Unlimited Canvas, Lacks Design Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Miro since approximately 2019 for creating customer journeys, as it provides unlimited space to draft ideas and collaborate effectively. I really appreciate the ability to maintain an overview by having different sources in one place without losing track of information. This makes it easier to manage and visualize complex projects. The size of the canvas is another feature I find invaluable; it gives me expansive freedom to map out ideas without constraint. Setting up Miro was easy, which was a relief and allowed for a smooth transition for myself and my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am frustrated with Miro’s lack of a 'format painter' option, which makes the design process less convenient. The design facilities are quite limited and currently don't match up to what PowerPoint offers, which can hinder the creative process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for unlimited space to draft ideas and collaborate, keeping different sources in one place without losing overview by using its large canvas feature.
Visual, Fast, and Collaborative for Animation
What do you like best about the product?
I love the speed and collaborative capabilities of Miro. It's an incredibly visual tool that facilitates the rapid exchange of ideas, whether it's for sharing character references, showing poses, or exchanging comments almost instantly. The near-infinite zoom is a highly appreciated feature, and the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) are almost perfect. The integration of YouTube videos and GIFs further enhances its versatility. Moreover, the use of simple commands like copy-paste (ctrl c ctrl v) makes Miro natural and convenient to use, which is essential for animators who need to operate quickly. Thanks to all these qualities, I consider that adopting Miro in our project from the start has been extremely beneficial and I am very inclined to recommend it to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro could improve its way of displaying and compressing videos. Additionally, the ability to have a frame-by-frame review and annotations directly on the videos would be a great asset.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to exchange ideas quickly, collaborate visually, and give instant feedback. It is fast, convenient, and facilitates team collaboration, which greatly helps in the animation process.

I love using Miro for UX research, analysis, synthesis, and visualization of qualitative data, as well as for brainstorming and presenting structural changes to my team. Miro provides an excellent platform for writing down and structuring my ideas while offering the flexibility to share these ideas with colleagues, which greatly enhances collaborative work, especially in remote settings. The ability to visualize my thoughts and define them clearly is a standout feature that makes it invaluable for me. Additionally, the initial setup of Miro was very easy, which made it convenient to start utilizing the tool right away.

Prototyping Powerhouse with Growing Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
I love the prototyping feature in Miro because it's incredibly user-friendly and quick to respond to prompts, allowing me to visualise user interfaces efficiently. This functionality is vital in my workflow as it facilitates seamless collaboration; team members can add notes and comments in real time, fostering dynamic interaction and iterative development processes. I'm particularly impressed by how easy it is to generate further iterations and click-through prototypes directly on the board with colleagues, enhancing the collaborative experience significantly. Additionally, I appreciate the improvements in administration features and user experience that have made managing Miro across multiple teams much smoother as our usage has grown. The ongoing enhancements to Miro's features, particularly in prototyping, make it an indispensable tool in my professional toolkit. It's integrated effortlessly with other tools like Figma and MS Teams, thereby offering a cohesive and efficient workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that some of the alignment of UI output in Miro prototyping could be improved. Sometimes, the copy and buttons are not properly aligned, which requires manual adjustments before I can progress further. This misalignment can be distracting in collaboration settings, as participants may focus on these details rather than the overall objective. As a facilitator, this means I have to work harder to keep the focus on the task at hand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for easy prototyping during exploration and experiment stages of product and service development, enabling real-time collaboration and workshops from business strategy to small campaigns, digital tool designs, and speed to market.
Versatile Tool with Intuitive UI, Needs Offline Support
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how Miro makes drawing on my iPad with Apple Pencil so efficient, making it perfect for my creative needs. The platform is invaluable for organizing and collaborating with others, as it allows me to bridge connections in a non-linear, yet structured way, accommodating both my need for relational and linear formats. Its evolving features and user-friendliness make it incredibly useful. I love its capacity to support my work across different settings—whether it's structured planning or messy, creative collaboration. I also value how Miro integrates well with other software, particularly for journey management, and its ease of use, even for newer features. The straightforward setup and intuitive interface save me time, and I enjoy the regular updates, which consistently add useful features that enhance my workflow. I recently became a Miro Ambassador, and I often recommend Miro because its capabilities meet my team's needs and improve our productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
One major issue I face is the lack of markdown or rich text capability within smart tables' text fields in Miro. This limitation hinders my ability to create content directly within tables, which is something I need on a daily basis to publish posts to my teams. Additionally, I struggle with accessing smart documents directly. Currently, I need to browse my board to find them, and the workaround of setting a default view isn't ideal as it restricts me to only one smart document per Miro board. This is impractical when I'm collaborating on a single topic that involves multiple smart documents. Furthermore, Miro's lack of offline support creates significant challenges, especially when I am on a plane or in venues with poor internet connectivity. This restriction prevents me from accessing or updating boards when offline, impacting productivity during presentations or when I wish to work offline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to organize ideas, collaborate with others, and manage meetings efficiently, combining both structured and creative work in one place. It supports idea generation, planning, and sharing for seamless teamwork.

Miro’s AI-powered prototyping tool is a solid option for quickly turning ideas into interactive, low-fidelity prototypes. As a Business Analyst, I found it surprisingly effective — the AI interpreted my text descriptions well, creating a basic but accurate user flow that matched my intent. While the visual designs were fairly simple, the tool excelled at capturing flow logic and screen transitions, which made it perfect for early requirement validation.
It’s not a replacement for high-fidelity tools like Figma or Adobe XD, but it’s great for kickstarting discussions and aligning teams early in the design process. It also saved time explaining flows to the designer who later refined the visuals.
Verdict: Excellent for quick ideation, flow mapping, and requirement communication — less suited for detailed UI design.
