Miro Board

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Miro is how it makes collaboration simple and engaging, especially for distributed teams. The infinite canvas gives the freedom to brainstorm, organize, and expand ideas without constraints, while the ready-made templates make it easy to structure sessions like workshops, retrospectives, or roadmaps. It’s very intuitive, so anyone can jump in quickly, and the real-time collaboration combined with integrations into tools like Jira, Teams, or Slack ensures that ideas move smoothly from planning into execution.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find less ideal about Miro is that as boards grow larger, they can become a bit overwhelming to navigate and sometimes feel cluttered if not well-structured. Performance can also lag with very complex boards or when many people are collaborating at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is solving the problem of fragmented collaboration by bringing brainstorming, planning, and visualization into one shared space where everyone can contribute in real time. Instead of relying on scattered documents, presentations, or long email threads, our teams can use Miro’s infinite canvas to map out ideas, workflows, and strategies visually, which makes discussions clearer and decisions faster. For me, this has been especially beneficial in reducing miscommunication, keeping everyone aligned regardless of location, and ensuring that ideas are captured and turned into actionable plans without losing momentum.

Brilliant Tool for Online Collaboration

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has proven to be an incredibly valuable tool for my team. Since we work remotely, we depend heavily on digital collaboration platforms, and Miro stands out as the best choice we've found. I really appreciate how versatile it is—we use it for everything from strategic planning and creative brainstorming to note taking and scheduling. It's rewarding to watch team members grow more confident with Miro and begin to express their ideas visually within the platform. Miro also provides a fantastic way for those who might feel less comfortable speaking up to contribute their thoughts to the group. Plus, its attractive design is always a bonus.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, certain features can seem unnecessarily complex, such as when trying to insert a table or design basic templates and graphic organizers. Despite this, I don't really have any major complaints about Miro. It remains my go-to tool for online and asynchronous tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our main challenge as a remote team is collaborating effectively online. Miro provides us with a platform to share our thoughts, build on one another's ideas, and document our work in a meaningful way.

An Indispensable Digital Canvas for Team Collaboration

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Miro is its sheer flexibility combined with an exceptional Ease of Use. It perfectly simulates the feeling of an infinite whiteboard while providing powerful digital tools. The Number of Features is astounding; the vast library of pre-built templates for everything from brainstorming sessions to complex user journey maps means you can get started on meaningful work almost instantly.

The Ease of Implementation is a major plus. You can onboard new team members within minutes just by sharing a link, making it a frictionless tool for collaboration. For our team, its Frequency of Use is daily, as it serves as our central hub for project planning, design sprints, and retrospectives. Finally, the seamless Ease of Integration with other essential tools like Jira, Slack, and Google Drive ensures it fits perfectly into our existing workflow, preventing it from becoming just another isolated app.
What do you dislike about the product?
While powerful, the platform can sometimes be a victim of its own success. For new users, the sheer Number of Features can be overwhelming, leading to a steeper learning curve to master its full potential beyond the basics.

Performance can also become a noticeable issue. Very large and complex boards, populated with many images and elements, can become sluggish and laggy, especially on less powerful hardware. Another point of friction is the pricing structure; while there is a free tier, its limitations can be felt quickly, and the cost for premium features can be a bit steep for smaller teams or individual users. While basic Customer Support is available, getting immediate, in-depth help for complex technical issues can sometimes be a slower process than desired on lower-tier plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a UX designer, Miro solves the critical problems of a fragmented workflow and disconnected remote collaboration.

It creates a single source of truth. Miro allows me to bring my entire process—from user research and journey maps to final wireframes—onto one single board. This eliminates scattered files and provides a holistic view of the project for me and my stakeholders.

It enables true real-time collaboration. Miro acts as our team's shared virtual whiteboard. We can run live brainstorming sessions, conduct design workshops, and map out user flows together, no matter where we are. It keeps the creative momentum going.

It drastically speeds up feedback loops. Instead of slow email chains, stakeholders can drop comments directly onto my designs. This provides immediate, contextual feedback in one place, allowing me to iterate much more quickly and efficiently.

Miro enhances productivity during sprint planning, retrospectives, and brainstorming sessions, while also simplifying complex technical discussions through visual aids.

Great features and templates,

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro makes collaboration smooth and efficient. The wide range of ready-to-use templates saves a lot of setup time and makes it easy to start new projects, whether it’s brainstorming, planning, or running workshops. The interface is intuitive, so even new users can get on board quickly.

I especially value the built-in features that go beyond just digital whiteboarding, like AI writing, clustering sticky notes into themes, and other automation that reduces manual work.

Miro also works well for both async and real-time collaboration. It’s easy to share boards with colleagues, run interactive sessions, and then return later to continue refining ideas. The flexibility makes it useful for a wide range of use cases: workshops, design sprints, retrospectives, strategy planning, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seem to be potential dark patterns around expanding the team and paying more. For example, when you share a Miro link, others can request access – but granting that access can automatically add them to your team (which increases costs), even if you only wanted to give them edit access for a single file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps solve the challenge of running collaborative workshops and brainstorming sessions remotely or across distributed teams. Instead of relying on scattered documents and endless meetings, we can centralize ideas, notes, and plans in one place.

It also reduces the manual effort of organizing information. Features like sticky note clustering, voting, and templates make it faster to go from raw ideas to structured insights. This keeps workshops productive and ensures outcomes are captured clearly, instead of being lost in slides or meeting notes.

The biggest benefit for us is speed and alignment: Miro helps bring people together, get ideas out quickly, and move projects forward without the usual friction of remote collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
This platform appears to be quite user-friendly, offering a wide range of features. So far, I have really enjoyed using it to create charts, organizational charts, and sitemaps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features appear quite complex, and there is definitely a learning curve to fully take advantage of everything it offers. Additionally, the costs can be somewhat daunting for smaller agencies, especially when you need to add team members. This is particularly true nowadays, as other apps and platforms are also providing a wide range of services, many of which overlap with what Miro offers. It can be challenging to choose which platform to stick with, especially when you want to centralize your efforts.

At times, the sheer number of features can also feel overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Putting ideas into "paper"

Grounding brainstorming sessions

Getting overarching views for projects

Whole project management internal structure for projects
