Whiteboarding virtually with Miro is better than whiteboarding in person.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how it creates a hive mind between our team. I love how easy it is to copy and paste screenshots. I really enjoy the icon finder to help with visual storytelling. I love all of the user generated template content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to add images or files to my clipboard is annoying. (Copy and paste images/files out of one of my boards to my clipboard to use somewhere else)
I know you can download it but it adds a lot of steps and isn't the best UX for me.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly the worshipping that we would be doing in person as a team can be done virtually.
We use it a lot to collaborate on the fly when designing websites/experiences.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your team has ever used a whiteboard, you'll like Miro.
Has taken me to a new level in internal project planning, realization & external client interaction
What do you like best about the product?
Numerous ways to express yourself, including the various templates
What do you dislike about the product?
I would appreciate a few more formatting options (similar to the Microsoft applications)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning and managing my projects, specifically if those are complex and run over a longer period
External client interaction/presentation, including workshops

I use it for college, for job and personal use, it's perfect!
What do you like best about the product?
The variety of templates and the infinete canvas
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I can't save my frame as jpg or when I use someone's board I can't block a element, so I can't move the elements in front of the background.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use to create projects to my college, manage my business and develop a Startup to help students across the world
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The blog is very useful to learn how to use the templates
Great tool for collaboration and workshops
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Miro is that I can you it for different purposes - I use it to think about some ideas on my own, to brainstorm with my team, to do a presentation and a workshop. I can keep all my ideas in one place and share them when I need it.
The other thing I like is a collection of templates that I can use for my workshop. Usually, I can find a template that I need and the library is still growing.
And of course, the neverending board is great as I don't need to worry about the space and size of my objects and I can focus on my current work.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's all good. There are only two things that would make it better for me:
1) the unsorted boards - so that I can find the boards that do not belong to any folder
2) board covers - Miro used to have automated covers with the content of the board and I liked it. Now they are all blank and I do not want to bother and chose the right pictures for them

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I often teach people and do workshops. These are the main cases when I use Miro. I use it both as presentation slides and for activities. My students enjoy working with Miro and become more engaged in learning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have started to use Miro with its free plan and it was then when I realized that I can use it for my business. So using it for free gives the taste of the platform.
Great for ideation!
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility in the software to create things you can't in any other software quickly
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't quite figured out the complete functionality yet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating work breakdown structures and having the space to do so.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Amazing for getting thoughts out of people's heads and down onto digital paper
Easy, more intuitive way to get organized
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Miro is the visual aspect and the ability to create and easily understand steps all laid out on one board. Miro works like my brain works, instead of forcing my brain to work in a way that is not natural or intuitive. The templates are also excellent! Miro provides creative templates that are super helpful that I wouldn't have come up with by myself but definitely make the work flow way better.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to drink the kool aide. Team members who don't 'have time' or 'want to' learn a new software program cannot collaborate and add value. Although my work is much better, easier and more fun for me, I still have to make old school lists if I want to work with others who don't use Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying more organized. Plus I can more easily see and anticipate obstacles before they happen with a Miro board.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the extra time you need in the beginning to learn the program. It'll save so much time later on!
Excellent tool for cross-functional collaboration!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that miro is the ultimate app for collaborating with multiple teams. The days of individually editing separate documents and sending them to colleagues are over. Everyone can work simultaneously and contribute to production in realtime.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to delete boards. For example, even the admins can't delete empty "My First" boards or boards that are no longer needed. They must be deleted by the person that created the board and if that person is no longer with the company nothing can be done about it. In the end, it creates a lot of unnecessary clutter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our collaboration as a team, as well as our collaboration in multiple departments has increased exponentially and meetings have become more productive and inclusive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you work within a team based environment, get Miro. Once you do, you might find yourself reminiscing about the before times and wonder how you made it this far without it.
Amazing tool for remote brainstorming sessions!
What do you like best about the product?
Post-its, creating diagrams, and team collaboration. It's a perfect substitution for brainstorming sessions or workshop meetings for remote working. I love seeing the cursors of others. It gives a feeling of closer collaboration than just video conferences.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are technical problems while typing or moving things around. That often interrupted my working flow and becomes annoying when it happens many times within one session.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think the main benefits are remote collaboration and going paperless for sessions that you'd use plenty of post-it notes. On the other hand, having ready templates makes it easier and faster to work on different kinds of tasks.
We'll want to continue using Miro even when we're back in the office.
What do you like best about the product?
It's a fantastic way to create mood boards, have discussions, workshops, problem-solving, etc. Honestly, it's been such an amazing tool during the pandemic and working from home. So much that we've already discussed, we'll probably continue using Miro when we're back in the office (although that itself might be a little bit of a challenge since we're not sure if we'll just have to huddle around one person's monitor.) The best part of this is that you can create, edit, delete parts as you go without worrying about running out of post-it notes!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there are any significant downsides to Miro. It's a very polished tool - we haven't run into any bugs nor downtimes. It's always been up and running. I've submitted a few minor improvements, such as the ability to assign more than 1 person to the 'task' card feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used Miro both as workshops to kick off projects but also as discussions for the overall team structure and working process. I think it has helped us improve ourselves in those areas. It's a lot easier to pick a project back up without having to look through scribbled notes.
Great tool for UxR analysis and collaborative work
What do you like best about the product?
The easiness of use, the customization of all the elements (colours, shapes, arrows, etc.), nice visual. The easiness of use, the customization of all the elements (colours, shapes etc.), nice visual .
What do you dislike about the product?
Tag feature is not very helpful as there is no way to sort or filter by tags and basically not very helpful just search by tags and not being able to play with them (would use google spreadsheet for tagging or coding info).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I conduct an analysis for a UX research project using Miro, it's very helpful as it looks clear and easy for stakeholders and it's convenient to map and play with data points we have from our studies. Besides, it's very helpful to work on analysis or workshop collaboratively with other team members.
