    Research

Excellent for qualitative research

  • September 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I work for a research consultancy and we rely on miro for a lot of qualitative data analysis, conducting workshops, and creating logic models. It's great that we can all work in one document and use it for so many different elements of our work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Things can get buggy and slow, particularly when we're working on a very large board - which is frustrating if we're working to a deadline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- the need to work collaboratively
- the need to create diagrams and visuals that are personalised and shareable

we really benefit from miro being multi-use, from analysis to fieldwork. Otherwise we would have to use a great number of different platforms or outsource work.

Miro - a great tool for product teams

  • September 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is really a great tool for all steps in the product cycle, from brainstorming through to development planning.
I use it very often to collect my thoughts when starting product discovery, and I love how I can represent my ideas and findings in a non-linear manner, as more of a mind map.

Miro is also great for collaborative work, and the workshop tools such as voting and timers are great.

When we get more into structured work, such as iteration or development planning, you can easily do a more structured approach using the tool, which is helped by the many tools and integrations they have (google products, tables, links, as well as all the exporting possibilities).

It's super intuitive to use and really helpful for many different use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have some more image capabilities, such as blurring, so that we can truly do everything we need in Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the documentation of many of our discovery and delivery processes, allowing us to document structured and unstructured thoughts.

Essential Tool for my Work

  • September 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the collaboration features and the flexibility to build anything to my liking. I use it for wireframing, process flows, product roadmap brainstorming and prioritisation and everything in between. It is easy for everyone in my team to adopt whether technical or not.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes my board gets too cluttered because I am trying to do everything all at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a remote team and we can't do whiteboarding sessions in real life so being able to do it virtually is beneficial. In addition, it is a lot quicker to type and use miro than having to write everything out.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that I can create any type of UX/UI flow, like flowcharts, create pain-point themes etc. and all that while also being able to share it in real time!
What do you dislike about the product?
What i dislike is the lack of CTRL or ALT and mouse-scroll which is the way to navigate in Adobe products. I sometimes use ALT and mouse-scroll to zoom and then i remember that i don't need it, and it pops my browser's pop-up menu..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to create (in general) while also being smooth and able to share in real time!

My go-to tool for visual thinking and planning

  • September 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is my preferred tool for almost any task that requires visualisation, whether it’s brainstorming, sketching a website layout, project planning, or creative collaboration. The wide range of templates makes it easy to get started without facing a blank page, and I often recommend it to teams who need a shared space to think and plan together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I rely heavily on spreadsheets for copywriting and tracking numbers, especially when sharing files with multiple stakeholders. With limited Miro licenses, I sometimes find it easier to default back to Google Sheets. A stronger integration with spreadsheets would make the workflow smoother.

While Miro is excellent for ideation, its prototyping options are still limited. The available shapes don’t always allow for detailed mock-ups, and I often end up importing screenshots to bridge the gap. Expanding these capabilities would make it even more valuable as a design and planning tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro brings everything into one place. Having a single large board where I can zoom in and out within seconds makes it easy to focus on details or see the bigger picture, even without design skills. It allows me to centralise projects that involve many linked files, and I find it incredibly useful how quickly it imports images and documents, keeping the workflow smooth and organised.

A Game-Changer for Remote Collaboration

  • September 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how intuitive and easy it is to use Miro, making it simple to get started without hassle. I appreciate its ability to facilitate effective brainstorming, workshops, and design thinking remotely, replicating traditional whiteboard tasks but much faster. The digital benefits like copy-pasting, embedding, and using structured content like tables and Kanban boards significantly enhance productivity. The sticky notes feature is incredibly useful for organizing thoughts, conveying ideas, and collaborating visually in a way that written documents can't. Being able to revisit digital records from years ago without recreating them is invaluable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find some issues with Miro's handling of structured data. Although we use features like Kanban boards, I cannot filter to show only tickets assigned to me or those that are in progress. This limitation makes it challenging to streamline workflows and manage tasks efficiently. Additionally, there's a need to copy and paste data in multiple places, leading to confusion about which version is the source of truth. This fluidity in data management requires significant discipline to handle and could be improved with more intuitive features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Miro accelerates remote collaboration and eases brainstorming with digital tools, eliminating waste and enabling global teamwork. Its intuitive setup allows my team to work efficiently across distances, preserving ideas and documents for long-term access.

Easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is an incredibly intuitive and user-friendly collaboration tool. Its clean and visually appealing interface makes it easy to navigate, even for first-time users. Whether you're brainstorming ideas, mapping out workflows, or running workshops, Miro provides a seamless experience that encourages creativity and teamwork. The drag-and-drop functionality, real-time collaboration features, and wide range of templates make it a go-to platform for both individuals and teams. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance productivity and visual collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, one downside is that performance can lag when working on very large boards with many elements, especially during collaborative sessions. This can occasionally disrupt the flow of work and slow down productivity
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps solve several key challenges in collaborative work environments, especially around planning, communication, and visibility. One of the biggest problems it addresses is the fragmentation of ideas and workflows across different tools and teams. With Miro, everything—from brainstorming and sprint planning to project tracking and stakeholder alignment—can happen in one unified visual workspace. This eliminates the need for constant context switching and helps keep everyone on the same page.
Its intuitive interface and real-time collaboration features make it easy to co-create, comment, and iterate, even when team members are remote. For example, using mind maps and customer journey templates in Miro allows me to visualize dependencies and user needs more clearly than traditional documents or static whiteboards
