The virtual whiteboardingwith some cool extras

  • November 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the timer feature for keeping workshops on track. A delighter is also the the music that covers the awkward silences when people are thinking or just adding content to the whiteboard but not speaking.
What do you dislike about the product?
The smart shapes. It's a great concept, but it's weak with a mouse. I think it benefits from proper freehand drawing, like on tablets. I just work around this by using the standard shapes and minimising any mouse required drawings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily it's a digital whiteboard that has replaced our physical boards and walls in the office. As such, it's easy to update - more so as people can update all at the same time! It's also a place to record history. In the past, people took pictures of whiteboards or invested in costly tech solutions that could print the board's content for safekeeping and later refer back to. With miro, we leave a session as it ended and either start a new frame or a new board to continue. It's just super simple and cost-effective.

Online collaboration tool that isn't boring

  • November 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a UX designer, it makes collaboration and research synthesizing relatively easy. Easy to create and show the work/effort that goes into grouping insights to clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though it doesn't happen often, it can slow down a bit depending on how many post-it notes you might have on a board or the laptop/computer I'm on.
Trying to copy and paste more than 50 items from a spread sheet would be helpful as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use miro to synthesize UX research; surveys, interviews etc., taking qualitative answers and mapping out themes uncovered.
Also used for collaborative purposes, we used dot voting to gather what ideas were the best.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Better to try and see how it fits with your work requirements. But it's a straightforward program to use and a great place to do a mind dump before refining ideas and parking ideas aside.

Miro has a lot to offer for team collaboration

  • November 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is easy to use. The UI is pretty straightfoward and the level of support that you can get from Miro is perfect. Able to hit the ground running and utilize the software quickly. Also a key gem in the software is the ability to do sticky notes online and then download them into excel. No more re-typing information from brainstorm activites!!
What do you dislike about the product?
For free users you are limited to a certain number of boards but that's understandable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brainstorming issues, root cause analysis, collaboration, housing all activities related to an initiative or project in one place. Also ease of use so people can make traction with their projects striaght out of the gate.

The best whiteboard collaboration tool out there

  • November 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to collaborate with others, run workshops and other work sessions, and how the Miro team is clearly constantly learning about their users needs and building new cool features!
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, it's not much of a dislike, but they announced a clustering feature for the post it notes on their annual conference, and it's not available yet. It's really hard to be teased like that, and not have such a great feature available!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro makes it a lot easier to collaborate with the team. Besides the functionality to have everyone on the same board, seeing each other's cursors, etc. I think the tools Miro makes available and the way the whole UI looks makes everyone more comfortable with whiteboarding. Some people are usually shy or not comfortable with their drawing skills, and Miro feels just like a playground for your ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't waste any more time looking for a solution. Miro is the best!

Beautiful design and real-time collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
The best things about Miro for me are:
- Enough flexibility to make things look really good.
- Great array of templates.
- Functions like voting and timers are really helpful when co-creating.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that Miro can have a learning curve for
Also, usually, presentations or PDFs take too long to change slides/pages, making me always want to download to go to the source Google Drive link instead of doing things directly in Miro.
Would love to import some Figma files here - I know that are some plugins, but it would be great to work it natively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usually, the main benefit for me is putting most information needed in one place and allows me and my team to work together even though we're all in home-office.
Not saying it takes a bit more work than doing it in person, but for me it's the next best thing.

Excelent. Much more as a whiteboard

What do you like best about the product?
Interaction on the board in real time, much like being in the same room. The support of multiple file extensions, to work on them directly on the lookout, is incredible. It would be great if this support is expanding over time
What do you dislike about the product?
When the page is refreshed, when using the web, it expels you from internal video calls. I find it very difficult to register a client or guest from a board. It should be an option at hand (example right click on the user_ unsubscribe from the board)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborative remote work. I went from having to use at least 2 platforms simultaneously and having to exchange files to be able to write information, to being able to do it in real time. greatly improves workflow

Great ability to visualize ideas and concepts.

What do you like best about the product?
Diversity of Panels and illustrations loaded with concepts and pre-filled that help different managers in different business segments. Easy and intuitive to use, in addition to a refined graphic aspect.

Possibility to share with different people and make meetings and work alignments more dynamic.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that the program does not export files in PPT format, for PowerPoint, would be an important improvement since the majority of the corporate market still uses PPT.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I managed to organize the entire strategic planning of the company in Miro. The big difference is that with a few boards and sophisticated images, I was able to materialize and make visually clear what previously required lengthy presentations, a lot of text, and few differentiated images.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
So far, it has been the best tool I have identified for collaboration, diagramming, and assembling schemes for demonstrating ideas, working in the context of innovation and group dynamics.

Miro is the most flexible collaboration platform available today.

What do you like best about the product?
Very clear UX, thought out to the smallest detail. For me, Miro is also an amazing tool for creative work, reflection on projects, decomposition of initiatives. The power of stickers is tremendous. At the same time, the whole work is built so seamlessly that it is impossible not to enjoy the work process. This becomes especially obvious when you try to work on other platforms (because someone on the team is more used to it). Thanks to the Miro team for their work.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is impossible to add stickers by clicking on the uploaded image.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration. Structuring text-semantic data. Solving creative tasks.

BS rev

What do you like best about the product?
- colorful and inspiring templates that can be used in preparing workshops or organizing my data
- different access links differentiating users
- large and infinite space for teams and projects - I don't have to arrange many tables - one is always enough
What do you dislike about the product?
- unuseful changing between pointer and grabber of a mouse - it could be more intuitive and faster
- default size of the text is not automatically fitter to the rest of created content
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- data are always visualized in an appropriate and esthetic way
- I don't have to care about colors - they are matched by default
- I have and ordered in docs cause I have only one table
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to create a simple and esthetic space for your collaborators - try to use miro. any of them can use it at the same time

Easy to use, share and collaborate with!

  • November 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has been the "go-to" tool for myself and my team, from creating presentations all the way to creating low-fidelity prototypes on the go. Our one-stop-shop for all our needs!
What do you dislike about the product?
When browsing by use-case, it can sometimes get overwhelming when there are so many tools to deep-dive into. Would be good to have small videos showcasing the content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because everyone in our team follows a different schedule, it's hard to keep everyone on top of what others have been working on. By using Miro, we can add comments and tag the relevant people, and get feedback without needing to set multiple meetings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Whilst Miro is a great tool that can help with all kinds of scenarios and needs, be sure to stay organized and on top of your boards - meaning labelling and keeping boards in folders are key!
