A great tool to collaborate, inspire, and create
What do you like best about the product?
Miro has thought of nearly every possible brainstorming 'tool' to apply to a board - sticky notes, voting buttons, integrated timers and music, other misc. graphics, templates, and more
What do you dislike about the product?
The security is lacking a bit for business. Public link sharing is a great option to collaborate easily, quickly and openly. However it puts the burden of security and data privacy on the business since there are limited checks and protections Miro offers as part of the software and sharing settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HR Policy planning, request workflow using ServiceNow for specific application requests.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to clear data and privacy concerns with the business' InfoSec group before proceeding with plan to use the product.
A very flexible and collaborative tool
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility to design clear visual items, add post-its, and so on. And it is fun (easy to add images, colors,...)!
It is very easy to use, to navigate in the virtual workspace, by swiping and by zooming in and out.
There are a few useful feature like a timer, a feature to bring everyone's screen to the same location of the virtual workspace (very useful when you get lost).
It is also possible to define the landing page for collaborators to automatically arrive where you want in the board (e.g. an "introduction" space).

What do you dislike about the product?
It is an additional tool that comes on top of other tools like OneNote, Teams' whiteboard,... but its features are worth it.
I regularly accidentally moving an object without meaning to, sometimes without noticing what I did.
The downside of the number of features is that it can feel a it overwhelming. It takes a little bit of learning time to know where the useful features are.

It allows collaborating in real-time on a same visual a little like we would at an in-person meeting.
For example, as participants you can put up your photos with a bit of presentation. This point is even better than in-person meetings where it can be challenging to remember everyone's name and their info, whereas on Miro, you can go back there and look at the photos/names/presentations.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a tool to help compensate the distance between collaborators, especially in this time of WFH and lockdowns, Miro could be the tool to help create proximity for real-time collaborative work.
Miro Review
What do you like best about the product?
Very strong graphically - very easy to use - Ability for brainstorming sessions - Quick presentation making - Keen, passionate team, ready to help
What do you dislike about the product?
The shapes are limited and are not customizable (cannot add nodes and edit them)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All project team members are on one board, brainstorming. Especially during the pandemic, Miro gave us the opportunity for group discussion about design and pin-ups.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is an amazing collaborative whiteboard that lets team members connect and also has the ability for brainstorming and making presentations quickly and intuitively.
Easy to use, constantly being updated and good support and community
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to learn and use but not lacking features. Integration with tons of apps make it even more powerfull.
The large community and shared templates provide with inspiration and tons of examples to quicky start a new project
Free account also provides enough features for small and ocasional users.
Very good performe either in the webapp and windows aplication.
Smarter than most other option, with the formating and default option being intuitive and easy to use.
exporting is also great, the only improvement would be to sort stick notes by color when exporting to excel.
tables are great and also easy to manipulate and timers are very usefull.
Voting works well, but still could be improved
Mindmapping i also usefull in some situation and is very capable.
overall very happy with my consultant plan. tons of options for a good price

What do you dislike about the product?
As a consultant working with clients and organizing large workhop I miss the fact that there is no "god option" so you block the canvas and everyone just sees what you see, you can still bring people to your "screen" but they can still go off and get lost in the canvas.
One option to temporary block the canvas and make everyone follow you would be a great add to the presentation mode
blocking elements on the canvas is still a cumbersome process especially if you have a lot of elements. would be nice to have a filter to select all the stick notes or all the non editable elements for examples. also i feel that it would be easier to have a layer approach instead of elements.
Videochat works good but still no option for rooms creation

The best digital whiteboarding tool imho
What do you like best about the product?
Pretty much anything is possible with Miro, and there are TONS of integrations. I host multi-company workshops on Miro regularly with up to 100 participants and have never had performance issues or issues with board access. I love how quick and easy it is to link in websites (with previews now) or paste in external images and even extract PDF docs. Actually, I don't think I've ever had a problem with a file type being supported on the board. It's also easy to make the boards look beautiful with user-friendly design tools. Miro makes me feel like a designer (even though I have no background in this), plus it's just fun to work with!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of all the amazing features and integrations is that, as with any tool that can do SO much, it can lead to some confusion for those unfamiliar with the board when they first come in and start trying things out. Usually, I have to really simplify my external workshops so that the only task of the participants is to write sticky notes and paste them in pre-made areas. Also something that drove me crazy originally is how tedious it can be to lock all elements of the board separately or even as grouped items. You don't want external users messing with background pieces when they interact on the board (or just accidentally move something or delete something without seeing). Especially when you have complex boards with lots of group areas for many different participants, you have to copy and paste a lot of grouped objects and continually lock things separately each time, which is a bit annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem Solved: Digital collaboration with large groups from different companies and creating an interactive space.
Benefits: Giving a lot of creative space to large groups to co-create and crowdsource, and getting to see more ideas from people who might not speak up as much if it were an in-person meeting/setting.

