More than an online whiteboard

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is not only a great tool to collaborate with peers and joint, synchronous or asynchronous work on common projects, and efficient way of storing and sharing information on projects, but - what's most important for me - it's excellent for structuring my own thoughts when working on multiple threads, projects and initiatives. To add structure, to visualise what I'm thinking about - helps me to be more efficient doing actual actions and tracking progress, rather than spending time trying to remember what was I about to do, or what was done in a particular 'thread', and what should happen next.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes too much freedom is a double-edged sword - but with appropriate administration I can protect the crucial parts of the shared board.
Also I miss a bit of enforcement - there are templates for nearly anything out there, either provided by Miro or by the community - but there are moments where strict control over what's allowed would help a bit, to enable an element of 'cloud control' when collaborating - especially in highly diverse and creative groups with strong opinions. It would sometimes be easier to 'blame it on the tool' that you can only use 'this' to express your work, for the sake of this particular exercise. Examples of such use-cases are some strict diagrams (like UML, C4, etc.) - to enforce the form and let people focus on the 'what' - rather than choose from plethora of templates to figure out how we will visualise the notation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Joint work on product / strategy - a single place to gather all the knowledge, store the BMC (or any other canvas) - structure the work and see the progress (not track - see it).
Once you get used to it - it's good at mind mapping for oneself, but you need to maintain the discipline.

I love using Miro for Complex Discussion and Brainstorming ideas

  • August 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is an incredible tool that significantly simplifies both processes and daily life. Its intuitive features allow me to organise and visualise complex ideas, making it easier to collaborate with my team. Additionally, Miro enhances my ability to lead and guide board discussions, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and can contribute effectively. Overall, it has transformed the way we work together, fostering better communication and more productive meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Copying boards from one company board to another, which I work for both.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has truly transformed the way I approach complex ideas and projects. It provides me with a powerful visual framework that allows me to map out intricate concepts clearly. By utilizing Miro, I can develop comprehensive program roadmaps that guide my work and ensure that I break down problems and identify solutions effectively.

One of its greatest advantages is how it facilitates the creation of structured processes that keep my clients aligned and informed throughout our collaboration. Before discovering Miro, I didn't realize I was a visual learner; I had been using an outdated tool like Visio, which felt limiting in comparison.

Miro's intuitive interface has completely revolutionized my workflow. In the past, my previous employer didn't recognize the value of Miro, so I had to purchase it out of my own pocket. This meant I was often working on my personal laptop and dealing with the tedious task of copying and pasting information between platforms. However, the leadership team eventually recognized the significant improvements in our processes that Miro facilitated, demonstrating its immense value in enhancing our project management and client communication.

Miro Tool Functionality & Collaboration with Matt Bowman

  • August 19, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
The Miro tool has been a game-changer for our team’s planning and collaboration. Its AI features—like clustering, diagramming, and agile coaching—have helped us work smarter and faster. The SSO integration also made access seamless across Telstra

Working with Matt Bowman has been an exceptional experience. He expertly customized Miro’s features to suit our needs, conducted engaging training sessions, and provided clear guidance on governance and best practices. His personal support during our one-on-one coaching sessions has been invaluable, helping me streamline our quarterly planning sessions for maximum productivity to be trailed at our next planning session in a few weeks' time. Matt is always receptive to feedback about the tool and its functionality, and he actively listened to our suggestions, incorporating them to enhance our board's efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would lovvvvve to see as a NEW feature is to be able to export the board from a list/prioritises point of view straight into Jira tickets. This would single handedly reduce the amount of admin it takes to get us 'sprint ready' ……. I'll be singing from the roof tops when that happens!

Thankyou for your support!!!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of planning and collabration

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility to build whereaver you want, in a collaborative way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, to do something simple you need to make many steps. If we have an AI to do this tedious tasks, it will be awesome!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro makes easy product conception and MVP architecture builds. It makes me and my team more productive and helps to direct focus on the important stuff of my product

Pretty decent, best for real-time collaboration

  • August 18, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
Miro makes it super easy to grab the right shapes, stickies, and lines with helpful guiding lines and snap to grid-like support to create visualizations that aren't super haphazard. I love watching multiple users zooming around a board as they contribute to the questions posed to them - it really highlights the best way to collaborate with team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
The value stream mapping toolsets aren't as robust as it should be for Lean/Toyota Production based experts. They could really be improved, but we make do with what is provided. I also wish it would have some capability to download the data that is usable, not just as a flat PDF, but something like a .csv file that allows us to organize the brainstorming inputs that are provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us with literal problem framing and problem solving, from root cause analysis to brainstorming and prioritizing the best ideas.

One of the best collaboration tools post-Covid

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is very versatile. As a Product Marketing Manager, I can do a myriad of things on it. I can collaborate on roadmaps, facilitate cross-functional workshops, and participate in working sessions with my distributed team.

When new features are released, I find them easy to use without too much searching or changing my workflow.

I use it about 2-3x a week on average and I like using the "Board updates" section to see if things have changed since I've last been in the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Team spaces are a bit difficult to organize in terms of privacy. If I want to share a board with specific people outside my team but save the board in my space, I have to ensure that they don' t have access to the other boards in our team space.

Another thing that I found difficult recently was making sure everyone had the right integration to Google Meet in order to embed the Miro board within the call. I find that there could be better instructions related to the tech setup of these integrations in Google Meet when it prompts you to share directly within it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needing to have a workshopped source of truth that is also easy to update, that is visual without resorting to Slides or Docs.

Best tool for project management

  • August 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to visualize and draw the ideas that come to our mind.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's really good, I do not have any dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I really would love to write down and draw stuff with my pencil and pen, and it would be a tough time for me to convert all of this into actual diagrams which we more conventional let's say using draw.io and other software. But this one right here is the best.

The software of freedom

What do you like best about the product?
I love all possible ways you can add things to the dashboards - text boxes, pictures, sticky notes, arrows.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found anything I would not like yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed something as close as paper and pen as possible as those are my favourite tools when I need to organize information or thoughts.
