  • March 14, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its ability to facilitate seamless collaboration among teams regardless of physical location and i also like the platform's intuitive interface which has a ability for real time editing. Overall Miro helps us streamline our team work and bring visual ideas, also its customer support is very quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find a bit challenges about is the learing curves for the new users, sometimes for the very complex diagrams interface feels a bit cluttered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think it eliminates the barriers of physical distance by allowing us to collaborate that too in real time.

Allows me to "empty" my brain!

What do you like best about the product?
Miro gives me the freedom to illustrate what is on my mind. I use Miro about 2h a day on a regular day and often use it all day when I do workshops with people.

It is really easy to use and to share boards with people. It has all of the necessary features for me, in my context. I love the multiple templates that they have. I rarely use them "as is" but it is a very good starting point and allows me to avoid the "white page" syndrom.

I have not had to deal with customer support so I cannot comment, but that actually means a lot to me! It is very straight forward and easy.

Both implementation and integration with other tools is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have anything that I dislike in Miro, not even a little bit. Sometimes I would like more "Shapes" but even if they added a thousand more, I'm sure I would like to have the one they have not made available! LOL !
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving a lot of problems but allowing us to collaborate efficiently when people are remote (virtual) is the biggest problem that it solves.

Miro is my GO TO software to start a project and begin to record ideas.

What do you like best about the product?
It is fast. In literally 10 minutes I can have presentation ready content. I can send links to people (who may never have used MIRO). They also have great resources and learning opportunities. I use if for work, for volunteer activities, I have created fast flow charts for non-profits, documented a congregation's financial structure and procedure...things that usually take a LONG time but are quickly done in MIRO. Also professionally -it is a great design tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
NOTHING. I sometimes need to leave bread crumbs if the content grows and grows....and I bet the tools are baked in if I take a moment to find it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I continue to discover new features. The last one - to record and embed within the board - amazing.

What do you like best about the product?
For me Miro is a game changer for collaboration. Every time I need to start a project that needs inputs from a diverse group of people, Miro is my favorite tool for that. Either for facilitating brainstorms or for putting together flows and roadmaps, it's easy to use and to build together with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the configurations when sharing a board are complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all things about a project at one place

What do you like best about the product?
Miro compared to Visio is 1 million times better and has an easy and intuitive interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ER Diagram is poor. It's not easy make the Database diagram physical model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I generated my diagrams with Visio it was difficult, but with Miro I create diagrams very quickly and with a workspace that goes where I want, not just an A4 sheet.

Miro works the way I my mind works

  • March 12, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Miro since 2019, and I have to say it's one of my favorite products I've ever used. It was extremely intuitive to pick up from the start, and the infinite canvas perfectly pairs with my preferred method of working, where I often need to bring a number of disparate ideas or concepts together to tell a story and figure out a way forward. It's such a flexible and robust platform that I can use it every day, but not every day's work in it must be the same.

Highlights:
- The continual evolution of the Workshopping features have been invaluable. Running remote workshops is incredibly easy with Miro. Timers, voting, and frame hiding tools have made workshops work extremely well.
- As a product manager, I've made use of the story mapping tool many, many times across different products. It's so much easier to use a visual tool like this, that's flexible and allows for quick reorganization as your thoughts about the product adjust, than it is to try and map out a product in something like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Templates. Templates are huge, especially with custom templates. Being able to create something to easily use time and again is a massive accelerator, especially in the consulting space where I work with multiple different clients or new products over time.
- Miroverse and Miro SDK: there are a tons of amazing templates that other creators have put out for public consumption on the Miroverse, which is great if you're looking for a new way to approach something. And the SDK has allowed for some great custom apps built on Miro to further enhance the experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
An infinite canvas does have some limitations. Some boards get too bulky with images and other content, and can slow down. Additionally, limitations on the amount of text in some objects, as well as limited formatting capabilities, inhibits longer form content (or providing extremely detailed requirements in user story cards). Generally, though, these are not issues (and text limits can easily be solved with integrations to things like Google Docs).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are inherently visual creatures. Miro helps in just about every part of the work I do by giving a platform to visualize the work, whether it be research, planning, ideation, or something else. Couple that with the ability to collaborate with others in a visual manner, togther or async, and it truly makes work better. The way we used to work involved a LOT of email, and a lot files back and forth. Versioning was a problem. As was the space all the versions took. Crossed paths of communication. Miro gets rid of all of that.

    Design

An essential remote collaboration tool

What do you like best about the product?
I've used Miro since late 2019, and it became a staple part of our workflow in 2020 once we found ourselves all working from home. As a Creative Director, I've introduced it to multiple companies as a place to review and collaborate across all our work; using client-specific boards for daily design crits, campaign and brand ideation, and workshop templates for brand sprints and brainstorms. We also have Miro linked with Slack, so everyone is aware when updates or comments happen.
What do you dislike about the product?
Client workshops can sometimes be a little slow to start, while everyone gets their head around how to add and comment using post-its, but this is very much dependent on how tech-literate the client is, and how long you put aside to explain the set-up at the start of workshops. Some need longer than others!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro keeps all of our work in one place. The only work that doesn't make its way there is anything from Figma, otherwise it's essentially a huge wall we keep and develop our work and thoughts on.

Great tool to for mind maps

  • March 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most is that I can have extra information on my mind maps and tables, such as examples, definitions, and pictures without having to include them in the main figure. Also the AI feature is very useful for summarising diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes is difficult to change the size the connecting lines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualize my thoughts and define a working path.

Game Changer

  • March 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's an amazing space to keep multiple ideas and references together in one place. You can even go down obscure rabbit holes and drag videos, talk tracks and other media in so that when you come back a week or a month later the idea is not lost, or how you got there. The fact it syncs with so many other platforms and tools is brilliant too, and means I don't need to double job between the board I'm using and the jira ticket I'm working off. The customer support is also excellent, much better than I had anticipated. I started slowly but now I find I'm using miro most days and it has become more central to how I work, because it's flexible enough that I can implement it teh way I want to. The online tutorials are really helpful and mercifully short and straightforward too. I also get a lot of great intel from the online miro community.
What do you dislike about the product?
The zooming in and out took a bit of getting used to but it's second nature now. I haven't cracked the best way to file and save old boards that I'm finished with but may need to refer to in the future. I'm sure there's a simple way, I just haven't made time to research it yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me organise several different trains of thought or creative routes in one space, so that I can more easily see patterns or anomalies in my thinking. Also helps me present ideas in a way that's far clearer to my audience, because I can offer up talk tracks or visual references for the ideas I am describing.
