be very helpful to have this available even when storage is not the purpose of Boomi, it would be very useful to provide a native database space workplace with limited in size.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration and data transformation across systems.
Benefits of using Boomi over other products we have tested are clear, Boomi is robust and very user friendly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have not see any Boomi clients that after using it for a while, are not happy with the product. The only concern potential customers face is cost of for this platform.

Powerful and flexible product

  • October 21, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Good interface that allows non-programmers a way to synch and manipulate data while also allowing people with a programming background to do fairly extensive data manipulation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is visual, but it is still a new language and thus there is a learning curve for how to put the elements together and to apply the parameters. Sometimes not very intuitive to me, but there is generally documentation or examples that can be found. Important to understand how to override with parameters to reduce your connector usage and license fees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the product to synch data from a legacy system into Salesforce. What was built can be maintained by the customer by people with light programming skills.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Once you learn how to use the product, you can do minor integrations to reasonably complex integrations very quickly and subsequent modifications to add new fields have been simple. For very large and extremely complex integrations, my preference would probably still be code, but I'm a programmer.

Boomi is a great and intuitive tool that enables seamless integrations with practically any platform

  • October 21, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very intuitive for something that can be as powerful and versatile
What do you dislike about the product?
If I have to say anything I would say it is the missing native support for output to more file formats like XLSX and PDF.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating with multiple platforms without invoking development teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a robust and powerful cloud integration platform - look no further. Boomi is exceptional at enabling customers to design integration processes and transfer data between applications and platforms.

  • October 21, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best as per Gartner - https://www.informatica.com/sg/ipaas-magic-quadrant.html
Easy to use for Novice user also.
Simple and lightweight still can fulfill all complex integration needs.
Availability of inbuilt connectors (Not many iPaaS vendors provides connectors for Anaplan, Workday etc.(only SoftwareAG has it as of today.)
Very reasonable pricing and no need to buy unnecessary add-on as bundle
No bugs in product
What do you dislike about the product?
Though there is a workaround for RosettaNet requests, Its good to have connector for it like EDI.

Process logs can be fine tuned. Also, User should have option to store process logs in file as well as database to the user.

User need to have option to view transaction table data for detailed analysis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud to Cloud Integration
Cloud to Ground Integration
Ground to Cloud Integration
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommended for integration needs of small to middle level data/process integration. You will end up saving a lot.

Not too good when it comes to performance of the APIs.

Could be so much better

  • October 20, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
SOCL queries returned as XML makes it fairly plug and play and easier to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding a changed component, when the project is very complex is virtually impossible.
Storing returned data 'in memory' is way more complex than it should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Linking silo-ed applications.

ETL between disparate systems is useful.

Hosting Atoms on own infrastructure appears to be bad, very flaky, writing GBs of log files even when all endpoints are set to low latency.

Overall quite frustrating.

Boomi Product Review

  • October 19, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The easy to follow layout for building complex processes. Good support when things don't make sense. Flexibility to fallback on javascript or groovy if pre-defined shapes aren't doing enough. Good pre-built logging.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some error responses are hard to understand. No efforts made to upgrade QB SDK for a QB integration so you lose functionality with key fields like SKU and item types. No work around either as QB is really specific how you connect with it. I guess I should be glad they have an option to connect to QB at all.

But by and large, I've never had an integration that I could accomplish with Boomi. Every single integration I've done (about 100 different EDI messages to a wild array of systems) have all been made extremely efficient because of this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting an extremely wide variety of different systems together within days rather than weeks. Having a ton of flexibility with mapping fields and updating processes to handle more or less within hours instead of days. Every EDI team I come across seems way less organized and their development times are always at least double. I didn't know a thing about EDI before I started working with this tool and now I feel like an absolute Pro, ready to dictate how an integration needs to go, rather than react to what a business may need. I can create extremely robust processes that send detailed messages as to why data might have failed a test. This makes for great communication between Vendor and Customer and ultimately helps planning and doing business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want the ability to build complex data integration but still have it be flexible and easy enough to use that multiple people can work on the same thing without confusing or breaking pre-existing work, then Boomi is the perfect product. You want reliable logging, easy troubleshooting, and good support then Boomi is for you.
