The best virtual whiteboard, collaboration and ideation tool on the market
What do you like best about the product?
The user experience is tremendously polished for a web-based tool and good UX design makes co-creation sessions far smoother than they should be using a virtual whiteboard. Miro has none of the clunkiness of, say, MS Teams Whiteboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The video conferencing options feel quite limited due to the browser-based solution. I feel Miro would be better off dropping those features and focusing on the things that work fluidly within a browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, almost all of our consulting work for customer organizations is done remotely. Miro lets us have productive workshops, co-design sessions and even end-customer interviews despite the ongoing pandemic.
Makes it so much easier to visualise work!
What do you like best about the product?
How customisable everything is, I never feel locked into a particular way of working. It also allows for people with different learning and working styles to collaborate on one piece of work, as no one feels locked into a 'just text' or 'just imagery' format. I also like that I can use Miro as a digital whiteboard, especially since we've been adapting to new ways of working this year. I used to be skeptical that a single tool could function effectively for digital collaboration and decision making, but Miro has really knocked it out of the park. I've even found ways to use this for work-related ice breakers and team-building activities which is really nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times the selecting function can be frustrating, where it will grab a huge chunk of my work and move it. Although, this could be misusing it. Due to the amount of choices available to show information in Miro, it can be a bit overwhelming to decide the best way to present or organise your work. I 'd love to see more variation in the pre-existing templates, as I've never felt like a template has been right for my use without quite a bit of customising first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the issues I had visualising how the structure of my projects would look. Using Miro has made it much easier for me to pick up on potential issues earlier due to this. Again, it's also made digital collaboration and brainstorming much, much easier which has really helped how we all work as a team.
A didactic and well-processed work tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is a tool that assists in the process of designing mocks, workflow control, collaborative teaching methods, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I have liked the Miro tool. It makes the work much easier for a team assigned to a project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped me manage my work by using boards to track deliveries through a work sprint, maintaining control of both the UX tool and using post-its to keep track of activities in a didactic way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a simple platform to use, educational, and segments easy to use.
Allow me to download my mind
What do you like best about the product?
I like it because I can do anything with Miro, from creating a list of books to read, to developing a complex strategy for my clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe if I get demanding, I would ask for the ability to change the color in the fonts of Tasks or checks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits: Make commercial proposals in a visual and intuitive way
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The only bad thing about trying Miro is that you won't be able to stop using it.
A really useful tool for user testing and focus groups
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way you can save the content created - adds a new element very useful for recording user feedback and focus group content
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not work on all browers, so there is always one person who gets stuck
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are doing tech startup user testing and trying to adapt to running these online. Miro means we can do our focus groups without worrying about where people are at geographically.
Miro is the dark horse of remote work
What do you like best about the product?
It's intuitive yet gives you freedom to create with very few limitations. I love collaborating across the platform and also building unique, bespoke virtual experiences using the platform for people to utilise without the need for advanced coding or complex software to make it work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't make an element (such as a shape) into a click-and-go button or embed GIFs or webpages without having to press a 'play' button. I also wish that if I lock objects that the borders of the objects would be invisible instead of outlined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving problems regarding remote work and collaboration, and also redefining what a virtual engagement experience looks like for students and staff.
¡OUR IDEAS BECOME REAL!
What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can interact with others and see the history changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the free account is too limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I tried to get ideas with classmates but I was difficult due to virtual classes. However, Miro was the way to communicate with my classmates in the best way. I love it and I Can't work without it.
Excellent tool for working collaboratively
What do you like best about the product?
It has very flexible tools and allows you to see what others are working on and what the latest modifications were that each person made in your absence. Another useful feature is that you can insert your own images and work on them. The design tool templates and their respective examples are very useful and allow for modifications. They can also be enriched with icons or post-its.
The initial tutorial to understand how to use the tool is of adequate length and, in general, the platform is quite intuitive to use.
The initial tutorial to understand how to use the tool is of adequate length and, in general, the platform is quite intuitive to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it wasn't very intuitive how to select many elements. Later I discovered that it was by combining drag click with shift. The other thing that was difficult for me was understanding the proportions of the elements on the board, for example, I put a box and when I start writing I realize it's huge because the text looks very small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During the pandemic, it was a challenge to reinvent team work dynamics. This platform helped us to plan and then develop complete projects. From the research stage to the stage of solution prototype proposals. This is possible because they have many different tools to insert on the board, and the size of this board is infinite. This allows all documents, ideas, information, and proposals to be in one place and fully accessible to the team.
A wonderful marriage between beauty and functionality
What do you like best about the product?
Unlimited possibilities to map out ideas, complex journey in beautiful ways, just like a designer would do.
What do you dislike about the product?
No reasonable pricing package for an individual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mind mapping, customer journey, ideation
Miro is a great tool for design sprints and remote working sessions
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and versatile. I can share my work with other designers and clients. I can start from scratch or use templates to start a work session.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes somebody shares with me a board just to take a look at any idea and it seems to be added to mi own boards. All of a sudden I have too many boards and it is really hard to remove them. It takes too many steps. Maybe the boards shared with me could be some way appart from the ones I created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can easily share my work or have remote work sessions in a very easy way. Miro helps me think in a visual way and then I can come back to it and keep growing the ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a very useful tool. It brings a simple way of exploring visual thinking, making your projects grow. It also has a beautiful look and feel, cute images and very trendy interactions. It works well and has a very smart design.
