Keep me up to date

What do you like best about the product?
Receiving daily emails in my inbox that report any press or social mentions. This helps us to keep executives up to date and be able to more easily interface with the media.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve for usability, but it can be easily overcome with some training. I have been using it for over a year and feel that I have not yet learned or used all of its capabilities. The time it takes to fully explore it is significant, but it is probably worth it in the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have the most up to date mentions and press always at our fingertips, allowing us to stay in the know faster and more efficiently.

Take the training before you dig in!

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to generate reports and daily news emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
I WANT to like this service. There are a lot of ways it can be useful to me. But honestly, the incessant constant follow-ups and disguised "support" calls that are really just sales calls make dealing with them basically unbearable. The majority of your target market is PR professionals, Meltwater. And frankly, most of us see straight through your aggressive sales tactics and they drive us insane. If I have already paid for your service and are using it, please, please leave me alone and let me use it. Don't call me 5-6 times a week trying to sell me on the "next" thing. And if I tell you I'll get back to you, don't throw a meeting on my calendar for the next day uninvited. There are more effective ways to get upsells and attention. Also, your media contact database (arguably the most important tool for PR professionals) is definitely subpar to other networks out there.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can find out how many people have likely seen or read a media placement (likely impressions).
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I don't think the numbers are completely accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clients want to know if the media placements we secure for them are worth it or not, and by showing them the impressions, we can illustrate this.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to monitor what users on social media are saying about your organization across multiple platforms, in real-time, is extremely valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
You're unable to share Facebook posts to your organization's page directly from Meltwater.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to track growth across our social media platforms efficiently, which informs our strategy for the next quarter/year.

What do you like best about the product?
easy to use, easy interface which helps newcomers as well. Meltwater support is amazing, they are always ready to help you in your needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes too much work =) finding info sometimes takes long. good info and amount of it can be a problem as well. there are so many options and opportunities.. If you do not know what you want or what you are aiming to it is easy to get lost with all the info that is available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
finding out who we reached is very easy. meltwater gives us easy reports as well as options what to do. it has given us several new media contacts we could not found ourself.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
easy to use and gives you several options to control your assignements. Lots of options to mke different kind of reports to your clients. Also has a good list for contacts in the media.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that I can monitor media trends through this software, and I feel like it's really cutting-edge.
What do you dislike about the product?
I just feel like this company is very new – and I'm not sure if there's a support system in place that's fully functional in case the user has an issue.

Reaching key influencers and growing my organization's business outside of our city.

What do you like best about the product?
- incredibly easy to use
- visually stunning
- allows you to track multiple queries at once, giving rich data very clearly
What do you dislike about the product?
Takes some time to get the hang of, which is not helped by the fact that much of the data seems to appear in many different places, adding some confusion to the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can now look holistically at the social media of our direct competitors to see how we compare and where we can improve. Also possible to view the trends of our client base.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Excellent support is given, enabling validation of your own interpretations and also insight into ways of improving social interactions. Just make sure you take the time to familiarise yourself with the tool!

What do you like best about the product?
The fact you can follow your business or your clients' activity on social media and online newspapers - makes it a remarkable tool and saves you a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be complicated to find specific tools and sometimes it lags or bugs, which means you cannot access the website for few hours. However, it happens very rarely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring problems, keeping all the information and data on one platform. Being able to access data from any period at any time.

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is easy to use and versatile. I regularly use it to find what our target audience are talking about and what they're interested in. It's vital to our monthly and quarterly reports for our clients, to demonstrate the effectiveness of our social content, to highlight potential influencers and to propose new content themes based on what our audience are posting about. It also helps with community management and identifying conversations that our clients can partake in. Not only that, but it enables us to track competitors and create benchmarks, so we can see how our clients are performing versus the market. It also enables exporting straight to ppt, which as a planner is massively helpful and saves me a tonne of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little. The set up can take some time and requires support. To get the most out of the tool it does require general maintenance and iterative improvements - you're not going to be up and running and require no further work within a week or two.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It massively helps with reporting and positioning my agency as the client's expert for social. It helps me with the analysis and reporting of our content, and justifying what we've done. It makes it really simple to do regular reporting, saving hours of manual labour. I've used several social listening tools previously, and with this one I feel as though I get more information in less time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very strong social listening tool - there are a number out there, but this is the real deal.
