Facilitated Global Collaboration, Needs Improved Comment System
What do you like best about the product?
I like how organized Miro is and its search function. We arrange our boards via style number, so being able to search the board by style number is really helpful. I like that you can save individual boards as PDFs, which is good for having 'moment in time' save downs of the Miro board. The search function is great because it allows me to easily find the style I'm referring to on the board. It was also easy to figure out how to use and create boards.
What do you dislike about the product?
The comment feature. Many times when other users tag me using a comment, it is not easy to find where they made the comment. I wish I could get a notification that the comment was made and Miro would take me to directly where in the Miro board the comment was made. When I click on the comment thread 'team' I would like it to take me directly to where the comment was made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps us lay out seasonal assortments and facilitates collaboration with global design teams by allowing me to leave comments that are acted on by our team in Asia overnight.
Enhances Remote Collaboration with Intuitive Features
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the sticky notes in Miro, they're my go-to tool because they're super functional. There's something about the sticky notes that allow me to take them off and throw them away if needed, which I really appreciate. The setup felt super intuitive. I remember feeling like, wow, this is really cool and perfect.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I need to make two separate text boxes for different text hierarchies. I'd love to be able to edit text hierarchies more within a single text box, like having a header with a larger font than the rest of the text.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me with organizing ideas, allowing me to move items easily and connect them, unlike a traditional notebook. It solves remote collaboration challenges by enabling asynchronous teamwork, letting my team work on projects at our own times.
Effortless Collaboration and Versatile Media Integration
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to pull together multiple media forms from websites, photos, PDFs, and annotate. Ease of collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's easy to get disorganized, and working with multiple users it's difficult to establish a standard scale / size of text and images
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Design process, helps keep ideas organized in a central place and track progress over time.
Facilitate Collaboration Despite Technological Challenges
What do you like best about the product?
I love the templates and the ease of creating frames and workshop sections in Miro. The integrations with other tools like Monday also interest me, even though I haven't used them yet. Additionally, the initial setup of Miro was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I create materials with multiple shapes, locking the shapes is tedious. It would be nice if the AI could recognize what is a frame and what should remain movable. I would also like to have more native functions in Miro, such as a slide bar for evaluation or a two-axis positioning chart. The tools and native functions could be highlighted instead of being in the side panel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me guide the participants in the same direction and offers a clear and common framework for reflection.
Easy cross-team collaboration with visual impact
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, simple navigation, easy to collaborate. Easy to share boards with guests, without additional fees.
What do you dislike about the product?
Guests having to create Miro accounts to collaborate, even if only using once. It's not immediately clear what the menu items/options are on the right hand side which can be a barrier for new/guest users. New users also find it too easy to select all items in a frame, or accidentally join them with connecting lines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy collaboration with teams working remotely; visually impactful way to display information and collate ideas.
Effortless Marketing Organization for the Whole Team
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how this tool allows me to organize all marketing processes in a straightforward manner that my entire team can easily understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe that Miro's user experience could be enhanced to allow for smoother interactions and more flexibility when designing our processes with the available tools. Additionally, it would be beneficial to see improved integration options, especially with Prestashop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am working on reorganizing the range of topics and projects that we share with other members of the marketing team. At the same time, I am also revisiting and readjusting all of our ideas related to the various acquisition leverage strategies we use.
Simple Workflow Mapping and Documentation with Miro
What do you like best about the product?
The first thing that comes to mind is ease of use. We use Miro for a variety of things in our environment from mapping out workflows to feature lists to work breakdown structures. It's our go to tool for documenting anything that has a process related to it. Someone in our team uses Miro everyday and often multiple times per day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like most software companies, Miro wants to make money unnecessarily on every feature enhancement. Subscription fatigue is real and Miro is no exception. They expect payment for so many features that really should be baseline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're a software development company. We're building software that has a lot of complex processes that need to be simple for the user. Miro is a great tool for being able to map out workflows so we can see the places users are likely to get stuck on complexity.
API-Driven Development Made Easy with Miro
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fully developed documentation for the REST API usage, which makes development very easy. It's also very simple and practical to use the board and integrate different apps and templates into it. The documents provide a lot of value from a developer standpoint, pointing out all the requirements for code integration and usage. The integration of apps and templates just helped make Miro a more well-rounded application, which was beneficial for developing the solution we needed. Also, the initial setup was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing we had issues on is the limitation of items that can be deleted - currently, handwritten item deletion isn't supported.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro serves as our primary digital whiteboard, and its APIs significantly aid in developing client solutions. The comprehensive documentation is invaluable for code integration, and the integration of apps and templates makes it a versatile tool for creating required solutions.
Collaborative Powerhouse with Some Usability Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Miro for its collaborative capability. It's very flexible and allows me to work in different spaces, which lets me organize my thoughts in one place and ensure everything works the way I want it to. The flexibility and all the features have been a huge gift for me. I appreciate that many people can work at the same time on the same Miro board. I find the ability to use different shapes and figures, and move them around the board, very useful. The Gantt charts are fantastic for putting all the needed information in one place and having different views for a specific board, which helps us stay better organized. Also, it's very easy to set up, and exploring the templates and features is straightforward, with a template for almost everything I might need, which is something I find spectacular.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have to lock what I'm doing because when I put different things together, it's very hard for them to stick together or stay fixed. When I make one change, it can change a whole structure, and then I have to go back and fix it. Also, when I do Gantt charts, it was very difficult at the beginning to know where to click to edit or update things because I had to go through different clicks to get to one response. I spent about five minutes looking for a place to edit all the dropdown menus and the configuration of the table. Maybe that's something that could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for organizing my daily tasks into to-do lists and managing official mission travels. It solves collaboration issues by providing a space where everyone can join and see travel plans, supports team editing on the same board, and helps us stay organized with features like Gantt charts.
Perfect for DDD, Event Storming, and Mockup Creation
What do you like best about the product?
It works perfectly for DDD, event storming, and building mockups. I love using hotkeys.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it frustrating when items get dragged unintentionally, especially when I have no intention of moving them. This happens quite often during collaboration, where someone might accidentally drag background elements or similar items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool makes it easier to create flow diagrams, which in turn gives us a much clearer view of our workflow. Using it allows us to spot edge cases and put together a feature plan that comes very close to perfection. This has a positive effect on the quality of our solutions, leading to fewer bugs and less need for refactoring. With a solid plan in place, we are able to develop more quickly.
