Miro's Virtual Online Collaboration Tool - Even Better Than Collaborating in Person
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the contents can be exported/imported using Excel or CSV. In-person collaboration with stickies? Can't do that. This is an improvement!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure why some users are appearing as Guest users when I've sent them invites. I need to follow up and find out if they are using the wrong link or something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Global, remote teams who need to collaborate and brainstorm regularly benefit from this tool incredibly!
Rocket fuel for your innovation sessions
What do you like best about the product?
Infinite canvas is one of the big things to prevent you from being stressed about the upfront organization of your work.
Frames are the second preferred thing, combined with presentation mode, which allows you to break out of your PowerPoint world and be fully transparent and collaborative.

What do you dislike about the product?
Selection mode. As you layer objects on top of each other, the double-click function to create new elements does not work as you select the existing things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Any meeting I have is happening now in MIRO. It helps me create meeting minutes that can be added to by the meeting participants, allow to jointly and real-time conduct user research and record the insights, off-sync build stories and refine the presentations.
An excellent tool for online collaboration and solo sensemaking
What do you like best about the product?
My favourite use of Miro is having a blank canvas to capture my thoughts and create diagrams to then share and discuss.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zoom is so annoying, you never know if you're at the correct resolution,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping deliver joined-up Healthcare through modern technology products, Miro helps explore use cases and visualise and solve problems.

What do you dislike about the product?

Miro is user friendly and encourages collaboration.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the templates and use them a lot. It makes my life so easy, and I don't need to think about how I should start with e.g. brainstorming or customer journey mapping exercise. Another thing I like about Miro is it is user-friendly and took me an hour to learn and start using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I start Miro and see the project list, that is confusing to me. I don't want to see all those projects, which means nothing to me. I like the card view of All Boards I created, but it would be great to see the actual snippet of what it contains instead of a generic grey icon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to bring my team together to think on a particular use case of customer journey exercise. It is easy to share with people, and I can see how they add things to it. I work remotely, so this tool helps me quickly gather thoughts from the team as I can't do whiteboarding. Miro is a good starting point for any project and makes people comfortable quickly to start collaborating. I work with engineers, and they are reluctant to draw or write something on the board. With Miro, I have seen people are comfortable to begin drawing and writing. This tool encourages collaboration.
Amazing tool for working across the organisation
What do you like best about the product?
We started using Miro within our Product team for workshopping and collaboration (we're a remote first company).
Its such an easy to use tool that we're now using it across the organizations for all sorts of purposes.
They keep adding decent new features regularly and Miroverse is a great new addition for inspiration.

What do you dislike about the product?
The organizations of boards is a little clunky and could be better. As our usage has grown, thats becoming a small inconvenience!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a remote first team (even pre-pandemic) with colleagues across all timezones its given us a platform to work together and asynchronously in a free form manner.
The unstructured nature of it encourages creative thinking over a spreadsheet or doc.

If you are looking for better ways to collaborate you can't go too far wrong with Miro. Even in person workshops get documented in Miro for transparency and visibility.
Perfect tool - easy to use - many ways
What do you like best about the product?
miro is an extremely easy tool to use. it can be used for many purposes and functions. in our case we started using miro to replace the classic whiteboard during the covid period.
later we started to use miro also to design diagrams related to customer jorney and customer interactions with our points of contact. one of the advantages of miro in my opinion is the possibility to interact "really" in real time. the whole team can enter comments and modify the whiteboard in a very collaborative way.

What do you dislike about the product?
As i wrote in the title the tool is perfect. rarely happened to find a platform so well made.
If i really have to point out some aspects that could be improved: 1) with the free plan you can only have three private boards. this is actually a pretty strict limit, but it is still acceptable considering that it is the free version. maybe you could think of giving a trial period during which these limits are not there.
2) It would be nice if you could start a video call directly from miro or if you could use it with MS teams or Google meet. I saw that an integration with zoom was recently released. It would be helpful to replicate what was done with Zoom with teams and G meet as well.
3) maybe it could be useful to introduce a versioning of the whiteboard to keep track of changes made. so you could recover an element maybe deleted by mistake.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started using miro to replace the "old" whiteboard during the covid period.
After that, we also used it as a brainstorming tool to gather ideas, to work on the customer journey. Extremely convenient is also the lack of extension limits of the whiteboard. this allows those who have the free plan to be able to create very large whiteboards and thus manage the limit of 3 editable boards.
With Miro today we have a tool that simplifies and speeds up a lot of our work. We will no longer be able to work without Miro.
The tool is also very useful because it allows us to share the board with external guests, limiting their ability to modify the content.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a tool to replace the classic whiteboard Miro is for you, but it also does much more.
It lets you have an infinite white space in which you can make diagrams, draw flows, insert tables, screenshots and images, insert icons and many other useful objects to do the work you're doing clearer.

Makes workshop facilitation and presentations a breeze
What do you like best about the product?
As a UX Designer, Miro has enabled me to get my ideas down quickly, group my relevant findings and wireframing. From there, I can then organize the information, add a bit of design and be ready to present or share with our team or organization.
I've found it a great tool to collaborate with other departments and run workshops, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and collect their input. The great thing is that your boards can continually be accessed. So, if anyone has that moment of inspiration they can go back to it and add their thoughts and ideas.
Having the timer feature, and ability to bring eveyone to your screen, as well as the wide range of templates and design tools that help format your information, all these things help me to save time and create a great experience for presenting, workshops or just thrashing out ideas with the team.

What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps the ability to change icon colours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining process mostly, getting quicker feedback on design decisions and information structure. We very much work in an agile way, so miro helps us with communicating and getting much-needed input at each stage of our process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've found it great for workshops, presentations, organizing, and creativity. Try it out, you'll love it.
