My Experience from Miro

  • July 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has reduced my workload, instead of creating the entire block from scratch, the refined blocks and arrows make my work much easier.

Controlling and aligning the blocks are also pretty simple
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing the arrow block control is a bit challenging, I won't say it is tedious, but this can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The predefined template finished half the work, color adding features to the block diagram, made my diagram visually stunning. !!!

The options of exporting my diagram in different formats helps me to use the same for my own convenience platform.

Virtual and In-Person Collaboration

  • July 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Gives an easy to use virtual whiteboard to visually capture brainstorms, work collaboratively online, and bring projects to life.

Limited experience with competitors. Much better than using a Zoom whiteboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can occasionally be glitchy (e.g. cant add extra sticky notes) and the refresh rate can sometimes be slow. These issues can frustrate people (especially if they are not comfortable using 'technology').
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating process maps and user journeys that the whole team can view and contribute to. Its making it easier for staff to communicate an issues/bottlenecks that they encounter.

I enjoy using Miro in my creative workflow as a brainstorming and blank-canvas workspace.

  • July 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the open-canvas aspect of Miro since it allows me to see all the data in my projects at once. I can spread out my sketches, research, consumer reviews, etc. all in one place, but it's still organized and usable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the text tools and frame tools are a little clunky. It can be difficult to format in exactly the way I want it and it all feels very structured, not quite as free flowing as I'd maybe like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It works as a digital whiteboard for my creative workflow. I have a smaller desk space and as a creative designer I don't have a ton of space to pin up sketches, cad photos, research, etc. This allows me to do it digitally and also present my work in video calls easily and effectively.

A simple tool to map complex thoughts

  • July 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is incredibly user friendly and visually engaging. It allows me as a project management and operations consultant to map complex processes and projects in clean and visually appealing ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have issues with sharing permissions but that's my only real complaint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When Covid hit it posed a new problem for working sessions and agile methodologies and workshops. Miro solved so many pain points and created ways to maintain necessary practices online.

    Graphic Design

My go-to space for organizing/mapping projects!

  • July 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has an array of templates and tools I can choose from. Doesn't matter what project I'm working on, Miro allows me to diagram exactly how I want. It's also easy for others to jump in and make comments, which is important when you're working cross-functional.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve. With so many tools it can be hard to figure out where to find things. Sometimes I end up spending too much time on space and placement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and comprehension. Miro allows me to share processes with internal team members before it's incorporated into our automation. This truly helps everyone understand the layout of a new workflow and is much easier than looking at our systems directly.

Great tool to show and design processes

  • July 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has an intuitive interface and a great selection of templates. I often use it to create diagrams and flowcharts of complex processes. I haven't found any other product with the same capabilities and ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version can be restrictive, only allowing you to create three boards at a time, which all must be shared on everyone in your team. It can also be hard to know exactly which template suits your needs. I've run into issues with broken buttons too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm helping to launch a new program, and we're still ironing out a lot of our processes. Miro makes it easy to map out procedures and responsibility areas in a way that's clear to everyone.

Valuable Collaboration Tool

  • July 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like its flexibility, variety in illustration options and overall collaborative feeling. There's also a lot of integration ability with other apps, such as Teams that work really well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems to be a bit "heavy". By this I mean it seems to take up a lot of system resources...even on a powerful machine. If this could be optimized to run a bit faster, I would use it much more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to lay out projects, ideas and timelines all within a virtually unlimited amount of space, is really appealing. It adds one of the big benefits to meeting in person to our hybrid environment.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What are the bugs in our website that stops people from using it

Go to tool for mind mapping and raw diagrams

  • July 26, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The sync between the desktop application and the iPadOS application. I use Miro in my teaching online and i draw the illustrations on iPad and share the desktop screen with students on Zoom. Works flawlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont think there is anything i can pinpoint as disliked. Apps loading speed can improve, may be using local caching of most used or recently used boards is one way. Miroverse needs more templates and better search function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teaching and collaborating with students online in realtime. I use the iPadOS application with apple pencil as the drawing board, since the sync is flawless it display the changes in soft real time. This way students can see me illustrating things, improving the overall teaching and learning experience.
