A brilliant tool for unpacking ideas and turning IP into impact

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro exclusively in my 8-hour IP extraction sessions with clients, and it’s become an essential part of how I work. Even clients who’ve never used Miro before love how intuitive it is, and most end up continuing to use it themselves afterwards. It’s visually engaging, highly collaborative, and so easy to customise to whatever process I’m running, whether that’s brainstorming with my team, mapping strategy for my charity, or facilitating workshops and training sessions. I also love how it keeps creativity flowing and ideas visible; it’s the perfect balance of structure and freedom.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only limitation for me is that the free plan, which is restricted to just three boards, can be challenging when I’m working with multiple clients or projects. I’d love to see more flexibility for advocates like me who actively promote the tool in their work. Other than that, Miro consistently delivers on functionality and ease of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before COVID, I delivered all my IP extraction sessions in person, using walls, sticky notes, and physical frameworks to unpack ideas. When I transitioned to working online, I needed a way to replicate that highly visual, collaborative process in a digital space and Miro has done exactly that. It allows me to continue delivering deep, strategic sessions with clients anywhere in the world without losing the creativity, connection, or flow. It’s also opened up new opportunities, making it easier to run workshops, facilitate brainstorming sessions, and collaborate with teams and charities remotely, all while keeping the energy and outcomes just as powerful as they were face-to-face.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how connected it is. It's easy to access across all of my O365 tools. It's also got a lot of functionality so it's easy to use for everything
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. Other than that it isn't free since I do have a "Whiteboard" through Teams for free. But Miro is a better tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It really helps our teams align on ideas. We have a lot of people who are more visual so it's a way to speak multiple languages to get your point across to any audience

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has several very useful functions for creating process diagrams. Additionally, it is also very useful for brainstorming sessions, where meeting members can put their thoughts on post-its.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of Miro is the low memory when you use a free account. That's why we use Miro Premium.

Miro makes process design much easier. Similar tools are also useful for designing processes, but Miro has a faster and more intuitive interface.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Miro to be a great place to collaborate with others. It's easy to set up new workspaces and boards and really make the space your own. I like that they have added a document feature for those times when you need to add in longer text that is formatted.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tables or spreadsheet-like formats do not work well and feel very restrictive. Templates can be a challenge as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration is easier with Miro than other MS apps and it's free form nature allows for endless possibilities.

An absolute saver at my job as Product Manager - But search tools could be a little better

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There's a before and after to working as a Product Manager at my company with Miro. Alignments with architecture and engineering teams, business requirements validations, proposals, research, and discovery phases have become 300% easier and clearer to resolve.

The visual (and written) management capabilities within the boards are excellent.

I use it literally every day at different stages of our process. Plus, nothing is missing: everything we need in terms of frameworks, tools, or elements is readily available.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search tools could be a little more intuitive: searching for specific boards is a little difficult, and searching for elements, or words, within a board generates results that are a little difficult to map and understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me:

- Organize discoveries
- Think better
- Validate and present my proposals
- Discuss and iterate
- Present to stakeholders
- Work on cross-functional dynamics

What do you like best about the product?
As someone who is very visual, I enjoy organizing my ideas using mind maps and often bring in other perspectives through brainstorming. Miro is an excellent tool for doing this in the cloud. Previously, I used local software, but I find it much more convenient and collaborative to work online, as it makes it easier to include participants. The features are impressive, and the platform is both intuitive and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see any inconvenience on this application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to:
Organize my ideas graphically which detonates creativity.
It enables me to collaborate with other people.
It allows me to share y work.
