Absolutely Love This Software!

What do you like best about the product?
It's powerful media tool of course! We've been using the platform of 3 years now and it has been helpful in monitoring campaign performance. I also love the new Mira feature which easily gives me a quick view of the media landscape that we need to check and easily share it to management team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updates took awhile but I appreciate the new updates on the dashboard. I hope they are flexible on the alerts on different messaging tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Media monitoring can go in different directions when you're monitoring a certain topic. With the help of the platform we can easily see conversations drivers and sentiment shift of conversations. The alerts also help whenever we monitor a topic.

What do you like best about the product?
It has given our nonprofit access to a series of tools that reshaped our communications strategies. From planning to evaluation, the platform has been a great improvement to our operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no negative comments about the platform. The price would be an issue, but Meltwater has worked with us to make it accessible to our small nonprofit budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A listening tool allows us to understand the impact of our limited budget vs the reach that we have in media. It also helps us understand how the topics that we care about are being discussed by others.

When you perform a specific search in Explore and then press the "back" button, it returns you all the way to the main Explore page instead of taking you back to your previous page.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has been instrumental in helping us monitor media coverage and understand how our organization is perceived publicly--something we're just starting here at Pathways. The platform’s audience insights and social media tools have improved how we understand our audiences. With its analytics, we’ve been able to make smarter, data-driven decisions and run more effective campaigns—even with limited resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a smaller charity it's an expensive platform and we're unable to access many elements due to budget restrictions.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to tag stories, and it picks up coverage from a wide variety of sources. Customer support and training are excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the process of making a report clunky.

It's finding and assembling coverage of issues and events.

There are so many features and ways to make Meltwater custom to what I want to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's fairly complicated and can involve a lot of additional costs to get exactly the data I'm looking for.

Meltwater is helping us send out press releases.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Meltwater for over a decade. Throughout the years, I have considered trying other media monitoring platforms, but each time I explore a new product, it simply does not measure up in terms of results. Meltwater offers the most robust and comprehensive selection of media sources. I also value how straightforward it is to conduct searches and keep track of my clips. The platform is continually introducing new features, and the team is always extremely helpful when it comes to training on these updates. Whenever I have needed extra support, they have been quick to arrange a call and provide assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting and broadcast funtions could be more user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Given the number of clients we manage, manually tracking our clips would be impossible. We initially turned to Meltwater after one of our campaigns went viral, and now, a decade later, they remain a dependable tool for monitoring all the coverage we secure for our clients.

Meltwater allows me to track coverage which benefits me because I can analyze the public perception of our company.

Great for Brand Monitoring, but Can Be Complicated and Pricey

What do you like best about the product?
I like Meltwater because it helps you quickly see what people are saying about your brand online and in the news. It gives easy-to-understand reports and lets teams work together smoothly. It’s a great tool to keep track of your reputation and connect with your audience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, I don’t like that Meltwater feels a bit complicated to use at times. The dashboard can be confusing, and it takes a while to find the reports or insights I need. Also, it’s quite expensive compared to other tools that offer similar features, which makes it harder to justify the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can react quickly if something negative starts spreading (crisis management) rather than discovering it too late.

I save a lot of time that I would otherwise spend searching through many websites, social media platforms, etc.

I get a clearer picture of whether my campaigns or messages are working (via sentiment, reach, share of voice).

I can see what competitors are doing or how they are being talked about, which helps me plan better.

I can give stakeholders/report-up with data and dashboards, which helps show impact and justify resources.
