Miro feels like the next step we need on our 21th century way of working.

  • October 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What feels best about miro is that I can have a wide range of work I can do. During day time, I can facilitate workshops with colleagues, run design reviews, etc. But at night I can sit down and use miro for my illustration projects and use the platform in a whole different way.
What do you dislike about the product?
What troubles me about miro is performance. I've seen miro used by 300 people in a row, the sight wasn't pretty, and I can forgive that. But I've also seen it used by a team of five, and we all complained about the performace as well. When doing personal projects, I use a lot of images uploaded to miro, and I usually start the desktop app some twenty minutes before I get to work so that I can avoid any issues loading the photos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team started using miro as soon as the pandemic began. We used to write our workshops and group dynamics on a post-it and paste them on our meeting room glass walls; good times, then, but it was slow work, and a lot of information went missing. Miro began as a tool to replace the physical workshop experience but stayed due to how easier it made our lives.

As to my personal illustration projects, I use miro as a reference wall. It's a place where I bring each and every picture (usually from Pinterest) I'll be using on my next drawing. When it's freelance work, I can also bring my contractor to a miro board and facilitate a workshop with them--get them to review or co-create something alongside me.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go on and try for yourself and your team; you won't be disappointed.

Best Collaboration tool and a Virtual Classroom

  • October 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As an independent trainer and consultant, I use Miro as a virtual classroom. I can hang a lot of virtual posters, I can whiteboard concepts just the way I would do it in a physical setting. Every experience I use to provide for my students in person, except for food and caffeine I can provide with Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a lot of time to load up. When you are using it with Single Signon in the organization, I have to type in the entire user name before it redirects me to the log-in page for my organization's single sign-on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for teaching and helping my students collaborate. I also use Miro as a tool for team launches, icebreakers, and design thinking workshops. When I am learning, I create Mind maps to keep track of my learning. I am thinking of launching an App, I am already starting to use it for Storyboarding.

A game changer for online meetings

  • October 22, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
I love how it helps me set team goals and make spoken communication visual in a multilingual team.
We use it to plan projects. I also love it's endless and easy to navigate.
Lot's of templates help me to represent my thoughts in a nice looking way as I am no designer :)
Timer plugin and following people on the board are very efficient in meetings. Also, it's colorful, so people are not bored!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really a downside, but sometimes it's challenging for some people to start using it straight away and there are lots of onboardings, but the features are so wast, it's impossible to explain in 5 minutes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping everyone on the same page and focused on a goal

Every designers must have tool

  • October 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
how easy it is to learn and use, most of the software I come across takes a lot of time to grab, but since miro provides easily accessible resources to learn it took me no time to get started, plus I really enjoy their templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing actually, it has made my life easier as a designer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
currently, as a UX designer, I am using miro for mind mapping, it is really easy to collect all the ideas in one place, add links and comments, plus so easy to share them with anyone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
the only tool you need to document your research, do mind mapping, user journeys, etc, will make your life easier as a designer.

Intuitive and delightful

  • October 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm always a bit terrified of technical difficulties when remote, but the easy-to-use interface has helped me run workshops with folks who never even heard of it before.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few hotkeys that I'm familiar with from other programs (Figma, Creative Cloud, Sketch, etc.) don't translate, but the majority do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I run workshops and create workflow diagrams and sketches for non-designers on my team, and it's been great. It's great to collaborate virtually and also to have everything documented digitally instead of having sketchy photos of the office whiteboard.

Way beyond my expectations

  • October 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is Extremely flexible, intuitive, and cool to use. My initial goal was to facilitate brainstorming and Mind mapping processes, but during my initial experience, I was able to use it to manage meetings, to capture concepts, and even was my base to plan a trip with a level of detail I never expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not used the multiple user licenses extensively, and such a process is not clear to me. It is not clear whether the participants in my group handle their separate, own dashboards, and I still need to learn how collaboration/privacy works to offer a better concept. Still, I am in a learning phase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mind Mapping, Tracking Meetings, and I am starting to use it to conceptualize and execute projects. As I mentioned, it has already been beneficial to me to plan a personal trip!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I always use Miro for creating my mind maps and create my conceptual phase of a study.

  • October 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of creating ideas and putting them together to see the narrative of study phases. Also, it allows collaboration so that I can work with my team, we use for brain-storm, analysis, research findings and design phases.
What do you dislike about the product?
It will be much better if there is a transparency option on imported images because sometimes I need to create collages, making layers of a diagram or visuals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to understand of conceptual work in a project, create a narrative and work together with people, especially in online meetings and studies. It makes better understanding and visualization provides to see clearly of problems.

Great organizing space to build project in team!

  • October 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Space: I've never been missing some space... whatever the project is big or small
What do you dislike about the product?
When on a sharing screen (in zoom or teams) because sometime we work withe peoples who aren't good with computer, Miro close/bug/stop... So I need to re-start it again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ideal for brain-storming.
I prepare a structure of the project and in team we get 10-15 minutes by ourself to fill the blank and then we discuss it.
So much covered in a small amount of time!
