White boarding tool that you can access from anywhere
What do you like best about the product?
The significant upside of Miro is the ability to quickly onboard multiple team members and collaborate into its carefully designed digital whiteboard either from scratch or by simply selecting from hundreds of pre-built templates. Another benefit is that it has an inbuilt real-time video communication feature that aids in better team productivity. Additionally, it supports cross-platform, which means it is accessible from almost all internet devices and operating systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The primary issue that I faced while using Miro is that I cannot seamlessly download the designs, diagrams, and visuals into printable pdf format; instead, I need to capture a frame and partially download it all the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While working from home, Miro has found to be an excellent visual-based team collaboration tool that keeps everyone on the same page, increases team efficiency, and produces better work outputs. This tool has been a fantastic way to create a proof of concept of any ideas or solutions.
Not bad! Great for remote collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Miro has made it really easy to have whiteboarding sessions with other remote coworkers when working through an issue
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the clicking around was a little more intuitive, ie having key strokes or automatically turning on the selector tool right from teh get go. I also wish shapes prompted you to lock them in place once youve finished moving them around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In Project Management we need to do a lot of remote project discoveries, release planning and work estimation - miro has made that really easy
Spectacular Remote Work Opportunities
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to organize our ideas together live. It has helped us so much throughout the pandemic and increased our productivity. It was so useful that I proposed it to my workplace for use in that context and we now use it and love it.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest issue with miro is that it causes my computer to lag pretty intensely. This is especially a problem if we have a lot of data on our board or if there are a lot of people on the board at once. It sometimes gets to the point where I have to reload the webpage multiple times or sometimes wait for people in my group to stop moving things around so much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do a lot of mind mapping and compile a lot of our research notes in miro. We use miro for primarily research purposes but it also can be a great tool for note-taking or for brainstorming sessions.
Miro promotes collaboration in a fun way
What do you like best about the product?
I like That Miro was able to transfer the f2f experience to a virtual environment in a very efficient way.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some tricks you need to get used to, so you can get the best out of it—example: How to select many objects at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Miro to conduct deep dives and also for process mapping. When comparing to the f2f world, the data analysis stage gains speed and efficiency.
Great virtual collaboration tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Infinite size of board and ease of moving around. I don't have to know at the beginning of a project, what I might need later.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of my invitees are a little reluctant to post on the board, learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a consultant and am using boards with my clients to collaborate on their needs, potential solutions. I am also using it to provide training materials.
We feel like we are working in person
What do you like best about the product?
We are using Miro throughout our company, from brainstorming to project planning. It serves as a repository for all of our ideals, studies, and insights. The most significant upside is that it allows us to collaborate more creatively within a team and also enables us more easily access the work of proximity teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the downsides of Miro include its navigation part, which is not relatively straightforward and can be much more confusing for the new users; also, the screen needs to be zoomed in frequently to read specific texts and diagrams. Furthermore, it is pretty challenging to keep track of all the different boards we have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All in all, Miro has become a virtual whiteboard that lets our entire team jump into and collaborate, brainstorm, and work on ideas, concepts, and plans. We feel like we are working physically in person due to its remarkable real-time collaboration and communication facility.
Feature rich yet intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
I rarely say "feature-rich" because it usually means bloated, but in this case I think you can get away with using the simple features and just skip the more advanced ones if you don't need them. There are not many constraints and allowing users to do do whatever, like just add post-its to a blank background without first creating a canvas is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit unfocused with all the features presented flat. Even though you know exactly which features are mostly used (probably post-its?) that icon is just one of many. In essense it's a lack of prioritization and focus, the same trap that editors like Photoshop falls into.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been using it to share and co-create ideas as well as presenting stuff. The hands on nature makes it easy for other people to just add text och group items and when presenting the non linear and not so polished nature of Miro makes it faster and more intuitive to present. Much like when using a whiteboard.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test out the different templates to get an overview of what you can do in Miro, just clicking the icons in the toolbar doesn't tie the features together like the templates do.
Collaborate seamlessly even during the pandemic
What do you like best about the product?
The most delicate thing about Miro is that it allows your entire team members to collaborate effectively from anywhere. Furthermore, I enjoy the freedom and real-time user experience it provides, making it feel like we were doing this on a round table. It also ensures that the accomplishment is visible continuously and available to all the collaborators, regardless of location.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro primarily focuses on better collaboration among the virtual team, so it has an inbuilt video chatting feature. However, it is quite limited in terms of the breadth of functionalities it provides, such as it does not have any option to record the session for later as a reference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro enables us to schedule, coordinate, decide things, share ideas, strategize, and do a lot more with ease. We finally have a planning tool that our entire team can use together while working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A digital whiteboard where your entire team can work together
What do you like best about the product?
For me, Miro addresses my needs widely. Being an internet collaboration application, it is helpful for various virtual teamwork such as data analysis, conceptualization, creating customer journeys and user story maps, mind maps, user research, and a variety of other visually understandable projects. Also, it is possible to chat and share comments with collaborators in real-time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Collaborators who have never used Miro before may require some assistance navigating their way around the platform. Because Miro has many features, it does need some learning time to become familiar with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has become an excellent way for me to plan things, share them with team members, refine them and finalize them all online during this ongoing Pandemic situation, which is a huge benefit that I have realized from using it. It has also become an excellent way for me to collaborate with others without meeting in person, which is another huge benefit that I have realized from using Miro.
Very good collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
The features, especially the voting and timer
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothin in Miro is difficult; therefore, I could not think of anything I dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it a collaboration tool.
