Great whiteboard for preparing my language classes

  • November 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro (online whiteboard) helps me to prepare my Brazilian Portuguese classes with fun first of all to myself.
Most of the people do not know that to teach is most of the time a lonely process. You are not always surrounded by people and talking.

As a teacher you do a lot of research, reading, writing and collecting data in order to make our classes more enjoyable for the students and for ourselves in the long run. We also do not want to get bored talking the same way as in the past 10 years!
I got to know MIRO through Google research during the pandemics in May 2021. As I was giving classes with Zoom and Skype, I tried to make it more enjoyable with images and to give structure to my classes.

Now I am going through my papers, because I am moving out, and I see how much we accumulate with papers. Then I am digitizing my documents and class material and I will use some of it with MIRO.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I am not a full-time employed teacher, I cannot afford the premium version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

    E-Learning

Tried many but loved the smoothness & friendly tools . Even my students prefer it than any other.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The copy and paste option. The smoothness, concept maps, templates, the ppt preparation, moving around the board .... It's an excellent magic whiteboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still the tools for math teaching like a compass, ruler, bisector , equation writing options missing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Peer teaching, Assessments, PPt presentation. Sharing, annotation, copy & paste. Hide and tell with sticker, link sharing, locking the slides & history.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please try the friendly collaborative whiteboard platform for teachers and, most importantly, for students. Found it very good in peer teaching, assessments, presentations, reviewing, checking history, disciple, a delegation of tasks, innovative methods for assessments by sharing the links for google forms, the use of sticky notes, chats, feedbacks, the slides sharing, brainstorming and endless whiteboard. I have used other apps, but they do not hold this level of performance.

An open space to think, innovate, and collaborate

  • November 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is an easy-to-use collaboration tool that enables me to think freely. What starts out as unorganized thoughts are quickly arranged into coherent ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike. Even-snap-to-grid spacing was recently introduced so, that pretty much covers it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many times when I need to mock up a quick diagram to provide a visualization of my thoughts. Miro is quick, simple, and effective at sharing the screen and mocking up the diagram in real-time.

Creativity and Tidiness

  • November 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the versatility of Miro. I use it for very different projects and stages during the process. It's great for collecting ideas and developing them into final charts that can be shown to collaborators or customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I would like to expand the zooming-in function. For example, to "hide" things that should be shown later during a presentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easy to visualize complex ideas very quickly which is quite time-saving.

An essential for any company with remote employees

  • November 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think the templates are the best thing as it really inspires you on how to best use the tool
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you grab the whole frame or you try and copy / paste something and you end up doing the whole board
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote async collaboration
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You wont regret it but be patient as its very powerful but takes time to get used to

There is no other collaboration tool i would rather use than Miro - it's so easy and intuitive

  • November 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's honestly the easiest software i've ever had to use and most of our clients can pick it up in minutes. They almost always love it. Even old timers can get to grips quickly
What do you dislike about the product?
There could maybe be a better selection of fonts and other 'clipart' or 'icons'. I also feel there could be more music choice selection for timers along with easier access to gifs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Any workshops, particularly in our ideation space, we use Miro and its brilliant. Having a digital capture of post its is infinitely better than the old approach of a million post-its on a wall.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it, it is infinitely better than Mural and Whiteboard

My meetings are 100x more productive (and fun) with Miro

  • November 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the templates. They've actually taught me new brainstorming techniques and given me ideas on how to run my meetings. Also, the UI is slick, clean and a joy to use. Much prefer it to Mural.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really want a private workspace! I know you can technically make boards private by not sharing them, but I'd prefer a dedicated space for them. Every time I make a board, I'm thinking "is someone going to stumble upon these shitty half-baked ideas by accident?".

Also, I don't love that I have to be redirected to a browser to see all the templates. When I was browsing the template gallery, I almost missed the CTAs at the bottom: "Discover more Miro templates" and "Explore community templates", which made me think you didn't have any more. Basically, I'd like to see all your categories within the template selector, without having to leave the tab.

Lastly, I don't like that you have to type in peoples' emails if I want to give them editing access to the board. I want to be able to give everyone at the company editing access through the "anyone with the link can..." dropdown. Right now, I can only let people comment or view, which is a bit annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don’t just use Miro as a dumping ground for existing ideas—I use it to spark entirely new ideas.
I'm new to running brainstorming sessions, so I rely on Miro's templates to inspire me. I'm confident that my meetings and brainstorming sessions would be way less productive without Miro.
Miro also helps me organize my own thoughts and conjure up new ones. I'm not a designer, I'm a writer, so I always assumed my brain digested words better than shapes. But Miro's easy-breezy interface has opened up a new world of visual brainstorming that's never been accessible to me, a non-visual person with zero design skills.

Miro and my workflow.

  • November 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly organise my stuff and start moodboarding for a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there was a direct way to copy and paste or import videos easily on Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The video issue pertains and a quick grid auto layout system would definitely help. Moreover the pace at which I'm able to work with Miro is really amazing.

Great collaborative tool for remote work

  • November 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows users, particularly non-linear thinking users, to be able to quickly visualize and share their thoughts in a virtual whiteboard. Has more icons and functionality than mural, but the UI stays clean.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I dislike. It would be great if it eventually has an offline mode for working on airplanes though
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brainstorming with colleagues, putting together documents that are not written, creating tech stack maps for sharing and documentation, and for creating user journeys and flows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would use it, it helps with remote work.

Using miro for group dynamics

  • November 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I used miro for a group dynamic to identify what is the role of the QA in the development process. Miro was really easy to use and all the people enjoyed the experience. We could define topics for the roles using post-its and the idea of the meeting become really clear with this action.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found some trouble using that feature where no one can see the names of the other viewers for that meet. But I confess that I have low experience using miro, so probably when I start to use it more I will have no troubles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems solved:
Designing flowcharts to understand how a feature works.
Understand the attributions of someone inside a role in the company.
Understand the flow of an android app.
In the past, used to design mindmaps

Benefits:
Good design
Fine colors
Easy to use
