Suitable for real-time collaboration but a bit costly
What do you like best about the product?
Because of Miro's real-time chatting and video calling features, our team can collaborate and interact in real-time as if they were in the same room as us in our actual office space. It's a fantastic tool for creating mind maps, brainstorming, and various project processes, among other things.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of Miro's pricing plan, which is per user, which is costlier while adding plans per head. Instead, a bulk pricing plan based on each team size would be beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall, Miro has worked well for us as an exceptional solution for collaborative project management within a team working online from home. It, therefore, allows us to improve and debate different new ideas and thoughts constantly.

The best choice for visual collaboration, not everyday tasks or project management
What do you like best about the product?
I always feel amazing using Miro because it is not just a digital whiteboarding tool; instead, it is a fundamental tool for drawing and visualizing almost anything. Another essential part of this tool is that our entire team can work together like they are working in the physical workspace to ideate, plan and manage things in real-time.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to managing daily tasks or an entire project, this program does not match other project management tools in terms of functionality. Furthermore, the formatting and layout options are virtually endless, making building a coherent canvas at times challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The overall experience has been positive. While exploring and utilizing all of its features can be overwhelming at times, we have successfully used it to drive collaboration within our team with an online meeting tool to fluidly whiteboard, precisely as we would have done in a regular office environment.

                            Loving Learning Miro...
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Miro for a few months now, and it's very quickly become my default application for brainstorming, capturing notes while studying, collaboratively drawing up architecture diagrams, online whiteboarding for video calls, and generally sharing plans and ideas.
I love the concept of an infinitely zoomable workspace, so you can see the 30,000-foot view of what you're doing or drill right down into as many details as you like.
Also, the freeform nature is wonderful - I'll often drop a quick Kanban board into the space I'm working on to help get my head around how I'm going to tackle my next challenge.

What do you dislike about the product?
I struggle with keeping my boards consistent in terms of font size and styling - Particularly as my boards grow over time; I find the scale of notes I made early in the process is very different to further down the track.
I need to get better at annotating screenshots within the tool - I have tried using Miro with a drawing tablet but haven't managed to quickly and neatly add handwritten notes.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generally communication of ideas, and also capturing notes while studying - I'm taking several online courses at the moment, and I find it very helpful to grab screenshots, add my notes and comments there. Then I can come back the next day and quickly fly around the board to review my previous learnings.
Using Miro for Architectural views of software projects is a quick way to communicate and collaborate with others in the team.

It’s just a great product
What do you like best about the product?
It seems to always have whatever I need. Easy collaboration for meetings? Check. Easy road mapping? Check. Easy wire framing? Check. It just seems to do everything well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. I really like Miro. It always seems to work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly getting things out of my head into paper

Fantastic for work with some room to grow in personal development
What do you like best about the product?
Templates so that I can quickly start a project. I like the wide-ranging business templates available so that I don't need to sit there and create a template. It helps with team brainstorming sessions and cuts down on the work I have to do before a group meeting. We have used several different boards for different projects where we can just set up a template. Work through the problem, and then come back and pick up where we left off the next time. I would say that I find the template I am looking for about 70% of the time. I think further improving that system would be well worth the time. It's the part of the app where I find the most value.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have several things that I wish would be improved. The first is the line system. There are times when I want to make a hierarchal system and find that I need to have several lines come off of the same object and go into separate objects. A one-to-many sort of approach. It is almost impossible to get this looking clean. I always end up with one line intersection being just higher than another line intersection, or a line coming off an object is just to the left of another line coming off an object. I know it seems like a minor thing. But when I am trying to do a presentation, the details are essential. So I feel like improving the aesthetic of the line system would be helpful.
The other thing that I would like to see improved is the number of templates for personal development. I use miro on my business account for business-related things like Agile planning, refinement, etc. But I also use miro on my personal account for vision boarding, goal setting, habit tracking, etc. I think that there should be some more templates aimed at that. Templates that are for personal development that aren't necessarily associated with business objectives directly. That would take miro to the next level for me and keep me from potentially looking for other solutions like milanote and figma that do have some of those capabilities.
The final thing that I'd like to see. Miro can sometimes get a bit laggy when many people are working on the board at once. This is something that I don't see when I am doing a Figjam in Figma. As an engineer, I know how difficult to optimize that can be, but I'd love to see miro be a little more fluid with a lot of people moving a lot of objects simultaneously.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company is one hundred percent remote. I always have been, probably always will be. Miro has helped us solve the issue of not being able to sit down in front of a whiteboard and think through a solution. It has allowed us to collaborate quickly and work through different solutions until we find the one that works best for us. It has allowed us to rapidly work through a solution and develop ideas to implement that solution.
I also use it personally to help connect ideas and capture all the information about a project in one place. It's nice to put my own objects together and then use the features like sticky notes and arrows to add notes and connections. It helps me visualize the complexities of a project and string together all the dependencies that are needed to move a project forward.
For my own personal development, it helps to sort out my goals and keep track of them. I can come up with many different ways to track all the personal growth challenges that I have and keep track of them. It is as flexible as I want it to be in that regard.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd say to pick a template for a project you are working on and work through that. That is probably going to be your best bet on figuring out if Miro is best for you. Once you have one board filled out, you will know the value proposition of Miro.

10/10 for Miro - mapping lifesaver!
What do you like best about the product?
I found Miro while looking for a platform that could help me map and organize a detailed email journey while collaborating with other people on my team. I was blown away by Miro from a capability side and its ease of use. Miro allowed us to work more effectively and efficiently without a doubt. Since then, others on our team have also tried it out and have had great success.
Also, as a skeptic to taking on new platforms, I really appreciated having so many features available through the 'Free' version. It allowed me to get used to the platform and feel confident in scaling up.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the highlight-to-select features can be finicky.
When I had a question about scaling up our plan and was debating month-to-month vs a year subscription, the Sales Rep insisted I get on a call (which wasn't a good use of my time given my question) and tried to get me to purchase far more than I explained needed. Felt like a pushed upsell.

                            Miro Helps Your Business Communicate
What do you like best about the product?
Preparing presentations can be a challenging task, but Miro's tools have made it easier for me to get organized and get my point across. It offers a variety of templates that are both practical and professional, which is helpful for the team. The software is user-friendly and great for collaborating with coworkers. This has made it easier to share information with our internal customers faster and with more accuracy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The formatting is very difficult. You have to manually type the bullets and number the lists. As a result, I bought two licenses instead of one even though it's overkill.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work from home sometimes and need a way to manage team meetings. My document includes my notes from past team meetings, project management, and more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Collaborative boards are great tools for team members to work on. If you've never tried them, you should do so, and this guest access will help you understand what's going on.

                            Indispensable tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love the versatility and the easiness of the tool. Everything you want to do, you can. And with people with low tech skills I had no problem at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think for now everything is good and I have no complains. Maybe that the free option doesn't let anonymous accounts to edit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to create visual maps and to do activities to boost creative thinking skills
Recommendations to others considering the product:

                            The right balance
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a great tool. What I like most about this type of tool is its the ease of use coupled with a smart feedback mechanism that has no visual excess. They have found the right balance to keeps its users focused on the task at hand with keyboard shortcuts, no information overload, or any clutter. It results in a great user experience that makes the learning curve almost instant.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would have to say the free trial. Even though the Miro team offers us three free drafts to work on, I found it pretty limiting, especially in this time of Covid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro as a whiteboard to help me create/solve complex user flows quickly. Thank’s to its draggable elements, it is effortless for me to pivot my ideas around the problem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As the name says, it is an excellent digital whiteboard with many different templates that will help the users get started.
