Remote collaboration game changer

  • June 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
If you're used to Sketch or Figma this will feel very intuitive. It's amazing how easy it is to co-create and later clean up your content.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I first started, I was on a personal account and couldn't see all projects. I had to be added to a corporate account to see all projects created in the team. This was a bit confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro allows us to very quickly mock up and explore ideas just like we'd do in the office in front of a whiteboard. Remote collaboration becomes more manageable, and it's intuitive enough for anyone to join in.

Great platform for teaching and online student collaboration

  • June 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think the greatest part of it its the ability to bring people from different locations to work together to share ideas and collaborate. Alos love the different templates and emojies
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular. Sometimes the templates tend to run about (when not being locked in) and especially with persons who are new to the platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly teaching online. Getting students to work together. Its a great way to get students work on a common subject/project

Product development, research, team collaboration and protoyping

It's a game-changing tool

  • June 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It gives almost the same experience to work with a team on the boards in real-time (as it went offline when we all were in the same office). Miro has a user-friendly design, and it works well on desktop and mobiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as well-spread as it could be; it would also be great if Miro would be integrated into more collaborative solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for brainstorming and trendwatching sessions for distributed teams.
Benefits: Miro can zoom it in & out; current location indicator on a board for each person, different options for board navigation.

Miro has saved our product team in the last year!

  • June 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I was using Miro prior to this crazy pandemic but in the last year it has provided an incredible amount of value to our ways of working. How do we onboard new employees? How do you host engaging workshops without the tactile use of post-its and whiteboards(and biscuits!)? How do you keep a team aligned and maintain a single source of truth throughout projects? How do you socialise?! These are all problems that were effortlessly solved through Miros guidance and community, enabling the team and myself to create a shared spaces within seconds. Templates have been a lifesaver and provided a great starting point for almost anything you can think of and I no longer see Miro as a 'virtual whiteboard' but more of the ultimate collaboration tool. No more digitising what you once had to photograph and transcribe all over again. No more covering whiteboards with an exclaimed note to the cleaner: 'PLEASE DON'T RUB OUT!'. No more running out of space or picking up dried-out markers before the hunt begins to find anything other than a pink sharpie. Miro is quick, it's easy and it's here to stay.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I've really loved is the community on Miro. I would love to see more visibility of what others in the industry are doing. Talks. Videos. More content to drool over as soon as I open up Miro. How can I be even better at what I'm doing? What's hot right now? What methods are other companies doing to get the most from their employees and counterparts - this is where the value is for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
• Quickly jotting down ideas as a group or individual
• Managing my own output and balancing projects
• Creation of clear opportunity trees that can be quickly shared, commented and curated
• Kick off meetings; team alignment by sharing previous research
• Workshops - Ideation
• Creating our own templates that can speed up sand save valuable hours

Miro: A fantastic tools for education and remote collaboration work

  • June 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
use miro for teaching, discussion and remote work.
MIro provides a lot of useful templates. The most important thing is that its user interface is very intuitive and simple, so I don't need to spend more time to familiarize students with the tools during the teaching process.
In addition, being able to use Chinese well is also a big advantage of miro.

In the current process of using miro, about 50 people are working together online at the same time. The use situation is smooth without too much delay, which shows that the software engine design is excellent.

The best part is that miro's close integration with a lot of online applications allows miro's discussion results to be directly transferred to project management or time management tools, which helps to organize and track meeting results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro doesn't have too many shortcomings. I really want to say that there is the choice of Chinese fonts. If you can freely include a variety of Chinese fonts in the font selection, it will be a big advantage for the Chinese market.

In addition, in terms of multi-platform support, the mobile app is still not so easy to use. I know this is a limitation, but. Many students and customers, if they can have a better user experience when they only have mobile phones, it should be more perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teaching:
It is used to teach design thinking courses and project management courses. The original templates inside have saved me a lot of preparation time. Especially for distance courses, this tool has improved the traditional teaching methods a lot. At the same time, online collaboration also makes students less distracted. I can observe each student's situation on the template.

At work:
Used as a tool for discussing topics. Through the existing work review template, you can discuss work progress with colleagues when you go to work remotely, and adopt visual management, which saves more errors.

Personally:
It is used to record learning knowledge points, through the use of mind maps, to record learning knowledge. Since MIRO's whiteboard can be extended, it can be quickly recorded and connected.
Since Miro has very good graphical tools and many supporting software, it can integrate almost all tasks on it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Maybe Chinese culture will be a direction.

In particular, there are a lot of Chinese users. If the Chinese interface or Chinese fonts can be supported, it will be more suitable for the education market in the Chinese region.

    Architecture & Planning

Simply Useful

  • June 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's straightforward, yet there are many ways to work this. I use this for organizing ideas. It's effortless and allows you to go dive deep into your thought. You can also share your idea organization with others remotely. I'm glad I can put my idea out visually so that others can see my thought process.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's really hard to find a downside so far. As far as my current experience, I'm thinking the downloaded software was more slower or had connection issues, so maybe the web app version was better. I'm not sure if the downloaded version can work offline. If it can, it would be amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So I am a Project Manager for AE Design Company. I've realized that our company could use a fast and collaborative idea-sharing platform to get the design concept. There are many regulations and criteria to be considered in each project. So what better way is there to share ideas and collaborate than Miro? Now I haven't implemented this to everyone but so far it's just me using it, but I'm about to share this with everyone pretty soon.

Versatile tool for many needs

  • June 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Here is what we were running into, teams were in a silo. I am sure you have seen this in your org. We needed a basic tool to help our teams plan but also cross-collaborate. We have easily been able to implement Miro. Working with their teams was easy, and we are training our teams now. Easy to train and easy to learn. I enjoyed the provided training and some of the humor. It covered the basics and was just enough information that we weren't taking up too much time. Teams keep asking for live training from me, but the included training is highly recommended.

Easy to learn and lots of applications. I use this mainly for whiteboarding or training. We needed a tool that could help visualize our training and documentation needs. The ideation, voting, and collaboration functionality is fantastic. I enjoy the timer, voting, and sticky notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point, there is no dislikes at this time. I am a non-admin, so I don't have access to see that side of the setup and admin.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration between teams. Miro has helped us improve our planning sessions and assigning tasks. We have also used Miro for our yearly and quarterly planning; this has been helpful to show our thoughts, plans, ad intentions to other teams.
