Miro is great for collaborating with people across different geographies, particularly for brainstorming, mind mapping process mapping exercises. It is an easy to use and very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
It cannot be accessed when you are not connected to the internet. It is also hard to navigate and zoom in on sections of the board, particuarly when using small devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conducting & facilitating process mapping and brainstorming sessions where attendees are spread across different countries and being able to colloborate with them

Miro for Grad students

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Visualization!
There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's very easy to see what I'm trying to brainstorm using different functions that miro has.
It's much easier to look at compared to some of the other brainstorming programs
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve.
It definately took me a while (a week-ish?) to get used to the program. It's not a get it and use it type of program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
brainstorming in general for grad papers

Miro has transformed digital collaboration at my company

  • October 10, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has been great for digital collaboration, especially in remote and hybrid environments. Being able to have boards to put all of your artifacts in one place has really helped speed up collaboration and work at my company.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard for people to wrap their heads around the license structure, permission structure, and sharing of boards. I would say that is the only hurdle I have seen folks at my company struggle with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of having a SharePoint folder for a plethora of project artifacts, we now put them all on one Miro board and you can see everything all in the same place. Plus, being able to design journey maps in a cloud-based solution has really helped people embrace the usage of journey maps in general at my company because they are so easy to view.

Miro, the best place to brainstorm ideas!

  • October 10, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of features that work together while still being very eye pleasing and uncluttered. You can quickly put a ton of ideas together in 1 place with your team and vote on which you think would work better and which not. Add comments if needed, and do so much more. Again, a ton of valuable features, but it is still eye-pleasing.
Besides the profesional way of using Miro. You can also use it to have some fun during breaks. We made a 'google image war' and it really made our whole team engage and bond together even more. This also showed us how easy it is to copy an image from your computer, browser, or any other place and then paste it into the miro board without any problem. When you have an image or other prop from Miro itself on your board it's also very easy to copy them and drag them to other places over and over again.
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding a specific tool or feature might be hard because they are tucked away or you forgot how to use them. Usually, you'll find it back rather fast. Other than that, I don't have any dislikes!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It offers us great ways to brainstorm ideas and think of other ways to implement ideas. It saves us a lot of time that we can then put into actually designing and creating our ideas rather than going to the sketchbook repeatedly because we didn't brainstorm well enough. Miro's tools give an easy way to put the ideas together and then vote or comment on those ideas. And as I said in the first question, it made our team bond more and work better, faster and more efficiently

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The online whiteboard enables to collaborate with colleagues across departments and brainstorm over a common interest.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not a deal breaker but sometimes we run out of space while writing our ideas on the whiteboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I am away if somebody edits I get the option Highlight changes, that is helping me alot.

Miro is an excellent vehicle to collaboration and presentation

  • October 10, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro became my new normal for this collaborative work, especially after the pandemic, since commuting is not always possible, and also in my case when I’m a student and also an employee working with people all around the world, where is not only difficult but impossible to meet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the uploading limit for certain files is a little unsatisfying, also de ability of not being able to create a meeting from miro could be something to improve or think about implementing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The principal is the ease of integration with since it really makes it easier to meet, integrate and collaborate with others, even when they are not too well managed with technology. It’s so accessible and easy to handle and also it keeps all information saved to go back and re-check things.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborate between business, design and development in a remote setting

    Airlines/Aviation

allows high quality online collaboration for large groups

  • October 10, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its easy to set up different areas for sub-groups to work in, while keeping the whole in sight. The voting function works quickly and efficiently- a real time saver. The wide variety of templates, and ease of use of post-its and stickers encourage both experienced facilitators and first-time users to interact more creatively.
What do you dislike about the product?
The workflow of reinstating "frozen" licenses and granting board access is neither quick nor smooth. Also, locking of multiple objects needs to be simplified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been using Miro boards to support work sessions for 30 - 250 people. The Miro setup helps large groups work with more visibility, transparency, findability of information, better dependency management, ability to spot patterns earlier, allowing more connection and fun.
