Love Miro!

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is great for collaborating with others. I use it for all sorts of things such as organizing what works needs to be done by my development team, Which I can do easily with other product managers I work with. I love the comment functionality and they recently added a document feature which is fantastic for note taking and helps it keep it organized.
I use it daily!
What do you dislike about the product?
For me, there isn't a whole lot of downside. The only issue is when other people don't keep their miro boards organized it can become a little chaotic and hard to find things. Not a fault of Miro though, more so the user not keeping things organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They solved the problem of being able to collaborate while being on a fully remote team. We're not in the office with a physical white board and this is an even better replacement because it's all digitized.

Miro is a great tool

What do you like best about the product?
As a QA professional, I've used Miro extensively for test planning, collaboration, and mapping out QA workflows. Overall, it’s a powerful and visually intuitive platform that supports real-time collaboration, which has significantly enhanced our team's efficiency during sprint planning and retrospectives
What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks robust version control or change tracking, which can be a drawback when reviewing historical QA decisions or changes in test plans. Furthermore, it's very confusing setting granular access controls for boards c especially when dealing with external stakeholders or cross-functional teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a QA, I find Miro very effective tool for my team to improve visibility and collaboration across multiple groups and teams.

The Ultimate Collaboration Hub for Remote Teams!

  • May 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The infinite canvas, drag-and-drop simplicity, and ability to see teammates’ cursors moving in real time turns brainstorming, planning, and design sessions into genuinely interactive experiences. It’s the closest thing to being in the same room without actually being there.
What do you dislike about the product?
The permissions interface can be a little clunky, and it sometimes takes extra clicks to get the right access settings—especially when juggling guest access, team access, and edit/view-only roles. It works, but it could be faster and more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of jumping between tools or trying to explain ideas over Slack or Zoom, I can visually map out concepts, workflows, and journeys in real time with my team. Whether I’m wireframing a new feature, diagramming a system, or mapping a customer journey, Miro lets everyone contribute simultaneously. It keeps collaboration fluid and centralized, which saves time, reduces miscommunication, and helps us move faster as a team.

Clean visual, straight functionalities, thought for specific situations

What do you like best about the product?
On my team, we make a great use of Miro specially for mindmaps, but also for sprint retros, and it works just like a charm! With no hassles, entertaining functionalities, and great templates for specific use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when your mindmaps are getting too big it might get a bit complicated to find things, no offline support, support and UX could be better on mobile versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Miro predefined templates, me and my team can go directly to what we are looking for at the moment (e.g. retrospective boards).

Why Miro is My Go-To Tool for Collaboration

  • May 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Miro for a while now, and it's become one of my go-to tools for collaboration. What I love most about Miro is how intuitive it is. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, so you don't spend a lot of time figuring out how to use it.

One of the standout features for me is the variety of templates available. Whether I'm working on a mind map, a flowchart, or even a wireframe, there's always a template that fits my needs. This really speeds up the process and helps me focus on the content rather than the layout.

Real-time collaboration is another big plus. It's amazing to see my team's ideas come to life on the board as we brainstorm together. The sticky notes, comments, and voting features make it easy to gather everyone's input and make decisions quickly.

Miro also integrates well with other tools we use, like Slack and Google Workspace. This makes it a seamless part of our workflow, which is super convenient.

Lastly, the accessibility is a game-changer. I can access Miro from my laptop, tablet, or even my phone, which means I can keep working on ideas no matter where I am.

Overall, Miro has really enhanced our team's creativity and productivity. It's a tool I highly recommend for anyone looking to improve their collaborative efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Miro has many great features, there are a few areas where it could improve. One of the main issues I've encountered is the occasional lag during real-time collaboration sessions. When multiple team members are working on the board simultaneously, it can sometimes slow down, which disrupts the flow of our brainstorming.

Another point of frustration is the learning curve for new users. Although the interface is generally intuitive, some of the more advanced features can be a bit overwhelming at first. It takes time to fully understand and utilize all the tools available, which can be a barrier for new team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves the problem of disjointed communication and lack of visual collaboration tools by providing a centralized platform where teams can brainstorm and organize ideas in real-time. Its integration with other popular tools and accessibility across devices makes it easy to manage remote teams and streamline workflows. This has significantly boosted our team's creativity and productivity, making collaboration smoother and more efficient.

