The best visual collaborative board so far!
What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows you to design complex or simple boards without having to go through an intense training. The tool is user-friendly and full of inspiration in the templates section. I took me a day or two to familiarize myself to the tool, which seemed a little complex at first, but wasn't in the end. There are juste so many possibilities it can be a bit overwhelming, so taking a concrete example to apply your learnings to directly was the best solution I found. After over a year of use, I still haven't explored 30% of the features and capacity of the tool, which offers new features about every week!
What do you dislike about the product?
The Help pages contain a lot of tips, but some specific points are sometimes a little hard to find about. An instant chatbot could go a long way helping us get to the proper solution faster. There are a few features I'd like to see in the tool to make it even better, but it's really super technical stuff, which don't change my global experience, and I'm sure they'll appear in time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro allows me to do several things:
-Store information in an oraganized and visual way - completing the use of other tools such a Drive
-Make information visual to share with my colleagues and clients: especially project timelines
-Offer collaborative space during workshops for clients and partners to be creative on, on both "fun" or more strategic topics

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for collaborative tool for your own use or to share with your team or clients, making information viusal and supporting your remote workshops, this tool is for you! After comparing several tools, we settled on this one and even convinced our partners to get on board:)
Online Whiteboarding made for a successful thesis project
What do you like best about the product?
Frictionless user experience and easy for guests to use. Much better than Docs or any other online brainstorming/collaboration platform I've used as a student. Easy to collaborate within a group as well as working with outsiders to aggregate information and address issues. Helpful for visual learners and those trying to "put the pieces together" more than any other platform. Quick responses whenever I've reached out for customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very few downsides. Core concept is simple and easy to use, and I've found features for every idea that I consider implementing on a board. I think they have space to improve the templates or make them more modular so getting started is as easy as plug-and-play, but that's just opportunity for upside!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used Miro in a process improvement project with a number of distinct teams all working together. Miro allowed me to aggregate their ideas and questions along a project timeline and allow them to build off of each other. I worked to faciliatate their discussions and found that Miro was very fluid and easy for all parties to understand.
Product Designer
What do you like best about the product?
I'm on the product design team where I have to collaborate with my cross-functional teams on a daily basis so it's extremely important that there is an efficient way of communicating and leaving feedback. I would have to say that Miro is by far my favorite tool that I currently use on a daily basis because it allows me to collaborate effectively with my colleagues. (especially the comment tool where you can tag your colleagues)
We have weekly internal design reviews with the UI & UX team where we all present our work and also have the ability to visually collect notes on the same artboard so that everyone on the team is aligned.

What do you dislike about the product?
So far, not much actually. The only thing I was trying to figure out is how to go back to a comment history once you resolve the issue. But other than that, everything else is pretty intuitive and easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-process visualization
-mind maps
-brainstorming sessions
- Wireframes
-Collaboration across the larger team
-being able to view all documents at once & it makes it easier to present

I would highly recommend this tool to not only designers but companies that work with cross-functional partners.
The Next Level for Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
There is an amazing amount of flexibility on the base application. Add the plugins, and it becomes an even greater productivity and creativity beast! I'm using it almost every day for meetings and general creative work. There is also an amazing amount of information on all of the templates from so many different providers. It almost becomes a knowledge library in it's own right.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to see more text formatting functionality, with that I would even consider it as a full replacement for Google Slides. I also wish there would be a multi-language introduction that helps unregistered users to learn the tool without me having to facilitate it and that the users can use at their own pace. Locking the templates can also be some what frustrating. Also I think there should be a feature where admins can limit what users can do. So, for example, if you just want people to put stickies without connectors or text boxes that would be great. Some less tech savy users have a hard time with that. Also I wish you could change the orientation of the video call boxes either horizontal or vertical.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am collaborating, creative mapping, work material creation, presentations. I'm able to do all these things in one place. I can see my work more visually and communicate it much easier in this virtual world.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are other options out there, but in my opinion, Miro is the best. They keep getting more and more features and content. Honestly, I like it so much, I'd love it to become part of Google's Workspace! That would just be AMAZING and fantastic boost to Google Jamboard.
The best collaboration tool during and after remote-working period
What do you like best about the product?
Basically, all use-cases and things that I and my team ever need were already there. My favourite ones are: blind time-limited voting, a bunch of pre-ready templates, timers, batch option for sticky notes, what's changed in the meantime...
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no downsides I can come up with. It's pretty easy to collaborate with peers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During the pandemic period, it was pretty challenging to find a way to collaborate with team members without writeable walls in the office. Having brainstorming via some shared Doc and video call had its limitations, then we have realized how easy it is to use the Miro and have a limitless whiteboard :D
It's even better than writeable walls in the office since it's digital and we can come back to it at any time in the future and do the follow-up. I also find it useful for mind mappings either for individual purposes or for team's ones.