Using this for 6 months, great upgrade even if already experienced remote facilitator
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, I use so many of the features of the tool that it's hard to pinpoint what I enjoy the most. I can tell a lot of thought has gone in making the UI extremely functional. The shortcuts, how the canvas dragging feels, even the copy and pasting, the "bring all to me", etc. It's all so intuitive.
I like to build on other's ideas when designing and preparing a workshop. For this purpose I really enjoy having access to the Miroverse. I will also start proposing soon my own templates that I've created.
One of the cool things I've started to do lately, is replace Powerpoint with Miro. Meaninig that when I have to share content, I create it directly in Miro. And have a combination of screensharing and inviting participants directly to the board. It was worked great.

What do you dislike about the product?
This are a so many new features coming all the time, so maybe it would be useful for me to understand the development roadmap of the tool. Even in these short 6months I've felt that I've had to make sure to keep up with new features to be able to use them all.
I use the windows app, and as it works like a browser, I would enjoy dragging and moving the order of the tabs. I use several of them at the time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am an experienced trainer and facilitator working comfortably remote way before the pandemic lockdown started. I ran fun and cool workshops with Microsoft Whiteboard, so imagine the seismic shift when I switched over to Miro!
As an Agile Coach, the main things I do with Miro are workshops related to team coaching. Topics range from working wit the product development backlog, team dynamics, challenges, etc.

Collaborators best friend
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most is introducing new people to Miro when collaborating on a project. At the end of every workshop we ask for feedback from our clients and they usually respond with something like "loved the platform" or "great collaboration tool". Miro adds value to our projects simply by just being the great platform it is. I also love the fact that you can send clients small, digestible videos straight from Miro Academy to help orient new users to the platform before even starting your project. The videos from Miro academy is very professional so you can feel confident that it will create a good impression with your clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only feedback I have at this point is the bigger the board gets, the slower the program. Sometimes when you have a large board the elements takes quite a while to load when starting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a Design Thinking movement so it helps to organize a very complex and iterative process in a way that makes sense to all. Once you fully get to know the ins and outs of the platform you WANT to document every element of your project, simply because it is so easy and because it visually shows the hard work that has been done.

Have a look at Miro Academy- they have amazing resources.
Extremely useful & versatile brainstorming software 💪🏻
What do you like best about the product?
So many different options, possibilities, templates, ... to be used to address so many different types of business situations
Also totally FREE as 'single use' allowing newcomers to really dive into it & use it for personal use.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not sure I've gotten there yet ;-)
Perhaps the only thing is that there's sooo many types & templates to use that it's sometimes difficult to figure out which one would be best for what you're trying to achieve. But that's merely a 'luxury problem' ;-)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently using it (by myself) to work out a completely new business concept. Once we will start with the development of this new concept, will DEFINITELY be switching to multi-user to involve the (initially external) developers & the team to further brainstorm & work out the more fine details of certain aspects.
But Miro REALLY helps in visualizing all of this!

Excellent tool for brainstorming and planning
What do you like best about the product?
There are no limits - both in space and things you can do. There are countless templates that really help when I have no idea where to start.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes it's difficult to switch between the navigation modes. I would also like the option to push multiple stickes to Jira using the integration, and not have to do it one by one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
my team is working from home and brainstorming was very difficult for us. with Miro we are more cooperative and are able to share ideas and track them more easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Excellent tool, I would recommend to anyone.
Miro and you working together

The possibility of working with others at the same time, sharing important information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limit for entering information and have to pay.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Work with other teams at the same time, having a complete exchange of information and insights.
