Miro has become one of our go to tools at STCK

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and control inviting in externals
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really a user of the video conf functionality, i find that Zoom does a better job in combination especially when running remote client workshops
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many and varied, but at the heart of what we are doing is collaborating visually to understand client problems or ideate solutions to solve problems.

Essential business tool for online collaboration with clients, students and stakeholders.

What do you like best about the product?
We started using Miro out of necessity during COVID and now it is an invaluable tool that our business cannot do without. We use it in our UX consulting and training business to collaborate with clients in remote research and design workshops. We also use it to run our UX training courses online. The templates are great but we have also created our own UX templates. The product is affordable and we love that we can lock down particular boards and share them with specific clients or stakeholders without them seeing our other boards. I would highly recommend it as easy to use and affordable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be challenging to use without a mouse if you only have a trackpad on your laptop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote collaboration in a COVID world. But we will now also use to collaborate online even after COVID as our clients are often geographically dispersed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Include some support tips in a text box on boards for new users

Great enabler for online collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
Miro enables our team to collaborate remotely by replicating our physical whiteboard. All our activities can be done and are even improved by the many features available in Miro. Templates are great, voting feature is key. It's really easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area of improvement could be in the organisation of boards, but that's also on us. I just feel because it's easy to create, and possible to have many, everyone in the team creates LOTS of boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're now able to run whiteboard sessions remotely.

Great overall whiteboard app - specially usefull working from home

  • May 03, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Easy user interface.
- Lots of tools and frameworks to use when diagramming
- Ability to collaborate simultaneously with different members on the same board.
What do you dislike about the product?
The role hierarchy is a little confusing in the begging (what is a user, a team, a board). But you eventually get the hang of it.
To collaborate, users must have an account, which is sometimes a barrier when working with someone a first time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basically, having the old famous whiteboard do draw stuff since working from home. With the plus of it never being erased down.
It is also very useful when working alone and you need to diagram or draw architetures.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Although being a very useful platform for online collaboration, the pricing gets a little steep as you add users.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that registered users and unregistered users alike can access the boards I share and want to collaborate on. I also use it for personal ideas and visualizing quick boards and concepts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmmmm, there has been some confusing board ownership and sharing problems I've seen in the past, but I think that has been updated/addressed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workshops, timezone collaboration aided, file management of the projects is easy, interviewing candidates

Miro is the best digital whiteboard, and it changed the way I, we, and my clients work.

  • May 03, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That I can digitally represent my thoughts to others. Regularly I'm talking with someone and pause to say, "let me open a Miro board and show you what I mean." It's made it possible to have far richer communication with my clients/peers because they're able to SEE what I'm thinking, and thus better understand it.

That, and the digital asset that remains after workshops. It's invaluable to have a well-organized, easy-to-edit, and can't-get-lost-in-someone's-desk asset to review long after meetings happen.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Miro made it easier for people who weren't tech-friendly to add things to the board. Also, Miro simply needs to add the ability to create a design system for a board. It's cumbersome to go through and change all colors, fonts, etc. manually—to be able to say "board primary color is #XXXXXX, secondary is #XXXXXXX, H1 text is #####, etc." and then mass edit elements, especially ones that are already "locked" will help Miro compete with Figjam which is quickly going to try to take users.

Also, Miro's dot voting isn't as good as it could and should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All kinds of problems, namely through facilitation. Be it for branding a startup, prioritizing a backlog, creating solutions, planning a year out, or anything else, it's impossible to overstate how valuable it is for people to see ideas visually represented, interacted with, and prioritized. It always sparks conversations, provides insight, and leaves people with clarity & momentum.

We've used it to help clients re-map their organizational structure, determine which features are most lucrative for their audience, creating user profiles, held countless retrospectives via dot voting, sentiment analysis, and more, created end of year presentations, and more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is like a mac, MURAL is like a PC. MURAL may be fine for users, but Miro has clear UX advantages for facilitators. It's far more interesting, dynamic, and peaceful to use. I think that Miro is a great way to become an internal champion of thought. By using Miro yourself, you can create your own canvases, boards, or presentations that will wow your team and leadership. By using edit links, you can get "quick wins" by allowing lots of your team to participate in a workshop without requiring to buy a license. Try it, create something, share it, repeat! You're bound to become an invaluable part of your team with your Miro expertise.

'Smooth meetings'-weapon of choice

  • May 03, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Most helpful about Miro is that its a great place to gather ALL information related to a specific project and be able to structure it in a way that helps my own - and my clients - understanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful about Miro, I would say, is that it is sometimes a bit of an uphill battle for the less tech-savvy to get acquainted with the controls and navigating of the whiteboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started using it to visualize business-related things like our own vision and value mapping. But since I started using it with clients in meetings, I've been able to run more smooth, time-effective meetings (read workshops), and that's been an enormous benefit.

An immersive experience that will revolutionize the learning process

  • May 02, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
A huge set of options, interactive parts, possibility to guide the students through the board, internal navigation, and so on and so on
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes boards with a lot of elements work rather slow despite good internet, they also can be slow for some participants
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main direction of my work is turning the blackboard into a new type of textbook. Previously, it was generally accepted that an electronic textbook is a scanned ordinary textbook in a pdf format (and it is good if the text is readable by a computer for searching and copying, but often it is not!). Miro boards allow you to create a new type of truly digital textbook - interactive, step-by-step, including text, video, tests, a variety of tasks. This is a direction that I am going to work in - to create a really good digital interactive textbook on calculus, complex analysis and geometry.
I believe that this is the future of the textbooks. And what is even more important - every teacher can do a textbook of his own without huge investitions.
Another option that I am working around - some sort of digital museum. I believe that interactive and structured form of Miro board works just great there.

Awesome New Way of Working together with a group people in COVID time and post COVID period as wel

  • May 02, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Working together at same time or on different time to work on creative ideas. Sometimes combined with ZOOM.
After it a vector export what i like so much. It's perfection. Possibilities to copy project. Lot of templates. Cool feature in my opinion would be a Lean symbool template. Or standard vector brownboard background option.
Like the easyness of the enviroment. Browser based is perfect. I love that. Sometimes internet connection disturbing quality of view.
I like interaction between adobe vector SVR format and removed background of infographics. So very nice visual management is estabalished. Select more object to replace is perfect.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want to have same color options for sticky notes and shapes. More possibilities. Also i am not selecting collection line tool and clicking on some point he will automatically make connection line. It disturb me regularly. Price montly i don't like but i need it now so i choose to use it.
Also i want to remove a arrow to select it. Now if i select and move the shape of the arrow changing.
Futhermore can i tell that when dublicate in powerpoint the second time of dublicate will maintain a structure of location of placement of the new object. In PowerPoint i love that and workflow will increase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working together with ease. In busy times in hospitals possibility to go on with quality work. Problems solved are better support base for projects because of involving more people. Visualize complex current and future situations. Making flowcharts with ease, example of the future.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it for free and when productivity is high get subscription. Watch 1 or 2 youtubevideo's of start flow is not there.