Powerful Visual Collaboration Tool with Room for Better Data Export

  • May 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is my go-to platform for everything from project planning and implementation to scrums and ad hoc analysis. One of its standout features is how quickly I can create wireframes for UIs, templates, or even complex questionnaires—it’s perfect for early-stage design and iterating collaboratively. The intuitive drag-and-drop interface and responsive real-time collaboration make it feel like a true digital whiteboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Miro is excellent for visual collaboration, I do wish it offered more robust data export capabilities. It would be incredibly helpful to extract board content—like tasks, comments, or structures—in a format that’s easy to analyse or import into tools like Power BI. Also, some of the more advanced sharing and permission settings are limited to higher-tier subscriptions, which can be a barrier for smaller teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps consolidate team collaboration, planning, brainstorming, and even wireframing into a single platform. It reduces tool switching and keeps everyone aligned in one shared space, whether we’re working on product design, agile workflows, or quick-turnaround research.

Collaboration and remote teamwork have significantly improved

  • May 09, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I am a Scrum Master, so I work with Miro to collaborate with my team, as well as have the usual Scrum ceremonies and workshops.

The features or capabilities of Miro I have found the most valuable so far are presentation mode, timer, the usual posted notes, and being able to insert images from the internet.

It is important for me and my use cases because my team works in a hybrid environment, so it's not always that we are all together in a room; it's very useful to use Miro online, to collaborate.

I find indispensable for remote team collaboration the posted notes, which we use a lot for retrospectives and sharing thoughts and sentiments.

For brainstorming sessions, I find using templates that are offered by Miro itself very useful, as well as sharing thoughts using Post-its, and breakout rooms; I haven't been able to access breakout rooms, but I have participated in breakout rooms myself, and they are very effective.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features in Miro include presentation mode, timer functionality, posted notes capabilities, and the ability to insert images from the internet.

The templates offered by Miro are particularly useful for brainstorming sessions, along with Post-its functionality and breakout rooms for effective collaboration.

What needs improvement?

One improvement that might enhance my experience with Miro is the zooming in and out feature; when you zoom out, you may find that other sections or parts in the board become a lot smaller, so they're not evenly zoomed in or out, which is my experience.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Miro for the last five years.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

I participated in the initial setup of Miro for my team by setting up the board and subscribing.

The challenges I faced were that it was a new tool altogether, especially at the start of lockdown and COVID; I had never heard of Miro before, but the setup was manageable.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate how stable Miro is overall as a ten; I have never had any issues with it.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate my experience with the scalability of Miro as a nine; I started using it with a personal subscription, but the organization then took it on and I was able to transfer my boards across to the enterprise subscription.

There are approximately two hundred users currently using Miro in my company.

How are customer service and support?

I have never dealt with technical support directly for Miro; our Service Management team has handled that aspect.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before Miro, I used manual Post-it notes and boards for these use cases.

How was the initial setup?

I participated in the initial setup of Miro for my team by setting up the board and subscribing.

I would rate the initial setup of Miro as a seven on a scale from one to ten, with one being difficult and ten being easy to set up.

What about the implementation team?

I participated in the initial setup of Miro for my team by setting up the board and subscribing.

I didn't deploy Miro myself, so I cannot specify how much time it took overall; I just set up the board for my team.

What was our ROI?

I have definitely seen return on investment with Miro, not necessarily in cost-wise terms, but in terms of time savings and connectivity, as well as collaboration; it has been very beneficial.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I don't have visibility of the pricing of Miro, but I know the free personal subscription was really great because it helped us until we got onto the enterprise subscription.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I evaluated another solution before choosing Miro; however, I cannot remember what it was or the specific details as this was five years ago.

What other advice do I have?

I am an end-user of this tool, not an integrator, reseller, or consultant.

I am not sure which version of Miro I am currently working with; I just know updates happen regularly.

Our Service Management team supports the maintenance of Miro, and I usually get one person if I have an issue, so it's quite easy to maintain.

I haven't used any documentation or manuals regarding Miro because I find it quite intuitive.

I would rate Miro overall as a ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
