Great Collaboration Tools

  • June 03, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can work on the same boards at the same time as your colleagues and there are various templates you can use. I also like that you can export frames or share the link with others to view or edit.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that sometimes it is hard to click or double click on something, or that sometimes an entire board moves while everyone is on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to brainstorm at the same time in an organized fashion under one board. Saves time of having one document passed around. You can also see where someone's cursor is.

The tool I was always searching for

  • June 03, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to use, share and collaborate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet.

Maybe...that this tool is only a tool and should not be perceived as a replacement for traditional in person collaboration and creativity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote collaboration. Worksession facilitation. Problem on boarding. Problem framing. Persona codesign.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
2 of my large clients have already adopted Miro, after I ran work sessions. I also teach a class at UofT and it has also been adopted.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
training and workshop facilitation
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great place to visualize ideas and collaborate with others.

Sets a new standard for digital workplaces

  • June 03, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Extraordinarily thoughtful interaction design with just-enough flexible structure to the social model; together with an architecture that supports plug-in tools and extensions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing jumps out as a poor quality experience but I feel I haven't yet explored 10% of its possibilities!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Shared, persistent thinking and action space providing a meta-layer 'beyond the document' as a metaphor — that supports both group collaboration and individual reflection. A crucial digital platform for any kind of creative studio practice — especially given pandemic lockdown and WFH dynamics.

The go-to tool for anything visual in remote teams and presentations.

  • June 03, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Miro in many different ways in the company. It is excellent as a collaborative whiteboard on our meetings with our mainly remote staff to quickly share ideas. I use it also as a presentation tool where I can sketch the concepts and then take the others along my thought process with follow me feature. Its simple yet powerful set of primitives are usually fine for most of our needs, but there are always plugins and extensions when needed. One can add almost anything with drag and drop. Last but not least, comments can be added anywhere, which makes refining anything to be presented to the client very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's simplicity means it's not the best tool for complex drawings like UML or circuit diagrams, there are better tools for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most common use cases we use Miro for are shared whiteboard during meetings, collaborative presentations creating, and UX/UI sketching. But over time, it has become the go-to tool for anything visual. For us, it has completely replaced vector drawing programs, Powerpoint, UI sketching tools, and we even use it for planning and scrum on smaller projects.

Best co-working tool to organize team brainstorming

  • June 03, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Stable and fluid experience even with relatively large number of people on the platform
- Mind-mapping tools and pre-set templates to organize different discussions
- Lots of extensions - especially the Figma plugin
- Ability to play music during the brainstorming timers
What do you dislike about the product?
- Need a team to truly get the most of Miro
- Locking objects is not very intuitive and takes time getting used to
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Can imagine a future where remote work is truly possible because of Miro (and gets better if you own an iPad)
- Free brainstorming discussions where we can collaborate together
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Explore if you can access Miro through partnerships with accelerators etc. or through the personal plan to understand if its right for you and your team. It's truly best if you can experience Miro with a team. It gets better once you learn how to use frames and lock objects so people don't inadvertently move things around.

Next level collaboration tool !

What do you like best about the product?
That you can collaborate in realtime just like in a rooms
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes slows don the computor when using teams and Miro together. When sharing the screen with Microsoft teams and running Miro with a large (more than 4-5 people) it quickly eats your memor and everything gets slow. The voting process could be improved a bit. If you have use it to vote on stickers that have been grouped together and you want the group to be the thing you vote on thats not possible. Now you have to vote on only the single individual stickers within that group. Sure you can add upp the nyber of votes to see the totality but a feature to group a number of stickers would be nice. In the beginning it was hard to know the exakt tips and trix I use today to make my life easier. For example knowing that you can select multibple items by holding down the shift key and then draging the mous was something I had to google to find out before knowing. This is now a lifesaver for me and I cant live without it. Having this as some sort of tool tip in the beginning would have been nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The retrospectives are perfect to use with Miro and I have realized that in Covid times you can still have collaborative sessions even online
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look through the templates, there are so many good to choose from!

Miro is an excellent collaborative work platform, ideal for remote work.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is able to integrate a wide range of content: text, images, videos, hyperlinks, among others.
What do you dislike about the product?
An option for replacing text would be very useful, custom colors can be described only using hex, it would be useful to use CYMK, RGB, or other color systems, even load customized pallets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brainstorming sessions are being made using this tool, the advantage is that anyone can see at anytime the idea board and add or edit one.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Feel free to explore all the options, it has a very intuitive interface, Miro is the future of collaborative work

What do you like best about the product?
It's such a flexible platform! Versatile and easy to use, loads very quickly too, even if there is a lot of data on a board.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, really! I honestly have been enjoying this platform more than most.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to brainstorm so much more easily; I am a machine learning scientist and have really been able to put my thoughts down quickly.

Just what we needed

  • June 02, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has many templates to choose from. When we needed the functionality of a physical whiteboard to manage day to day projects and move items around, Miro had what we needed. Since WorkFromHome began for our company, we use Miro on a daily basis because of how easy it is to move the items on our virtual "whiteboard" around and how much it looks and feels like our physical whiteboard in the office. It is easy to use and figure out as well - we got Miro up and running in one day.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can be pretty clunky in Miro, but sometimes if you're not too careful or moving too quickly, you can easily select an item from the board that you didn't mean to.

Other than that, we haven't had issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is helping us function exactly the same as we would in the physical office, but virtually as our team works from home.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend Miro if you want the look and feel of a physical whiteboard but in a virtual environment. Also, if you're working on any kind of project that includes collaboration and visualization, this is a great tool.