Easy to use shared space for design and collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Miro has a very clean, intuitive and straightforward design. We are able to easily attach external images and use the Miro toolbox to create and evolve our ideas. Aligning the various containers and components we add is easy as they align and lock into place with ease. Copying components and sketches from one board to another is painless!
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss the gird on the canvas and don't know how to re-enable it. It simply disappeared. Searching boards could be easier, the package we are on only allows for search by board name. While we are considering upgrading in any case for some additional features, it feels like the provided search feature at the level we are is pretty useless. It also feels a little resource-intense - having a number of Miro tabs open can grind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
System design, interface design. Simple illustrations and mind maps to dump out.
Why I'm in love with Miro
What do you like best about the product?
- Very intuitive interface, even for not so much digital natives
- Simple and visual
- A lot of common shortcuts and principles with design tools (like Adobe Suite), also a perfect tool for designers, with a good integration of png/svg files, a lot of typefaces, presentation/slides futures, grid, etc
- Other apps integrations like Google Drive, Notion etc
- Principle "all in Miro" when you don't have to switch between different platforms and apps and could do a maximum by staying on Miro board: for example, you can simply conduct a workshop without using Slack or Zool, cause you already have chat and video chat in Miro; the same for images/icons search, and even fast prototyping for UX design
- Completely in love with new features as vote and music
- Miroverse and Miro ready to use templates
- More than a tool, it's firstable about community, sharing, and new collaborative future building

What do you dislike about the product?
- No translation possibility, for example for no English native users (like french, german, etc)
- A bit complicated system to allow other users to copy your board
- Less powerful than Mural, for example, for big facilitation sessions (we have recently made an event for 300 participants and Miro haven't worked as we planned: very slow, a lot of bugs; with Mural it was easier
- Mobile app is not so easy to use and powerful as a web version

Ultimate shared collaboration planning tool
What do you like best about the product?
it's a giant Pureref board that's online, can handle tons of images, works fast, great for writing down ideas and linking things with lines
its great for my line of work around art and videos. I even got my workplace to buy a bunch of accounts to use for my team

What do you dislike about the product?
it loses a point for not having darkmode built in. Being in this industry too long has made my eyes sensitive to bright screens, and the background for miro is glaring white.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
art is a fickle thing, words can't describe exactly what someone wants when working with a team of artists,
you need to show video, images, gifs, and Miro does all these, and if someone says make it pop, they can create a small collection with a frame called pop
so you actually understand what someone really wants, rather than guessing.
It's also great for shared scratch notes on shots or whatever that people can share with the team

Great tool for teachers
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Miro in my classes since schools were closed in Germany. It's an excellent tool for working together in groups, collecting and organizing information, and presenting it to the class. It's easy to use, and students of all ages had no problems understanding the different features and the various ways to communicate and interact. Scrolling through the change history of a whiteboard is very useful since students sometimes delete items by accident. So it's easy to restore these items. I also plan to use Miro when students come back to school again because it's easy to use on mobile devices like tablets or smartphones.
The most helpful feature is the different shapes which can either be inserted pre-filled or blank. With just one click, you can add more aspects to the page and shape it individually.
Students can communicate very easily when working simultaneously through the chat, but they can also leave comments for their classmates when they work at different times or at different speeds.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about Miro. I've been using it in different scenarios for different age groups, and none of them had any significant issues using Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In homeschooling times, it was hard to find interactive ways to work in groups or teams and present results for everyone. Miro helped solving this problem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro has been offering easy access to the education plan. See their website for further info.
A great tool for creative collaboration for design agencies
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of tools makes it incredibly easy to collaborate between creative teams. Miro makes it easy for newcomers to use a digital whiteboard even if they have never tried a similar application before. You can use it on desktop computers or phones and tablets, and it's best on touch screens.
One of the great advantages of Miro is that it allows you to create a digital work environment that allows you to collaborate with your teammates in real time.
Once on a board, you can see where each team member is (through a cursor with their name), while everyone can modify their content at the same time.
In addition, you can make a video call from the same platform and share a screen.

What do you dislike about the product?
The onboarding process can be a little overwhelming for non-tech people. The only problem is that its free version limits many of these features, making it perfect for singles or very small design teams. If you have more than three people who need to use a whiteboard app, consider paying for Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps us collaborate between our designers without the need of being on-site in the studio. The main board has a variety of templates you can insert, such as kanban boards, flowcharts, mind maps, etc. The rest of the whiteboard space remains empty and you can insert various templates. This is a fantastic way to use different brainstorming methods on a whiteboard.
Collaboration is a key element of Miro. You and team members can chat and send messages, add comments, leave sticky notes, and create a centralized note for meeting items. You can also link and embed into other team apps such as Slack. The premium version also includes video chat, voting and screen sharing.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro can be adapted to the needs of your organization, if you find a way to integrate it into your work processes.
A great example is the Kanban board that allows you to visualize the flow of tasks, prioritize them and assign them to different members of your team. The cards allow you to add comments and mention other users.
