Future of Collaborative Software with Minor Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Miro allows me to give a visitor access without requiring them to become a paid subscriber. I like that it works seamlessly with Google Workspace. For example, I can easily access files stored in my G Drive, or import photos from Google Photos into the application. I like how I can do broad planning on the unlimited canvas, but then zoom into individual details in a traditional slide-show type experience. The app's aesthetic appeal and smooth performance are noteworthy, and it allows me to quickly view and explore a lot of information, avoiding the hassle of searching for documents hidden in various parts of my digital ecosystem. I find that using Miro is smoother and more integrated than with similar use-cases involving Trello or Canva, and it feels like a platform designed for the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro looks really different from applications that most of my clients and colleagues have used in the past. This can be intimidating for them when they first join a board. Additionally, I haven't had much luck with video collaboration. For the few times I've attempted it, we quickly gave up on Miro, and instead did our video/voice conferencing in Google Chat or Zoom, using a screenshare feature instead. There also seem to be some limitations and awkwardness when attempting to collaborate using the mobile app version. I find myself telling clients to go to their laptop to view the board instead.... and this feels awkward. People want to be able to use the device they feel most comfortable with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to centralize information from various sources into one visual platform, enhancing collaboration without login stress. It's smooth, integrates well, and unleashes creativity by allowing quick exploration of information, unlike traditional applications.

Highly Flexible, Excellent for Visual Projects
What do you like best about the product?
I love Miro for its incredible flexibility and vast amount of space it offers, allowing me to seamlessly create and manage a wide array of projects, whether it's a complex network of creative ideas or a detailed mapping of marketing initiatives for the year. The tool is particularly invaluable because it facilitates the integration of visuals, enabling me to link PDFs, websites, and different sections within the Miro board without hassle. Miro’s avoidance of cumbersome scrolling and DIY tables that other documentation tools require significantly enhances my workflow efficiency. I also find the pre-made templates incredibly useful as they inspire my own board formatting and streamline my initial setup process. Additionally, I appreciate how Miro consolidates all project elements on a single platform, eliminating the need to shuffle through multiple pages or tabs, which enhances productivity and focus.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find sharing across departments challenging in Miro, as giving access to people is sometimes problematic and constrained. It seems like there's not enough space or capability to grant access effectively to users outside our marketing team.

Intuitive and Versatile, A Strategic Must-Have
What do you like best about the product?
I love Miro for its accessibility across multiple devices, allowing me to access my work and ideas from anywhere, be it my computer, iPad, or laptop. This flexibility ensures I have all my ideas at my fingertips whenever inspiration strikes, and I can easily update or change things as needed. I find the infinite whiteboard feature incredibly valuable as it supports multiple mind maps and keeps all my strategic business plans organized in one platform, eliminating the need to juggle between multiple tabs and files. The talk tracks feature is another aspect I appreciate, as it allows me to record videos and share them with others, walking them through my ideas in a clear and effective manner, which is especially beneficial when working with clients. Additionally, Miro's intuitive interface makes it easy to use from the get-go. As someone who generally dislikes using new software, having instructional videos and boards guide me through the process made a significant difference. These features combined make Miro an indispensable tool for both my business and personal planning needs.
