What do you like best about the product?
For the most part, when I use lotus notes (my email function) I can usually use the Sugar plug in to connect my emails. Lately, it hasn't worked ... but that is my favorite feature
What do you dislike about the product?
The reports are very detailed and not user friendly at all... Also, I can't stand when I cant use the sugar plug in with lotus notes, I am unable to track emails sent/received against accounts. I CONSTANTLY get a "java.io.IOException error multiple times a day. Really annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a great tool to use, even mobile when it does work - I can access accounts while in the field

It can be overly complex - at least for our business.

We're principally interested in dashboards and seeing how we move through the pipeline.

What do you like best about the product?
Sugar is an intuitive solution, affordable with a lot of powerfull features.
The information is easy to fill in and read.
Sugar OnDemand (saas) is included in the subscription fee, and the product comes with a AAA grade mobile application that works perfectly on iPhone/Android mobile phones.

What do you dislike about the product?
The current EOL policy associated with the 7th generation of the product (18 months max) is maybe a quick too fast as we need to move on updates and upgrades quite frequently

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All our customers and lead informations are inside Sugar database. We extended the product with invoicing and automatic PDF conversion features to send any quote or invoice to our customer within one click in the solution !
Changing the Customer Experience
What do you like best about the product?
I like that everything within an account is easily accessible withing one spot. You can easily navigate to find the information that you need to successfully communicate with the client, and within your sales team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is truthfully not much that I dislike about this product, as it has helped to make my life much easier when working with customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sugar CRM helps to keep our sales, programming, and customer service teams organized and on the same page. We can easily help a customer through each sales stage quickly and with ease.
A CRM that reall works!
What do you like best about the product?
Sugar's ease of configuration makes it flexible enough for ant organisation - small or large. It's also very easy to learn and use with a superb user interface and and a great Mobile tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Improved reporting options would be helpful Having said that The Excel Plug-in gives you a great way to report and analyse information the Sugar Database.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better pipeline visibility, more effective lead management resulting in a shorter lead to cash cycle.

What do you like best about the product?
We like the unlimited customization and the power of SugarCRM. It's an extremely flexible system with speed and great user interface. The learning curve isn't very steep and they have great support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price can be a hurdle for small businesses with less than 10 employees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We built a case management system for lawyers and it increases the efficiency of the firm. It makes the office transparent and, as a result, accountability has sky-rocketed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend SugarCRM to businesses looking to increase efficiency, automate processes, and use their human capital for more complex matters rather than repeatable tasks.
A flexible plateform
What do you like best about the product?
I love the way, as an admin, I can create and edit moudules using the sugar built-in moudule builder and Studio. Also, the Advanced workflow tool is create to automate process, whitout requiering code.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the on demand service, I run into performance issues sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We lacked a complete view of our pipeline and had a hard time with forecast. Now we have a complete view of our pipeline and our forecast is more and more accurate.
Great UI & Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
Sugar's User Interface and Customer Service are excellent. The price point for the feature set can't be beat.
What do you dislike about the product?
The speed of the API is good enough but could be a little faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a SugarCRM implementer we have solved a wide range of business problems from Finance to Manufacturing to Agribusiness.

Think through your requirements and processes and see if they fit within any CRM system you're looking at.
SugarCRM in an IT company: From purchasing dept to sales consultants
What do you like best about the product?
There are many, for example: Easy of use and how intuitive SugarCRM is. It is also very adaptable and customizable. We have been able to adjust it to fit our business needs. It comes with an awesome, free Outlook plugin that for some users enables them to almost never leave their mailbox. The mobile client is fast, feature rich, and very customizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting tool could be better. It works ok for basic needs but it´s missing tools like line graphs, overlaying trend line/moving average, etc. Email module needs a makeover (but the great Outlook plugin makes up for most of it) and added features like ability to forward archived email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Follow up on sale opportunities are solved with workflows (reminders, red banner once past Expected Close Date, etc). Scheduled reports assist the managers to be on top of their sales teams, as well. Giving our employees a 360 degree overview of the client as well as gathering most users into a single system. We sync our client list from our SAP system to provide correct information to our employees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do a pilot in their cloud sandbox and get your feet wet that way. It´s easy and very likely that you´ll see quickly whether or not Sugar fits your needs.

What do you like best about the product?
With the new update, the one-click to log a call once at an account's page is pretty awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new autofill capability is awkward and slow, which, in a lot of ways, makes it even more aggravating than the previous version. I also wish there was a feature to search "other nearby accounts".

I like that it helps me to keep track of my accounts.

It takes a lot of sandbox time to become proficient at it, but it does happen.
